Chapter 471 When Did You Become Handsome?
âThe psychic said that you will have a calamity in life. You will be dead because of your wife.â Karen
took out a peace talisman and wanted to wear it for Noah.
Noah stared in the direction the cab went.
Wayne could help but to hit the like button in his heart for Noah. Mr. Quincy is really smart. He didnât
need to tell them personally to drive them away. He had thought so, Mr. Quincy put so much effort into
renovating the house. How could he let them stay here?
Noah went to the garage and drove a car to the Maple Forest neighborhood. He found out that
Madeline was not there when he reached.
An hour ago, Madeline had sent Mackenzie back to Maple Forest villa. She planned to go to Jacobâs
place. When Thomas and Colton heard that she was going there, they wanted to follow too. They
havenât seen him since he returned from Uranica.
She couldnât win against them and brought all three of them out. On the road, she was very careful to
prevent any accidents from happening.
Fortunately, they reached Jacobâs neighborhood safely.
Since Jacob worked under Madeline, he had become more cheerful. He was not the boy who always
hid in his room. He had his circle of friends and became more energetic.
âWow, since when did you become a handsome man?â Thomas looked at Jacob exaggeratedly. He
remembered when they first met, Jacob had long hair and a beard. He looked scruffy and disheveled.
Jacob scratched his head and replied shyly, âAll thanks to Ms. Madeline.â
Thomas nodded and spoke like an adult, âThat's good, keep it up.â
Mackenzie felt she should say something too as everyone had shown concern for him. She coughed
lightly and said, âYou have a good image now. I will introduce you to suitable roles in the future.â
Jacob smiled and nodded. He didnât have anyone to care about him abroad or at home. He felt touched
as he heard everyoneâs kind words.
âWell, letâs catch up later. How about the security footage that I asked you to retrieve?â Madeline
interrupted her children.
Jacob became serious and walked to the computer. The large screen behind him was divided into
seven or eight windows after some clicking noise from the keyboard. Each window had different
footage in it.
Noah stared in the direction the cab went.
Wayne could help but to hit the like button in his heart for Noah. Mr. Quincy is really smart. He didnât
need to tell them personally to drive them away. He had thought so, Mr. Quincy put so much effort into
renovating the house. How could he let them stay here?
âItâs all here. When I was retrieving them, I noticed someone tried to edit them. I intercepted it.â
Madeline nodded. It meant that what she was watching now were all the original videos.
âWatch this first.â Thomas pointed at Bruno on the screen.
Jacob played the footage from Brunoâs home as Madeline did not object.
In the footage, Bruno and Kingsley were sitting on the sofa watching the TV but they fell asleep
gradually. The chandelier above Brunoâs head suddenly fell and smashed directly on his head. He was
scared to death and woke up Kingsley hurriedly. They rushed to the hospital.
In another footage, it was not from a surveillance camera. It looked like a person with a pinhole camera
who recorded it. It was shaky but the protagonist in the footage was still Bruno.
Bruno was lying on the hospital bed and talismans were hanging all around his bed, including on his
body. There were talismans on Kingsley as well.
The nurse laughed at them several times because of this.
Another accident happened next. Bruno suddenly convulsed on the bed, foam began to form in his
mouth and his eyes were rolled back. If Kingsley did not notice in time, he would be gone.
âWait. Rewind it.â Thomas suddenly moved the mouse and rewound the footage for a few minutes.
Madeline did not notice anything unusual. Thomas glanced at Jacob and he felt guilty, âThis footage
had been modified. I did not notice it at that moment, it was too late when I took notice of it. It couldnât
be repaired.â
Jacobâs eyes were almost blind from watching all the footage. He did not miss it purposely.
Madeline did not blame him, she knew that Jacobâs daily workload is huge. He had to finish his task at
the company, but also to do what she temporarily arranged for him, such as monitoring Bruno.
Itâs really difficult to find someone to film Bruno secretly outside when he couldnât be monitored at
home. Furthermore, this edited footage was not completely useless. It was enough to prove that
someone is behind all of this.
âItâs all here. When I was retrieving them, I noticed someone tried to edit them. I intercepted it.â
