~A new bigger family~
After receiving the letter, Eric went to South Korea the very next day. All he told his kids was that their cousin and cousin's friend were going to live with them and that Eric was their guardian from now on.
It had been a whole week since he was gone. The kids knew that this cousin of their was not a close related cousin because if they were then Eric would've known about them.
The kids didn't bother thinking much about it. Both of them were happy to know that they had family other than the main family. They enjoyed their vacation without a doubt. Both of them had started to learn flying with their respective dragons. It had been going smoothly. They had a protection barrier around the mansion and the mansion garden was very big, so they had a lot of place to fly freely.
Currently Jake was flying on top of Pearl while enjoying perfect chill breeze in the summer. He patted gently on top of Pearl's head telling her she's doing a good job. "we just learned how to fly on top of them... it has only been a week..... Doing tricks right away is dangerous" Jake warned Y/n as she arrived next to him.
She was laying on her stomach on Toothless, not caring about the height. When she heard this she sprint up immediately and sat with her legs folded cross. "what tricks??? this is basic in a way.. " Y/n said as her hair flew making her look even prettier. "besides... me and Toothless are fast learners, aren't we?" she asked her dragon who made an agreeing sound.
Pearl and Jake signed together. "I can't convince you now, can I?" Jake asked with small chuckle. "Nope.... you can't" Y/n grinned and asked "I think you two are doing well... how about a race?". Jake raised his eyebrows "A race?.. just where will we hold it?".
"What do you mean 'where?'.... right here.... we have protection barrier all around the mansion... no one will catch us.. so we can race right here.. " Y/n explained. "How will we decide the track??? Its all circle.. we'll just end up coming here and won't even know if we did won or not?" Jake argued. He wasn't sure about the race but deep down he wanted to do it.
Y/n thought for a second and a idea popped up in her mind. She slightly bent to look down and yelled "REN!!!! Come up here!!".
Without wasting a second, her small creature flew up towards her. Toothless made a grumbling noise as he saw the Ren was coming up. Y/n decided to not say anything but patted the dragon gently. Ren came up and made a purring noise asking what does Y/n want. "Jake and I are going to race... we need someone to be the referee.... stay here and that's how we'll know if we completed a lap..." Y/n said and turned to Jake "How about now?"
"first one to complete two laps wins" Jake said extending his hand for a handshake. Y/n gladly accepted and both of them got ready for the race. Ren was making noise as if he was telling them something. Jake confusedly turned to Y/n "translation?". "Ren said he shoot that sparkling dust to tell as that the race started" Y/n translated. "oh that Pink dust?? okay?" Jake nodded his head.
Both of them were counting in their minds and when Ren sneezed out the pink dust they flew past him in a flash making him stumble while flying. Jake and Y/n were right next to eachother thanks to Pearl and Toothless who were as competitive as their humans. The first lap completed very fast , even Ren was shocked by the dragon's speed.
During the halfway of the second lap, Jake and Pearl were taking over the speed flying way more fast than Y/n and Toothless. But the girl wasn't bothered. She smirked and pressed a certain spot behind Toothless' ears which made his spikes on his spines jolt up. With a blink of an eye, Toothless' speed increased. They flew so fast that Jake and Pearl couldn't even see them.
And As it was given, Y/n and Toothless won. Jake didn't knew what Y/n did to make Toothless go this fast. Pearl knew and she wanted to try it but she couldn't because Jake wanted to go step by step. Y/n had spent hours to look around Toothless' body finding his soft spots or find out what certain part does and it gave her knowledge to find more about Toothless. Their personal Library was helping her way more she expected.
Y/n laughed as she won and directed Toothless to go down so he could drink water. Ren followed her behind with Jake and Pearl. As they landed, Toothless went to drink water without giving a chance to Y/n to jump off him. Jake came beside and slided off Pearl letting her drink water. "how did you do that?" Jake asked.
