3rd Person's POV
Y/n didn't wake up for whole day. But She got conscious on Sunday Afternoon. Madam Pomfrey said that Y/n has to bed rest for the whole week which she partly was thankful for. When Hermione found out Y/n's conscious again, she left her homework and ran towards Y/n.
Hermione hugged Y/n so tight that Y/n was out of breathe. "H-Hermione... I-I can't b-breath" Y/n said not fighting back the hug. Hermione let her go immediately. Y/n noticed that Hermione was on verge of tears "W-wait, you're c-crying?" Y/n asked worriedly, she patted Hermione's shoulder.
"Of course I am!!! you don't know how worried I was!!! Why did you do it??!! You could've have stayed on the pitch!!" Hermione yelled at Y/n while crying.
"Ms. Granger, please don't speak loudly. Ms. Kim woke up a while ago but still it isn't very healthy for her to hear loud things and all" Madam Pomfrey said as she gave warm Lemon tea to Y/n.
"I'm sorry" Hermione sobbed as Madam Pomfrey left them. Y/n took a sip of the tea and instantly knew that it calmed her body.
"You did a great job in the match. Wood said that you scored alot for the team to stay in the league.. We still lost that match with Hufflepuff though." Ron told Y/n
"I'm glad I could help" Y/n smiled. Even though the girl was smiling, she looked very tired. She was almost pale.
"Thank you for coming to me back there... Its my fault that I didn't pay much attention and because of that this happened to you.. I'm really sorry" Harry apologized
"Don't be.. there was no way I could leave you like that.. I came to warn you about them but I was late" Y/n said with slight guilt. She saw that Harry was too wearing his PJs which meant he too got attacked by the dementor.
"There's one more thing I want to apologized for" Harry said to Y/n as she sipped her tea. She looked at him telling him to go on "When I woke up yesterday after that.. you weren't there with the people who were by my bed.. well, I didn't knew that you got attacked as well, so.. I was angry.. I thought that you didn't care about me but.. When I found out, I honestly felt pathetic" Harry said
"Well.. its alright, don't worry. I think it might be the side effects because of what dementors did. Because, when I woke up, there was no one around me at all. Even Madam Pomfrey was not here. I felt like nobody cared about me.. but.. here you are" Y/n said smiling at her best friends.
Four of them, talked about Dumbledore being angry and shooing the dementors out. But then, they heard someone running outside. The door burst open revealing Jake who was panting loudly. His hair looked like a mess. His eyes were puffy. He looked a little relieved when his eyes fell on Y/n. He made his way towards her.
"I knew I shouldn't have gone to take a nap" Jake said as he panted. He threw his arms on Y/n, hugging her so tightly that she literally had to breathe through her mouth. He cupped Y/n's face "didn't I tell you to inform me if you're up to something?" He asked worriedly
"yes but, I didn't plan it.. it just happened" Y/n said. Its true that it wasn't her intention to do any of this. She was so immersed in the game that she forgot to warn Harry before. "But, why do you look so.... tired?? Did you get a sleep?" Y/n asked
"Sleep? How could I when my sister is basically on the bed unconscious? I didn't leave your side hoping you would wake any second. But you didn't. In the morning, Fred and George forced me to sleep, so I decided to take a nap" Jake told her "But you decide to wake up when I'm not around" Jake said and they heard someone coming in.
It was Fred and George, they were huffing too. "Just h-how? How did y-you manage to run t-this fast right after waking up?" Fred asked huffing
"because of you, we basically ran around the whole castle!!" George said annoyedly to Jake
"You two deserve that!! I told you to wake me up, right after Y/n wakes up and what did you do?? you informed me an hour later!" Jake scolded his friends
"We did that so you could at least rest a little. you were up all night!" Fred said plopping on the empty bed next to Y/n's bed
"you were up all night?" Y/n asked, Her face still resting in Jake's palm.
