Aggresive Wife Chapter 114
Thomasâ eyes lit up upon seeing Noah. He got up from the sofa and sprinted towards Noah. âDaddy,
youâre awake! Does your head still hurt?â Thomas uttered. âDonât worry, Colt. My head doesnât hurt
anymore. What are you two doing here anyway?â Noah asked.
Noah glanced over at the burnt pancakes in the pan. He then looked at Dylan, who had a guilty smile
on his face. He instantly pieced the puzzle together. âDidnât I tell you not to touch anything in the
kitchen? You are unworthy of doing so,â Noah said.
âHehe. Noah, it was an accident. Iâll become a master chef one day!â Dylan uttered. âFine. You better
start practicing. After all, men who canât cook will never get married,â Noah replied. âWho told you that?
Itâs nonsense. You canât cook either yet you dare mock me!â Dylan said.
âColt, are you hungry? You want pancakes, right?â Noah asked. âThatâs right. Daddy, Iâm starving right
now,â Colt replied as he nodded. âIâll make some for you, alright?â Noah said. âHooray!â Thomas
exclaimed as he clapped his hands.
âYouâre going to make pancakes? Noah, I think youâre better off ordering a food delivery. Donât starve
the poor kid just to flaunt in front of me,â Dylan said as he waved his hands. He did not believe that
Noah can cook.
Noah did not bother responding to Dylan. He walked to the kitchen and threw the pan with the burnt
pancakes into the trash bin. He grabbed a new pan from the kitchen cabinets and prepared the
ingredients. The aroma of pancakes swiftly filled the air in an instant.
Dylanâs mouth was wide open. He could not believe his eyes. No one would believe him if he ever said
that The Demon King of Imperia could make pancakes. He approached Noah as he could not resist the
fragrance.
Dylan was surprised to see that the pancakes Noah made were not just fragrant, the appearance of it
was invigorating as well. Thomas began eating immediately without a word. âNoah, when did you learn
to cook? I never knew about this,â Dylan said.
Dylan chatted with Noah as he waited for the next pancake to be served. If fighting over food with a
child was not a crime, he would have asked Noah to let him have the first bite. âI learned it when I was
bored. Do you believe me now?â Noah said.
âBelieve you in what?â Dylan asked. âBelieved that men who canât cook will never get married,â Noah
answered. âBold of you to say that! Youâre not married as well,â Dylan uttered. âThatâs not true.
Madeline and I have never been divorced. Therefore, she is still my wife,â Noah replied as he placed
the freshly made pancake on a celadon plate.
Thomas, who was eating his pancake, paused as he heard Noahâs words. Madeline had never
mentioned to him that they were not divorced. Thomas felt it was not bad to have a father who can
cook. Therefore, he pretended to have not heard anything and continued digging in his pancake.
Ever since Noah showed up and rescued Thomas and Madeline, he started to change his impression
of Noah. Apart from the fact that Noah was handsome, he was wealthy as well. Thomas felt that Noah
was a superhero when he came to their rescue. If Madeline decided to stay with Noah, he would not
object to it.
âWhatever. Guess Iâm no match for you. However, Iâm afraid your legal wife doesnât want to stay with
you!â Dylan uttered as he felt envious. He would have been harsher with his words if it were not for the
freshly made pancakes before him.
However, the plate of pancakes suddenly disappeared. When Dylan came back to his senses, Noah
was standing in the elevator with the plate in his hands. âNoah, what are you doing? Itâs fine if youâre
leaving, but the pancakes must stay! At least let me have a bite!â Dylan uttered.
âThanks for your concern. To prevent my wife from leaving me, I shall deliver these pancakes made
with love to her,â Noah said with a straight face. As Dylan sprinted towards him, Noah pressed the
button, and the elevator doors were shut.
Noah returned to the treatment room with the plate of pancakes. Madeline slowly opened her eyes as
the aroma of pancakes filled her nostrils. âGood. Youâre awake. Have something to eat,â Noah said. He
placed the plate on the table with a glass of warm chocolate milk.
âYou made these?â Madeline asked as she noticed that Noah was still wearing an apron. She felt that
Noah had been much more gentle with her after five years. She could not imagine him as he was back
then.
âThatâs right. Colt said he was hungry, so I made some for you as well,â Noah said as he pulled the
chair for her. âThanks,â Madeline said as she approached the table. She glanced at the pancakes and
decided to use the washroom first.
The toiletries and skin care products were all brand new. The brands were the same as Madeline used
back at the Maple Forest Villa. It seemed to have been prepared just for her. After looking through the
different products, she chose a mild facial cleanser.
Madeline removed the bracelet on her wrist and poured a few drops of golden liquid. She gently mixed
it with the facial cleanser in her palms and applied it to her face. After a minute, her face was clean and
free from makeup.
Madeline felt familiar yet distant as she looked at herself in the mirror. It had been a long time since she
showed up without any makeup. Noah went upstairs to make a glass of fresh strawberry juice as he
waited for Madeline.
When Noah came back to the treatment room, he was astonished to see Madeline without any
makeup. It was her true self standing right before him. âNoah, youâre aware that Iâm not dead, right? I
also didnât kill your grandpa,â Madeline said.
âYes, I know,â Noah replied. He had known long ago but he did not dare to admit it. âIn that case, could
you let me go?â Madeline said.