"I'm not gonna tell you... you want to go step by step, do so.... I found my own way to learn... you know I rather work smart than working hard" Y/n smirked and flinched when someone clapped excitedly.
Y/n and Jake turned to place from where the sound came from. They looked at the door of the living room which directed to the garden. There was a boy with orange hair staring excitedly at them.
Y/n slided off Toothless and walked a little closer to the boy with Jake. She saw that the boy was Asian and He was taller than her but was shorter than Jake and that he definitely had dyed his hair, but it looked natural. 'must be magical stuff he used' Y/n thought.
The boy had a mole under his left eye and his eye colour was very unusual but it was obvious that the boy was handsome..... more of pretty. He was waiting excitedly as the siblings approached. Just when they were about to ask who he was, they were being crushed in a hug by the same boy.
"I knew you two were cool but I didn't knew my cousins are going to this cool!!!!" The boy yelled happily. Jake and Y/n looked at each other while being crushed. This boy is their cousin. Before they could react a hand sneaked forward and grabbed the boy from his back collar while saying. "Come on now.. its first time meeting them, don't scare them away!" The other boy scolded.
Y/n looked at the other boy. He was Asian as well but he was taller than her cousin, about same height as Jake. He was with no doubt, handsome. "I know that but I'm happy to see them" Their cousin pouted.
Jake and Y/n stared at this pair with confusion. They were speaking English but in a very different way. Jake genuinely didn't know the way they were speaking English but Y/n did. She asked "Why do you two have American Accent?"
Well, staying in Hogwarts and in Britain made them unconsciously pick up the the British accent. Y/n spoke English in her normal accent during her first year but now she had unknowingly adapted the accent she heard most of the time.
"Oh!!" The smaller boy, their cousin yelped "Its because of the school we go to.. we picked it up before we realized it". Jake and Y/n looked at each other, both thinking the same thing, they turned to the boys and asked excitedly "You go to Ilvermorny??!!"
"yes!!" Their cousin said with a bright smile. "Which house?" Y/n asked. "Both of us are Horned serpent" The taller boy said and Y/n nodded her head. Y/n extended her hand and introduced herself with a smile "Y/n... Kim Y/n"
Her cousin accepted her handshake and introduced himself "Bae Natsu". " 'Natsu'??? Aren't you from South Korea?. You have a Japanese Name.. A beautiful word, honestly" Y/n said and halfway she realized that it was a weird question so ended up being awkward. Natsu wasn't bothered "That's because my mother was a calligrapher... she knew a little Japanese and she liked this word alot so she named me that". Y/n smiled thinking that the boy was definitely a Sunshine.
The taller guy was quiet until now and then he suddenly decided to introduced himself as well "Lee Yohan". Y/n smiled warmly at him and Jake introduced himself as well. "You two didn't have to introduced yourselves... we already know all about you two" Natsu said as they walked inside.
"Really??? are we that popular?" Y/n said it as a joke. "you have no idea... you two have a fan club in our school" Natsu said making Y/n freeze in her spot. Natsu smirked "I am allowed to joke as well". Y/n signed in relief when she heard that. "but I didn't lie about your popularity... there are people who talk about you on daily purpose" Natsu tod her and Y/n stared at him with annoyed look which made him laugh a little.
As the four kids reached the living room, they saw someone lying lifelessly on the couch. Y/n yelped "who the hell is that?". "Its your Uncle" Natsu told her. "What happened to you?" Jake asked chuckling. Eric groaned as he sat up and said "let me make you take a 13 hour flight and ask you the same question"
"So.. just a jet lag??? no worries, you'll be fine before you know it" Y/n shrugged. Dabon suddenly walked towards them and said "Master.. The rooms are prepared". Eric nodded tiredly and said "Natsu, Yohan... you two go to your rooms and rest a little... Dabon take them to their rooms.". "yes master" Dabon nodded and took the boys with him.
