Who Is An Xiaowanâs Backer?
âShe is definitely aiming for the magazine cover,â Susan whispered.
If the Internet celebrities wished to get rid of their status as an Internet celebrity for the future and to become famous within the entertainment industry, they would need to produce a masterpiece.
For example, being on a magazine cover or acting as the main lead of a drama could be a perfect opportunity for such work.
Wen Biyuâs face darkened the moment she saw An Xiaowan.
Wen Biyu wanted to avoid An Xiaowan, but she could not control her anger. She rushed towards An Xiaowan, and scolded, âAn Xiaowan, you are an infamous and low-class model, how can you come here?!â

The magazine âThe Fashion Fairyâ had a monthly issue, and each edition featured different styles. For every issue, they would find at least three models for the photo shoot and pick the most suitable photo for the magazine cover after the shoot.
After a round of preparation, all four models came out.
A woman, who seemed to be 35 or 36 years old, came and coldly nodded her head at them, signaling the start of the photo shoot.
There were four models in total. Other than Wen Biyu and An Xiaowan, the two others were locally famous models, Mei Yue and Gu Yinsheng, the latter being an actress who had recently gained fame. Compared to them, An Xiaowanâs status of a nameless and low-class model made her look like a sore thumb sticking out.
However, in terms of appearance, An Xiaowan was in the lead.
Mei Yue and Gu Yingsheng looked at each other and deliberately started shunning An Xiaowan.
For the first round of shooting, all four models were to pose together for a shot.
However, because of deliberate obstruction by Gu Yingsheng and Mei Yue, An Xiaowanâs face could not appear on the camera a few times.
The Chief Editor was furious with the bad shots, and coldly said, âHey, just stop if you canât even find an angle to pose for the camera. If thereâs another NG because of you, you will have to go out.â

Unwilling to back down Wen Biyu straightened her back and then answered back with her face still blushing. âAn Xue recommended me for this photo shoot!â
Wen Biyu often made use of An Xueâs status as a top-model to climb in ranks among fans on Weibo. The two were just like the famous âplastic sistersâ, but this method of promotion as a bundle was indeed effective.
An Xiaowan paid no attention to Wen Biyuâs awkward show-off. She put forward her suggestion. âChief Editor, I think we should change the standing arrangement. The effect would be better if Wen Biyu and Gu Yingsheng sat at the front. Otherwise, the height differences would be exposed.â
The Chief Editor thought for a moment and nodded in agreement.
The theme of this edition was the mechanical world. Using a postmodern concept, the aim was to showcase an offbeat but unique harmony and beauty being created because of the clashes between the soft clothing and the machines.
Hence, two square blocks were carried over, Gu Yingsheng and Wen Biyu sat at the front and elegantly displayed their legs in a pose.
And An Xiaowan and Mei Yue stood at the back, without any further blockage from anyone.
After a few rounds of shooting, the Chief Editor looked through the photos, staring at An Xiaowan in it. His eyes flashed with undisguised praises for her.
Whether it was about portraying well in front of the camera, good control over the details of facial expressions, or being in harmony with the theme and the other models, An Xiaowan was the best among the four models!
However, Wen Biyu already paid a huge sum of money, and together with the halo of An Xueâs good sister, she had already âbookedâ the magazine cover shoot for herself even before the shoot started.
