CHAPTER 473 LETâS EXPERIMENT
Madeline dragged Elise into the car. It was not that she didnât care about Eliseâs life, she had a strong
feeling that those people were just coming after her and they would only take action when she was with
Noah.
âMaddie, slow down. I donât want to die yet.â Elise held on to Madelineâs hand on the steering wheel.
âMaybe you will have to be buried beside me the next second. Any last words?â Madeline teased her.
Eliseâs face went white and she made a phone call.
âDylan, Iâm going to die. Before I die, I want to tell you that I like you! You donât need to answer me and
also donât need to be together with me. I had never thought of being with you. I actually hated you. You
never do your things properly and you eat all the food. I donât know why I like you. Maybe it was the
punishment from my previous lifeâ¦â
Elise said a bunch of things. Madeline couldnât hold back and smiled widely.
Dylan was stunned on the other end of the phone. He was quite happy when he heard the first few
sentences. His heart was thumping hard and was accompanied by a pleasant feeling.
However, he thought Elise was joking to tease him when he heard what she said after that. He retorted,
âDonât be obsessed with me.â
âEww. Put Mr. Quincy on the phone. Let Maddie have her last words with him!â
Elise didnât know if Noah and Dylan were together. She was dying anyway, she only remembered that
both of them were always together.
Coincidently, Noah was next to Dylan.
âWhere are you?â A familiar voice came from the phone.
Madeline frowned and was annoyed. Elise persuaded, âMaddie, donât frown. Talk to him. Maybe you
wonât be able to see him anymore.â
âWhere are you?â Noah raised his voice. He could picture Madelineâs annoyance in his mind.
âIâm busy now. Iâll talk to you later. In about two hours, Iâll contact you again. Give me an hour later.â
Madeline hung up the phone after she finished speaking.
Elise gave her a thumbs up for her strong mentality.
Half an hour later, Madeline parked her car in front of the boutique. Elise got out of the car with weak
legs and exclaimed, âItâs good to be alive.â
Madeline cackled and held her up. The suspicions in her heart were more certain now.
âWhat's wrong with you?â Elise was yanked over by someone when they had just pushed the door to
enter the boutique.
Madeline looked up and saw that it was Dylan.
As soon as the two met, they argued. However, the argument was about whatâs wrong with me liking
you. Do you have a problem with it? No comment, I liked you too, so?
Love was in the air.
Madeline exited the boutique and got back into her car. She intended to go to Albert and Andy as they
were very close to her. She wanted to know if they were affected by this incident.
She saw Noah sitting in the driverâs seat looking at her without any expression.
âI still have two hours before Iâm going to contact you. Get out of the car first.â Madeline said calmly.
Noah looked into her eyes, trying to see a trace of jealousy in her eyes. There was nothing but anxiety
and impatience.
In other words, the appearance of Karen and Sadie did not affect her just now.
He should be happy as he didnât have to explain anything to her. Yet, he felt something was wrong in
his heart.
âMr. Quincy, please get off first.â Madeline waved her hand in front of his eyes.
Noah stayed silent. It was obvious that he didnât want to get out of the car.
âWhat do you want now?â Madeline asked as she sat in the car and closed the door. She was wary of
the surroundings. Worrying something would suddenly come out of nowhere.
Noah pursed his lips. He didnât know what he wanted to do. He just wanted to look at her and stay with
her, doing nothing.
âMr. Quincy, you saw what happened on the road just now. Our safety was threatened. So, can you
please be sensible? The thing we should do now is to find out the truth behind it.â Madeline said.
Noah leaned down and fastened her seat belt. He then started the engine, âWe will be the bait to lure
them out.â
Madelineâs heart skipped a beat. He had also realized it. Well, thereâs no need for an experiment now.
We could find that person directly.
âYou have nothing to ask me?â Noah asked after he drove for a while.
Madeline was attentively observing the situation outside. She froze when she suddenly heard him
speak.
He had forgotten about his discomfort about the situation by her confused look.
âDonât be so nervous. They could know that we are luring them out and they might not make a move.â
Madeline felt that he was quite right and she turned away from the window. She was still observing
using the corner of her eyes.
âWhat did you ask me just now?â
âNothing,â Noah answered.
Some thoughts came to Noahâs mind suddenly. The first person who came into her mind when she
wanted to experiment was Elise, not me.
Noah felt slightly upset that he was behind Elise in the line. Perhaps she was with me during the
accident that had just happened, so she felt that there was no need for us to experiment together.
Noah kept thinking about some useless stuff in his mind while carefully observing the surroundings.
The speed of the car was also much slower than before.
To make this operation go smoothly, Noah drove the car toward the outskirts of the countryside. Now,
they were on a suburban road with only a few people.
In the spur of a moment, Noah jerked the steering wheel while he pulled Madeline into his embrace,
protecting her with his body.
Madeline also noticed a woman who suddenly appeared in front of the car. Her hair was messy and her
body looked like it had been soaked in blood. She looked bloodied.
The car crashed into a tree next to the highway. The engine hood was broken and there was smoke.
Madeline did not suffer any injuries while Noah had some bruises on his head and hands.
âAre you okay?â Both of them asked in unison.
Madeline said she was fine. Then Noah smiled with relief and helped her out of the car.
After Madeline saw that he could stand on his own, she turned around to find the woman they had
avoided.
When she removed the womanâs hair that was covering her face, her eyebrow raised in surprise.
