Tassels And Dance

How did An Xue become a judge of this audition?

This audition was organized by a local top-tier fashion brand, Shuojin. The brand focused on oriental Chinese style by making use of silk for its products. The brand garnered a lot of attention locally during its semi-annual product launch-cum-exhibition, which is held during spring and autumn every year.

An Xue always had eyes on foreign fashion brands, since when did she start participating in a local brand’s fashion show!

An Xiaowan looked around.

She was even more surprised when she saw many more prominent faces of the modeling industry around her.

“Xiaowan?”

An Xiaowan turned back and saw her university classmate, Ning Ya, who she also saw during the Nuolan Show.

Ning Ya walked over, looking very dejected. “Today’s audition is going to be so difficult. I heard it’s because an internationally famous male model, Gong Li, has been invited by Shuojin!”

“Gong Li? You mean the male model who rarely appears and always wears a mask?”

“Yes!”

An Xiaowan was also surprised.

By the time An Xiaowan was called in for the audition, three hours had already passed.

Those famous models had finished their audition long ago. The four judges were starting to lose their interest by now.

An Xue looked at An Xiaowan and smiled. “No. 162, wear this instead.”

It was a special set of a creatively designed outfit, the costume was made using silk and tassels and had a salacious design. There was also a pair of matching high platform shoes, decorated with tassels to match the outfit style.

When An Xiaowan came out after changing, the other models had already changed.

“No. 162, get on the stage.” The assistant ordered.

An Xue interrupted abruptly. “Isn’t this dress a matching set with Gong Li’s costume?”

Gong Li?

An Xiaowan subconsciously turned to look in the direction where An Xue was looking.

She could only see a tall figure standing in the room’s corner, leaning against the wall, hiding within the darkness.

He was wearing a baseball cap with a low brim that covered half of his face.

However, his perfect body shape and aura were impressive enough for everyone to turn and look at him repeatedly.

“Gong Li, would you be interested in walking with her?” An Xue’s tone was gentle. “Or perhaps you can even dance with her.”

Gong Li was about to reject An Xue, but the female designer suddenly said, “Good idea, I would also like to see it.”

“Yes, yes.”

Gong Li’s brows formed a frown, hidden under his cap’s bill. He shot a cold glance at An Xiaowan and walked out slowly.

“Samba?”

An Xiaowan raised her brows. “No problem.”

Even though they were about to dance, Gong Li had no intention of removing his cap. An Xiaowan did not mind and went on the stage with him.

An Xiaowan’s costume was perfect for Samba!

The music started playing.

Gong Li coldly stretched his hand out to hold An Xiaowan. But the moment he matched his step with the rhythm, the aura around him changed immediately.

An Xiaowan also did the same.

Her eyes were dreamy, and her face had a passionate smile. The dazzling silk tassels moved lightly, following her actions. When she spun around, the tassels quickly flew apart and formed a magnificent scene.

However, when the beautiful pair reached the climax of the dance, the silk on An Xiaowan’s shoes unexpectedly tore!

If this had happened while walking down the runway, An Xiaowan would have been able to maintain her balance. But at this moment, since she was dancing, it was very different.

She was stunned. With no support under her left leg, her center of gravity shifted, and her already spinning body lost its balance within a split-second!

An Xue, who was sitting at the bottom of the stage, revealed a self-satisfying smile.

One could easily fracture or cause serious damage to their ankle if they fall and twist an ankle while dancing wearing a pair of 10cm tall heels.

Gong Li was also dumbfounded. He reached out his hands subconsciously and grabbed onto An Xiaowan’s arms.

With a strong tug, he pulled An Xiaowan into his arms within seconds, saving her from falling backward.

In the next moment, both of them fell onto the ground.
