Welcome To The Ghostly Group2,103 words~11 min read

Just as Vigo was about to possess baby Oscar's body, the Statue of Liberty's hand with the torch in it came smashing through the top of the art museum. The Ghostbusters had belts on their waists, and attached to them was a bungee cord to go down into the museum building to save Dana and Oscar.

"Happy New Year!" Peter said to Janosz.

"It's Vigo! You are like the buzzing of flies to him!" He complained.

"Ray and Silvia, will you hose this guy please?" Peter asked the two of them. They pulled out the slime blowers and hosed him down with the pink ooze. After they were done, Dana ran to Peter and kissed him.

"Is he dead?" Dana asked, referring to Janosz.

"No, this slime is positively charged. He'll wake up feeling like a million bucks." Ray answered Dana. As the five stood around waiting for this melon-headed Vigo to show up, the wind picked up a little. Then a hose wrapped itself around Dana to keep her from moving, and Ray and Winston ran over to help her.

"Get a knife or something, we gotta cut her out of this!" Ray shouted. Meanwhile, Peter hid Oscar behind some large boxes so he was safe.

As Ray was helping Dana, he then saw Vigo appear right before his eyes. The others saw this too, but Vigo appeared to be a little glitchy.

"Uh-oh," Egon said.

"Hold it right there, Deadhead!" Ray shouted at Vigo, pointing the slime blower at him. Vigo turned and looked at Ray menacingly. "You want a baby? Go ahead and knock up some willing hellhound! Otherwise, I'm giving you three to get back in that painting where you belong!"

Vigo started to walk towards them, his frown turning into a smug grin. Then Ray and Egon shot their particle thrower beams at Vigo, it then backfired as they all fell back and lay on the floor paralyzed.

"That was really stupid." Winston groaned.

"Ray, can you move?" Egon asked.

"No, are you okay?" Ray said.

"No. Silvia, how are you?"

"I'm fine, just peachy," Silvia answered sarcastically.

Meanwhile, Vigo walked up to the boxes where Oscar was hiding behind. Then he moved them with... the force or something and revealed little Oscar in his Winnie the Pooh onesie.

"Please, do something!" Dana called out to them, the five still paralyzed on the floor. As Vigo picked up little Oscar and started walking past the Ghostbusters, Peter stopped him.

"Not so fast, Vigo!" Peter shouted at him. Vigo stopped in his tracks and gave Peter a look. "Hey, Vigo. Yeah, you! The bimbo with the baby. Didn't anybody tell you the big shoulder look is out?

You know, I have met some dumb blondes in my life, but you take the taco pal. Only a Carpathian would come back to life now and choose New York. Tasty pick, bonehead!"

"If you had brain one in that huge melon on top of your neck, you would be living the sweet life out in Southern California's beautiful San Fernando valley." Silvia chimed in. This only hurt them before, because Vigo decided to paralyze them again.

"Now we become one.." Vigo said, then Oscar started crying. Then Vigo stopped and looked up at the hole in the ceiling, hearing the crowd outside. Vigo threw his head back, snarling and growling.

"Where's that singing coming from?" Ray asked.

"People outside," Winston replied.

"He's weakening! The singing is neutralizing the slime!" Egon said.

"I can move!" Silvia said as she immediately stood up, no longer paralyzed. Vigo started fading away, then little Oscar almost fell but Peter caught him. Dana immediately took Oscar back and gave him a big hug.

Vigo reappeared in the painting, his face then becoming almost demonic-like. His forehead became even higher than before with devilish red eyes. Ray made the mistake of looking into his eyes, then going into a trance and moving in front of the painting.

"Ray, we'd like to shoot the monster. Could you move please?" Egon asked him, but Ray just stood there not listening to him.

"Ray!" Winston shouted to him, then Vigo possessed Ray's body.

"Now!" Peter shouted, the four that weren't possessed started shooting their particle thrower beams at Vigo/Ray, Winston spraying him with the slime blower.

Vigo went back into the painting, leaving Ray a slime-covered mess on the floor. They all shot at Vigo until he exploded or something inside the painting, which made the slime wall around the museum disappear.

Winston, Silvia, and Egon helped Ray up from the ground.

"How do you feel?" Winston asked him.

"Groovy," Ray replied, then pausing to catch his breath. "I...love you guys. I love all of you guys."

"Great, Ray," Egon said as he patted his shoulder.

"We love you too, Ray." Silvia chuckled.

"And I love Venkman, wow! Real friendship!" Ray ranted.

"We gotta live with this?" Winston asked, Silvia just shrugged her shoulders. Ray and Egon then helped Janosz up from the ground, he was covered in the slime from head to toe.

"Why am I drippings with goo?" He asked.

"You had a violent prolonged transformative psychic episode," Egon said.

"Sorry we had to hose you there, but you were kind of out of control," Ray said.

"Hey fellas. Wanna take a look at this?" Winston called them over.

"Wow!" Ray exclaimed.

"Early renaissance, I think," Egon said. "Raphael, or Piero Della Francesca?"

"No, I believe it's one of the Fettuccini's," Peter said.

The painting was of all five of the Ghostbusters painted in Renaissance- era clothing. "Wow, this is amazing!" Silvia exclaimed.

"Why did they make us so..." Egon said, trying to look for the right word.

"Buff? I'm not sure, but you look great." Silvia said, kissing Egons cheek before they all left the museum and went back outside. The crowd cheered as they exited, and little Oscar waved his tiny hand to everyone.

the next day

The mayor had called them saying he wanted to present the Ghostbusters with the key to the city. They were all surprised and overjoyed at the same time, Silvia and Janine celebrated with a girl's night while the guys sat around and did God knows what.