There was something Y/n noticed. Ever since, Yohan grabbed Natsu away from them, he never once let go of him. He still had his hand behind Natsu as they walked up the stairs. And Natsu seemed to have no problem with it. Y/n sensed something about this but decided to think about it later. "So, Uncle... are you going to tell us about them or not?" Jake asked and Eric signed "Of course, I'm telling you. Why else would I send them away?.... their story.... its quite...... tragic"
"Like ours?" Jake and Y/n instantly asked together. Both of them have gone through tragic. Eric couldn't even argue to tell them that they're wrong because even he knew that what the kids have gone through is sad.
Jake lost his parents at the age of two and grew up alone. Most of the time, he used to be alone at home as well since Eric would go out on work. He didn't have much friends as he grew up and only made friends in his first year of Hogwarts. His friends were playful twins who noticed Jake was alone at school and became friends with him. Because of the past Incident, Jake was only future heir of the family and because avoided him for some reason but Julyn and Weasley twins became friends with him. And his loneliness made him accepted Y/n, a complete stranger as his sister without any questions.
Y/n had a rough time as well. She couldn't remember the face of her own parents until she saw them on Mirror of Erised during her first year. She doesn't know anything about the people who gave birth to her. She had lived an introvert life and was only friends with Wendy until the end of Middle school. and the fact that she had transferred here at this universe without any consent was a trauma in a way no matter how much she hides it. She was forced to live a rich life to hide her true identity. She has to lie to her best friends and the people she loves all the time. She has no idea if she would success in a mission she agreed to take in the spur of the moment.
Eric signed thinking how did he end having these kids with trauma around him. He decided to ignore the question and begun. "So.. Irene's Grandfather had two son. One of them was Irene's father and her father's older brother. That Older brother had a son as well and he was Irene first cousin. Natsu is the son of that first cousin."
Jake and Y/n stared at him with confusion all over their face. "so.... He's our second cousin???" Y/n asked and Eric nodded and Y/n continued "you could've just told us that... we would have understand easily.". "hey! forgive me for having jet lag, I've never travelled this far by Muggle transportation... My brain is not working properly." Eric said annoyedly while Y/n smiled at him.
"But... why is Natsu staying with us from now on?? and Why Yohan too?" Jake asked. And Eric begun telling them what actually happened.
When Irene was accepted into Hogwarts, the muggle family was sure happy. But it was given that no one else would get into Wizarding world. So Irene's first cousin moved away from the main house of Bae family with his wife and Natsu due to work. The place they moved to was also owned by the Bae family. Two families were supposed to live their and the houses were divided by the small garden in between. Since it was huge place The couple decided to give the second house in rent.
Yohan's family came there. Since Yohan and Natsu were of same age they got along and became friends. But when the boy was six, Natsu's parents got into a accident when the bridge they were driving on fell. He became orphan so Natsu's grandmother came to stay with him. Natsu became quiet because of his lost but Yohan helped him alot during that time and soon the Cheerful Natsu came back.
But, Things got even worse when Yohan's parents also got into a accident with a truck. They got into coma for three months until they passed away. Yohan's relatives had many arguments on who should take care of him, none of them really wanted the responsibility and Yohan was aware of it. But His Grandparents to take care of him instead.
But Yohan didn't want to go with them. He wanted to stay with Natsu. But his grandparents took him away by force only to find him run back to Natsu every single day. Natsu's grandma decided to take Yohan in as well. And three of them have been leaving together since.
But then, Natsu and Yohan, both were muggles but they still got accepted into Ilvermorny which went to. Both of them got into same house, Horned Serpent and were more close now. Both of them want to become An Auror and Somehow, Eric was their role model. They even sent him letters, requesting him to mentor them as soon as they graduate. Eric had previously ignore those letters because he only wanted to become Jake and Y/n's mentor. But now he had no choice.