"What does 'didn't leave your side' mean to you?" Jake asked
"I know that, but.. still, you should've taken rest" Y/n said removing Jake's hand from her face
"I didn't want to.. I thought something might happen to you if I wasn't here" Jake told her
"What I mean is... you could've slept there on the empty bed.. so when I woke, wouldn't you be the first person next to me?" Y/n said pointing on the bed Fred was sitting on.
"I did not think of that" Jake said accepting his defeat in argument.
After an hour. Madam Pomfrey shooed everyone out. Only Y/n and Harry were left alone, Since Harry was supposed to stay for the day. After a while Harry told Y/n about the Shadow of the grim he was in the clouds. To his surprise Y/n said she saw it too, that was one of the reason she went after him.
The news of Y/n waking up flew fast. Many people started visiting her and gave her the 'get well soon' card. After a terrible experience, all this made Y/n feel warm from inside. But it wasn't the same for Harry. For some reason, he didn't like when Y/n was talking to the people who were better than him. He felt furious but there nothing he could do about it since he's her friend.
The Next Day, Harry went back to his normal routine and Y/n was left alone in the Hospital wing. She was happy she could rest and after months she was reading the mangas that were on-hold in her list. She didn't really time to read it. So now, she was using all her free time to read them.
Every once in a while, few students she knew came to visit her and gave her gifts. Jake, Hermione, Harry and Ron came to visit her on lunch and after school. They told her all about the things that happened on the same day. Hermione informed Y/n that the teachers have decided to give Y/n rest from Homework for 2 weeks, So she could recover well.
Harry and Ron didn't like that, because the piles of homework were high like mountains. Y/n suggested that she would help them but they refused her offer and told her to rest. Hermione was happy because Y/n was looking better than when she woke up. Y/n's skin had gotten back her original colour but she looked little weak.
This went on for two more days. Y/n have gotten healthier, she insisted to Madam Pomfrey that she can go now but the lady refused. In defeat, Y/n was reading the notes Hermione wrote for her from the classes she has been missing. Most of the students were in their classrooms while some were using their free time.
After building up the courage, Bryan finally was walking to Hospital wing with his friend Desmond. He had box of Cookies in his hands which he planned to give to Y/n. He decided to talk to Y/n for at least once. He stood outside the Hospital wing with his friend by his side.
"We should go in, Don't you remember we haven't got much time?" Desmond said being annoyed since he was basically dragged here.
"I'm scared... What if she doesn't like them?" Bryan asked holding the cookie box
"She will like them.. I heard that she has been getting the 'get well soon' gifts and she's accepting those..now let's go!" Desmond said pushing his friend inside the great room.
Y/n noticed them enter. But the thing was that she didn't them ever before. They were wearing Ravenclaw robes and that was all Y/n knew about them. Both boys approached Y/n and just stood there without a word.
"Can I.... help you?" Y/n asked awkwardly
Desmond elbowed Bryan making him groan in pain. "I...we.... uh" Bryan shuttered horribly. The girl was staring at him intently waiting for the boy to say something.
"Don't be nervous.. I don't bite" Y/n said with a little smile.
"Well... I got these for you... my mom made them for you specially" Bryan said giving the box to Y/n.
"Oh!!.. well thank you" Y/n chuckled while taking the box making Bryan beam. "I'm sorry but.......Do I know you???" Y/n asked being honest.
Bryan felt something crack inside his heart. The girl he liked didn't even knew who he was. He was too stunned to speak. Desmond, on the hand, was trying his best to hold his laugh. He cleared his throat and said "I'm Desmond and he is Bryan.. we're in the same class as your brother Jake... we're friends"
"Oh!!! Okay, I didn't know that, Jake never told me... Well.. Thank you for this" Y/n smiled as Bryan who was staring at her with a undefinable face.
"So.... you accept that gift?" Desmond asked for his friend
"Yes, of course.. You two are Jake's friends which basically makes you my older brothers" Y/n smiled brightly. Desmond felt slightly honored by the fact Y/n called him her brother but then he saw his friend. Bryan heard something shatter inside his heart. He just bro-zoned. And whatever he was feeling was clearly written on his face.
Y/n saw that Desmond's shoulder was shaking. He was trying his best to control his laugh. "Did I say something wrong?" Y/n asked back and forth at the Ravenclaw boys.