"So, what do you plan on doing later?" Peter winked at Egon.

"Well, I'm planning on proposing to Silvia at the Key of the City event," Egon said in a flat tone. Ray, who was trying to drink some beer, almost spat it out onto the table everywhere.

"What?! Why haven't you told us sooner??" Ray asked.

"You guys never asked me, I also wanted to keep it a surprise," Egon replied, sipping on his tea.

"What do you have in mind? Anything special? I can give you some pointers on how to propose without being nervous." Winston said.

"I have something in mind, don't worry," Egon smirked.

A few hours later, Janine and Silvia returned from the mall. Silvia had her nails painted silver with a shimmery effect, and Janine had a bright turquoise.

"Hey, girls. How was your shopping trip?" Peter asked them.

"It was good! I got some new pants and blouses, Janine got more hair berets and earrings." Silvia said, then walked over to Egon who was snacking on Cheez-It's as he watched TV on the couch. She kissed his cheek, "Hi sweetie."

"You're back!" Egon said, getting up to hug her.

"How's Wheel of Fortune?" Silvia asked.

"Boring as usual. I figure out most of these puzzles before the actual contestants do." Egon retorted.

"Ah, the usual. Darn, that Wheel of Fortune." Silvia smiled sarcastically, kissing him on the lips before taking her bags to the sleeping quarters, and placing them on her bed. As she left, everyone turned and looked at Egon.

"What does the ring look like??" Janine asked frantically. Egon pulled a small, blue suede box from his pocket. He opened it, revealing a ring with a medium-sized diamond in it. The diamond wasn't too big or too small, it was a decent size that Egon knew she would like. Well, at least he hoped she would like it.

"She'll love it!" Janine said excitedly. "I can't wait to see her reaction."

"I'm nervous as hell though. I have a whole speech prepared, what if I forget to read something or I stutter?" Egon asked.

"Hold on, you have a speech??" Winston asked. Egon handed him a notecard filled from front to back with legible but slightly sloppy handwriting. Winston skimmed through it, shaking his head and sighing.

"Dude, it's a miracle to me that you even got a girlfriend in the first place," Winston said, handing him his card back.

"Why do you think so?" Egon asked, not picking up on what Winston was saying.

"Never mind, Egon. I'm sure you'll do great." Winston said, patting his back before leaving the room.

"We all promise not to make fun of you if you mess up, wink wink," Peter said.

"Venkman...shut up," Egon said before leaving to go see Silvia. "Hey, is there any chance we can get rid of the guys for the rest of my life because they are testing my patience-"

Before Egon finished his sentence, he saw that Silvia was fast asleep on her bed. Egon kept quiet, then went over to her bed and brought the covers over her. He planted a kiss on her forehead before shutting the door and leaving her to nap.

later that day (being gifted the Key of the city event)

After the mayor gave a speech on how the Ghostbusters saved them all many times and how all of New York was eternally grateful, he handed the Ghostbusters a giant key. The crowd clapped and cheered for them; the mayor walked away from a microphone on a stand.

"You ready?" The mayor knowingly nudged Egons arm. Yes, the mayor knows too. Peter didn't know how to shut up for two seconds.

"As I'll ever be," Egon said, then going up to the microphone.

"What are you doing, sweetie? I thought you hated public speaking." Silvia said.

"I'll be done in a second." Egon smiled at her. He pulled out his notecard, preparing himself to read this aloud. "You know what, screw prepared speeches."

"Hey, New York. I'd like to say something special about Silvia right here." Egon said, pointing to her.

"Egon, are you drunk?" Silvia asked.

"No. Anyways, I met this woman back in 1984 when we first started our business, we hired her and at first, I thought of her as nothing more than a co-worker, maybe a friend. But as time went on and this business became successful, I noticed my feelings towards her changed. Might sound weird, but after blowing the top three stories off of Manhattan High Rise, I realized how much I was in love with her. We have been dating ever since that incident, and now I would like to ask her something special." Egon explained. He dug through his pocket and pulled out the small blue box. He got down on one knee in front of Silvia (his knees popped for sure) and opened the box to reveal the ring to her. "Silvia Anne Scoleri, will you do me the honor of being with me for the rest of my life?"

Silvia stood there, her hands cupped over her mouth from shock. She couldn't speak, all she could do was nod her head up and down repeatedly. "Y-Yes!" She finally stuttered out, a few tears slipping from her eyes.

Egon stood up and the two embraced in a warm hug before Silvia held his face in her hands, greeting his lips with a soft kiss.

The crowd watching behind them cheered and whistled for them.

"Anne? Your middle name is Anne??" Peter asked.

"Yes..." Silvia responded.

"Anyways, we get it you two love each other from the Milky Way and back, now let's go have fun." Peter responded. All Silvia could do was shake her head and laugh.

"I still have no clue how Egon, the most sheltered person ever, got a girlfriend, and now a fiancée," Ray said, then hugged them both.

"Winston, are you crying??" Silvia asked him.

"No, I just have something in my eye.." Winston lied, wiping his eyes.

"Yeah, sure Winston," Egon said. After that, the papers and news filled with, as they called it, 'A Ghostbusters proposal'. And Silvia was fine with that because her soon-to-be husband is a Ghostbuster. So is she, and there's nothing she would've changed in her life to get her to these special moments.