And the reason they were going to leave with them was Natsu's grandma had passed away and the letter Eric received a week ago was from her. She entrusted Natsu and Yohan to Eric and peacefully rested away. Natsu was sad for many days but his Grandma told him to not be sad because of her and live his life happily.
At first Natsu couldn't believe that his aunt was married into 'The Kim family' and that he had cousins. But What shocked him even more was that Eric, the god in his eyes, was now his legal guardian. He was excited to come here ever since. And Since he wanted to come, Yohan didn't disagree once and followed along.
"I don't know what to say" Y/n said after Eric completed. "Well.... it sad... I-I feel sad for them" Eric said with a shrug. "I don't know what to say" Y/n repeated. "Well then, don't say anything... those kids been through alot like you two.. so .. try to.. you know... be happy together.
Later that evening, When Y/n was cooking, Natsu joined her to help. Eric was still resting while complaining that he's never going into a plane again. Jake and Yohan also came into the kitchen although they didn't help a bit. They found out that Natsu and Yohan were a year older than Jake making Y/n the youngest.
Dinner was light. Even though they were only two more people but the place looked more cheerful than ever. After dinner, everyone was now in the living room watching TV. Natsu and Yohan sat next to each other and according to Y/n. It wasn't a way in which 'friends' sit in. But Both of the boys were comfortable with each other.
Natsu was taking away the tea cups to the kitchen and Y/n decided to ask away her doubts. her instincts were telling her that she 80% right. she followed Natsu and helped him wash the cups and teapots. "Uh.. Natsu.... can I ask you something??" Y/n asked while wiping the cups Natsu was passing to her. "Sure!"
"It can make you a little uncomfortable" Y/n said with a doubt not knowing if she should ask or not. "Well... you said already so it only make sense if you do ask" Natsu said with a small smile. "Do you like Yohan?" Y/n asked straight away making the cup Natsu was washing slip from his grip. Y/n immediately catched it. "well... from this reaction and your current red face... I assume yes"
"H-how did you know?" Natsu asked blushing. "To be honest... I don't know... It was just something that made me think that.. maybe girl instincts?" Y/n shrugged. "Its true.... I d-do like him... but I don't think he likes me back" Natsu signed.
'Are you kidding me?' Y/n thought watching the boy's obliviousness. But she knew it would be very rude to point it out so instead she asked "Why do you think that?". "Can we go to different place??? Yohan might come here if he notices we're gone for too long" Natsu said nervously. Y/n grabbed his back collar and dragged him while saying "come with me"
As they entered the living, the people were shocked to see Natsu being dragged by his young sister. "What are you doing?" Yohan asked. "having a brother-sister moment... and I would love if none of you disturbed it" Y/n said while dragging the older boy.
She dragged all the way to her bedroom and they sat near the window while Natsu told her everything. He told her that he liked Yohan ever since he was young. He liked being with him. But He told her that he thinks that the reason Yohan stays with him is because of the debts he has towards the Bae family. He thinks that the reason Yohan treats him well is only because of repayment.
"And... because I like him like... alot.... I can't help but be selfish.... I think If I ever tell him.. He'll ignore me and go away" Natsu told her. Y/n kind of understood him. The way Yohan had treated him in front of her was very caring. But it could be because the boy thinks he has debt he needs to pay back to Natsu. "I've....... never told anyone.... except you..... So, could you.. not tell anyone?"
"I would never" Y/n replied instantly. she knew that she made this sunshine sad and that the sunshine protector would most likely kill her because of that so she decided to cheer him up. She shared stories of her school and also cleared the weird rumors Natsu had heard.
Later in the night. Y/n woke up because she felt thirsty. She sat up and grabbed the bottle on her night stand to find it empty. Debbie had told her to fill it up but she didn't do it. Now, Y/n has to go down all the way to kitchen to drink water. Y/n stayed on her bed deciding whether she should go or not. And soon slumped back into the bed to sleep anyway.