"N-no... nothing... we-we'll just go... you take rest" Desmond said between his laugh while dragging Bryan along.
"That was strange" Y/n muttered keeping the box on the night stand.
That night, her friends didn't say for long because of all the homework. That night it rained again. It was very cozy since Madam Pomfrey had given Y/n a heater under her bed. The next day, Y/n slept till noon. She was drinking the hot chocolate Madam Pomfrey gave her. She didn't knew that she was going to have an unexpected visit.
Halfway through the cup, she saw someone come in. Y/n felt her heart flutter. "Uncle!!" She smiled.
Eric walked towards her and hugged his niece tightly "Oh god.. I can't believe those wreck hoods did this to you" He said while hugging
"I don't look that bad.. I'm alright now" Y/n said as Eric let her go.
"I know that.. I'm so sorry I couldn't come right away after Jake sent Suri.. I wasn't at home, so Suri had to travel further to get me... I got the letter last night, so I came right away.. I'm sorry being late" Eric apologized
"There's nothing to be sorry for.. All I know I'm the one who should be sorry... you told me careful and I didn't do that" Y/n told Eric "You want me to became the strongest Female Auror and look what I did.. I can't even follow the one thing you told me to do!!"
"What???You just proved to me that you are WAY more stronger than I thought you were.. and there are no words which could describe on how proud I'm of you... Seriously, Honey... You need to understand, if you're breaking rules to do something good... its fine to do so.." Eric patted Y/n's head
"I was damn worried when I acknowledged that you were attacked by the dementor on the train... But thanks to Madam Pomfrey and Remus, because of them You're alright now.. And you won't believe it but I know what it feels like when those wreck hoods suck your souls.." Eric said sitting on the chair next to Y/n's bed.
"How??" Y/n asked actually not believing the man.
"When I was training for Auror exams.. I had to face one.. It was terrible.. That's why I didn't bother you much about it.. because those things flashes.. But I know what you were doing.. You knew that you could be attacked by the wreck hoods yet you still went after Harry.. That takes courage... not anyone can do it" Eric explained
"But.. are you seriously fine now?" Eric asked
"well.. I have to eat a piece of chocolate every once in an hour... And drink hot chocolate after every meal....So... I'm pretty much excellent" Y/n grinned sheepishly making Eric chuckle
"You know.. Jake told me that you always have doubts on why you were put in Gryffindor when the Sorting Hat said that you can be in any of the houses...." Eric said taking Y/n's cup which was empty now.
"He.... told you?" Y/n asked embarrassedly
"He certainly did.. And You're lucky because... I have the answer" Eric replied making the girl raise her eyebrows
"Which is?" Y/n asked
"The only reason The Sorting Hat put you into Gryffindor rather than other houses is that because you're not afraid to do whatever you have on your mind.. You've been doing so since you arrived in this universe... You know very well how dangerous it is to stay along Harry and fight the bad.. but look at you.. You're just 12 and yet.. you're more braver than I am... There's alot of people who want to do something whatever is on their mind.. but very few are actually able to do it.. And I'm proud to say.. you're one of them.." Eric said proudly
"That's the reason??" Y/n said looking impressed but disappointed at the same time
"What did you think it was ?" Eric asked with a small smile
"Well... I told The Sorting Hat to put in a house where I could be friends with Harry in order to help him... The hat did the same" Y/n said making Eric chuckle
"At this point.. do you really think you being in a different house would stop Harry from being friends with you?" Eric chuckled
"Wouldn't it?" Y/n asked
"No... I talked with Harry in The Leaky Cauldron when you were with Hermione and Ginny at the before Hogwarts started this year.... I have to say.. He really respects and adores you.. I asked him what he thought about you.. he didn't stop for ten whole minutes.. He just kept complimenting you.. I thought he would've kept going on if you haven't dragged him to meet your Quidditch team captain" Eric signed
"He did??" Y/n grinned
"Yeah!!! And You know Debbie is really worried for you.. She might feel better if you visit her on Christmas holidays" Eric said
"I'm sorry Mr. Kim but I cannot allow that" Madam Pomfrey said approaching them
"Why not?" Eric asked "Wouldn't she be completely alright by then?"
