Liam was putting his hands on his waist as he ordered the bodyguards behind him to get into action.
Annalise was watching from behind, and she didnât seem to have any intention of stopping her
subordinate.
Madeline watched those bodyguards coming at her, and her expression darkened.
âMs. Solace, are you trying to turn against the association?â
âYouâre the one who doesnât show us any mercy in the first place. You canât blame me. Go get them!
Donât let anyone here off the hook. Since this judging panel doesnât know how to recognize talent, they
should just be replaced.â
Annalise looked at Madeline with a smug expression on her face.
Annalise disapproved of the fact that a random woman could be the Chairman of the Global
Philanthropy Association. She wanted to teach Madeline a lesson. She wanted to show her the power
of a conglomerate family that wielded the mightiest power in this capitalistic society!
âGuys, Ms. Solace has given out the order. Go get them!â
Liam was unsure of Annaliseâs stance all along, but now that she had given them the green light, he
immediately let loose and led his men to begin the thrashing.
Liam especially aimed his attack on Madeline as he rushed towards her.
Albert immediately placed himself in front of Madeline, and he kicked Liamâs chest, which sent him
flying.
âOw! You⦠You kicked me!â
When Liam was sent flying, he crashed into several of his men along the way.
The bodyguards fell down like dominoes, and they even almost crashed into Annalise.
Madeline watched this insanity unfold and this only fueled her fire even more.
The sole daughter of the Solace family appeared to be graceful and generous, but she was actually
arrogant and unruly.
That really opened Madelineâs eyes.
âSince youâre insisting to act violently, then donât blame us later on for what is about to happen. Albert,
if you donât render these thugs useless, Iâll cut your pay!â
âRoger, Ms. Madeline!â
Albert had harbored a lot of pent-up negative emotions for these people, so now that he was given the
green light, he immediately got into action.
Madeline dragged Professor Seeker to sit down at the furthest end of the room. They began to watch
the action unfold.
Annalise saw that her men were getting pummeled, which made her want to escape this place.
However, when she turned towards the door, she discovered that it was locked.
There was no escape route for her.
When she saw that Madeline was unscathed and was sitting in the last row watching the fight, she
almost felt like her anger could reach its peak!
âMs. Madeline, have you ever thought about the consequences of your action? I will never forget the
humiliation that I suffered today. The Solace family will never let you off their radar!â
Annalise stomped all the way to where Madeline was, and just as she was about to hit Madeline, her
wrist was gripped hard by Madeline.
âI see, if the Solace family is not going to let me off the hook from now on, why should I let you walk out
of this place alive? If you all just die here today, there will be nobody to verify what has happened here.
My words will become the truth.â
A murderous aura instantly filled Madelineâs features, which caused Annaliseâs heart to skip a beat.

darkened as she flung away Annaliseâs arm with force.

Annalise noticed that Madeline had a blank look on her face and thought that she must have spooked

her, the door of the meeting room was kicked hard by someone from the outside. Then, a familiar voice
was heard.
âWhatâs going on here?â
âNoah, youâre finally here! These people are so scary, I am really terrified!â
When Annalise saw Noah, it was as if she had turned into an obedient rabbit. She plastered herself all
over him to seek consolation.
It was really quite a sight, and Madeline felt that it was too much for her eyes.
So the ladyâs fiancé is none other than Noah? Thatâs really the funniest joke in the world!
Noah was still in the company when he heard that one of the Solace family had arrived. He heard that
something had transpired in the Charity Association, and he was told to come to remedy things.
He initially wanted to look the other way, but considering that he was in a partnership with them, he
should play the part of the host well.
Whatâs bothering him was that he somehow remembered that the Charity Association was where
Madeline worked.
What defied his expectation was the sight of bodyguards littered all over the floor the moment he came
in, and he also did not expect the sole daughter of the Solace family to be the one who had visited this

Noah frowned and he instinctively put some distance between himself and Annalise.
Noah was still at the door, but he was stopped by Annalise. He was busy backing off from her and
didnât realize that Madeline and Albert were in the meeting room.

Annalise had this faint smile on her lips, and she was acting playful.
She even hooked her arms around Noahâs when they were talking.

She should have known that this scumbag of a man who was begging for her forgiveness had this side
to him!
While he was attached in marriage, his eyes were seemingly elsewhere. She would not know that he
had gotten himself a fiancee out of nowhere!

âNoah, whatâs wrong? Arenât you happy to see me?â Annalise was pouting and she was trying to act
cute.
âLet me ask Wayne to send you back.â Noah had no emotion in his voice when he replied to her.
âWhat? We just met, yet youâre sending me back? Are you unhappy that I didnât go visit you first when I
arrived in Imperia? Noah, I plan to finish my job before seeing you, but little did I know, I bumped into a
haughty woman here. Look, my arm has marks on them now!â
Annalise wagged her fragile-looking arm in Noahâs face in an attempt to seek attention.
Madeline really couldnât take it anymore. Worse, she even felt the urge to throw up. She stood up and
walked out of the room without any expression.
She simply uttered, âStep aside.â Noahâs eyes widened in horror at this moment.
âMy wife!â When Noah finally laid eyes on Madeline, his eyes sparkled all of a sudden. He called out to
her merrily.
However, before he could get close to her, he heard someone near him shout loudly at Madeline.
Annalise even stepped forward and grabbed Madelineâs shirt.
âYou damned woman, you havenât apologized to me yet. I am not letting you go now!â Annalise was
grabbing the sleeves of Madelineâs shirt, and she was even trying to maintain her cute image while
scolding someone.
Albert was following silently from behind, and he squeezed past them.
When he passed by Noah, he shot him a pitiful gaze that had mixed feelings.
It was as if he was saying, âMr. Quincy, you watch out for yourself. I canât help you this time.â
âLet go!â