But unfortunately, She couldn't sleep. She groaned as she jumped off the bed and went to the kitchen. To her surprise, Jake was also there for the very same reason. he passed her water while drinking himself.
Both stood next to each other. Both knew something. and both had promised not to tell anyone. But the thing was, they could never hide things from each other. They awkwardly stayed together. Debating in their minds whether they should tell the other one or not. But failed at the same time.
"Jake... I found something" Y/n said. "I.. found something too" Jake replied.
"You go first" Y/n instantly said. "you're the one who brought up the topic, you go first" Jake replied
"You should go first, you're older"
"That's why I'm ordering you to tell me first"
"I won't tell you!"
"then I won't tell you as well!"
Y/n and Jake unintentionally argued. They were dying to tell each other, so decided to say it anyway.
"Natsu likes Yohan"
"Yohan likes Natsu"
"WHAT??!!!" The both siblings stared at each other with surprise.
"wait--Yohan like Natsu back?" Y/n asked
"are you sure?? Natsu likes him back?" Jake asked as well
"of course he does!!" The siblings said together
"But Natsu doesn't know that Yohan likes him" Y/n told him
"Same with Yohan.. he doesn't know his crush likes him as well" Jake replied
"Wait--- how do you know?" Y/n asked
"How do you know?" Jake asked back
"I guessed and Natsu confirmed it telling me everything... what about you?" Y/n asked
"Natsu told you???" Jake asked with a gasp "that's not fair!! I was threatened by Yohan... he told me not to get 'too close'Â to Natsu because he likes him and he won't think twice before breaking my bones!"
"Aren't you Natsu's brother though?" Y/n laughed. "I know!! but Yohan still had his doubts. So I told he has nothing to worry about.. and then he was thinking of threatening you as well" Jake said. "What? Why? What did I do?"
"You've been very close to Natsun ever since he arrived... Yohan's probably jealous.... So I told him that he doesn't have to be because you already have Harry" Jake told her. "Oh, thank you for that---- WAIT WHAT????!!!" Y/n said while feeling shivers "what do you mean 'I have Harry'??!!"
"What are you panicking for?? I lied to him to save you!" Jake huffed and mumbled the next part "not like I wanted to ship you with Harry"
Y/n didn't hear him because she was thinking. She asked "did he tell you how long he has been having feelings for Natsu?". Jake replied "Yeah... every since they were kids"
Y/n chuckled lightly making Jake confused "what?" he asked. and Y/n replied "Both of them liked each other since the very beginning and both of them think the other one doesn't like them back... ironic, isn't it?"
"What do we do now?" Jake asked. "For now.... nothing.... because I wasn't supposed to tell anyone... Natsu made me promise" Y/n replied. "Oh! Yohan made me promise that as well!" Jake said with a smile. "we should not tell them for now... maybe it would be better if they tell each other instead" Jake said agreeing.
"So, the secret I have with Natsu and the secret you have with Yohan is a secret between us, okay?" Y/n asked and Jake nodded. "deal?" she asked extending her hand which Jake took while saying "deal"
"Just what are you two dealing about at 2:00 in the morning?" They heard someone ask. They turned to find Eric leaning against the door frame. he stared at them with suspension. Y/n was trying to think of an excuse while actually saying it "Uh.... Jake and I sneaked here to eat ice cream.... separately..... but we found each other here.... so... we made a deal not to tell you"
Eric stared at her. Y/n gulped a little, she just lied to one of the best Auror of the generation. Eric signed "Its your own house... there's no need to sneak for ice cream. Just take it and go..." Eric said pouring himself a glass of water. Jake and Y/n both thought together 'He bought it?'
"But... this is not a time to eat ice cream... so go back to your room" Eric said to them and the kids instantly ran away. Both kids didn't know if Eric had heard them or not. The way he just made it seem like he didn't. So the kids slept the night without worry.
None of them knew, That Eric had actually heard them all along. But he wanted to know what these kids would do. And he was proud of the decision his kids made.