"Yes, Ms. Kim would. But I cannot allow since she has been attacked there once before.. I have studied that after the incident of the Quidditch match she might get flashbacks everytime she encounters the similar situation.. And its not good for her health.. It will cause severe Mental problems.. that's why I refuse..." Madam Pomfrey explained. Y/n looked down guiltily and Eric patted her hand comforting her.
"But A change of environment might be good.. So, I recommend you to visit Hogsmeade this time.. You might even better while you go out with your friends" Madam Pomfrey smiled at the girl
"And As for you.. Mr. Kim.... If you miss your niece during that time.. you can always visit her when she's there" Madam Pomfrey said and walked away with the empty cup which rested on the nightstand beside Y/n.
"And One more thing....." The lady turned to face them "You're niece creates trouble just like you" Madam Pomfrey said making Y/n and Eric laugh.
After an hour, Eric had to leave. After the school ended, Harry, Hermione and Ron visited her. They told her all about the things that happened. Before Dinner, when Madam Pomfrey shooed them out, Harry told Y/n about the anti-dementor lesson from Lupin and asked her if she will join. She accepted the offer since the spell might be useful.
The Next day, it was more quieter around the castle. Y/n had completed reading her unfinished mangas and was drawing to spend the time. She was drawing the view she could see from the window in front of her. While humming 'Blue Bird', she didn't notice that someone entered and was standing in front of her bed.
"Um... could I have a moment?" A voice asked making Y/n jump. She looked at the person who called for her and it was someone she definitely didn't expect.
Cedric Diggory smiled little embarrassedly. He had a flower bouquet and some chocolates in his hands.
"Uh.. S-sure.." Y/n said awkwardly while closing her sketchbook.
"Um.. well... I wanted to.. give you these.." Cedric said showing her the things he carried in his hands
"Y-you?---"
"Oh!, well, the Hufflepuff Quidditch team arranged these to give you.. none of them were free, so they told me.. to give these.. here" Cedric said extending his hand to her
Y/n chuckled little and took the gifts from his hands "Well... Thank You... to all of you" She smiled politely "And I have to thank you for one more thing"
"What?" The Hufflepuff asked
"Jake told me that you're the one who caught me when I fell from my broom.... Thank you" Y/n said with a very genuine smile, making the boy's cheek turn red.
"S-sure!! Of course.. I couldn't leave you like that" Cedric replied little shyly "I mean.. no one would!!! Anyone would've help you in that situation
"But still.. You were the first one to react... I'm thankful for that... Please don't hesitate if you ever need something from me... I'll be more than happy to help" Y/n smiled once again.
For some reason, Cedric's heart was beating loudly. He couldn't help but smile back at the girl. He was well aware that he was blushing since his cheeks were burning. There was something about this young girl that made him feel that way.
"So.. you were drawing something, weren't you?" Cedric asked trying to calm himself down
"oh, yeah... Its been pretty boring so.. I just did for time pass" Y/n shrugged
"Would you mind... if I see?" Cedric asked
"No.. not at all" Y/n said and opened her sketch book showing the boy her drawing.
"WOW!!! This is.. beautiful!!" Cedric gasped admiring the drawing
"Really?? is it that good?" Y/n chuckled at the boys reaction.
"Of course!! Trust me, This might be the best the best sketches I've seen yet" Cedric said still looking at the drawing
"Well.. Thank you" Y/n smiled
While this was happening, Harry stood at the entrance of the Hospital Wing with Oranges in his bag. He knew Y/n liked those and wanted to give her the oranges and spend some time with her. But Cedric had beaten him for that just like he did in the match.
Harry felt something unpleasant in his heart. He didn't know why he was feeling this unfamiliar thing while he watched Y/n with Cedric Diggory. He didn't knew if it was Cedric he didn't like or it was because of something else.
With a sign, Harry walked away to continue the classes he wanted to skip.
