Aggresive Wife Chapter 78
Angie was furious when she heard about the news.
âI knew that guy wasnât dependable, but you two didnât listen and kept trying to push your daughter
down a fire pit!â
Angie had returned to the apartment and sat on the couch, venting her anger. Although she wanted to
get some money from Jerry to return to her luxurious life, she always felt he was not good enough for
her. The one in her heart had always been Noah!
Now that she had something that could be used against Madeline, she might be able to make a
comeback and return to the peak.
After hesitating a moment, Angie went to her room to dress up. After putting on her makeup, she
rushed toward Quinton Corporation. Noah should be in his office at this timeâ¦
âNoah! Noah, Iâm here!â
The Quinton Corporation, where she could once freely enter, had become a forbidden area to Angie.
The bodyguards under Wayne were all on guard when they saw her.
Angie was forced to wait outside under the sun for three hours. It made her lips dry, and she almost
fainted. When she finally saw that familiar figure, she could not help but cry.
Noah did not even look back, but his eyes were filled with disgust. âWhy are you here?â
Angie was already in front of him, so he could not dodge and finally spoke. However, his dark eyes
carried a bone-piercing coldness.
The coldness and indifference in Noahâs eyes made Angie instantly disappointedâ¦
âNoah, I have something to tell you! The current Madeline is actually the same as the past Madeline!
She didnât die! You must stay away from her. She harmed Grandpa, so she might make a move on you
too! She has always been wicked and could do anythingâ¦â
Angie held the last bargaining chip and continued with her old tricks. She kept framing Madeline, trying
to arouse the hatred in Noahâs heart, so she could use him to get rid of Madeline. She continuously
talked about the past and the âcrimesâ that Madeline had committed. However, she did not realize
Noahâs expression had worsened.
âAngie, you better know your place. Otherwise, your situation will be much worse than now!â
Noah shouted and interrupted Angie, who was sobbing. He had felt guilty for wronging Madeline in the
past, so he naturally would not allow others to slander her.
Angie was frightened by his shout and was immediately stunned. Her beautiful eyes were filled with
tears, and her heart was filled with confusion, but she dared not say another word. After all, Madelineâs
so-called crimes were all fabricatedâ¦
However, why did Noah seem unsurprised that Madeline did not die?
Could it be that he already knows Madelineâs true identity and the truth of the past? Does this mean
that he knows everything now?!
Seeing Noahâs dark expression, Angie felt guilty and frightened. How could she still dare to speak? She
could only freeze in place in shock.
âNoah, I beg you. For the sake of our years of friendship, please donât treat me so coldly. Itâs fine even
if weâre only ordinary friends, so it wonât be too embarrassing. The Grant family would also have a
strand of hopeâ¦â
Angie was unsure of how much Noah knew, so she did not dare to be reckless. She could only settle
for less and beg Noah to leave some hope for the Grant family.â
Angie cried so much that her voice became hoarse, and Noahâs cold eyes finally revealed a hint of pity.
âIf you know your place, from now on, everything in the past will be forgiven, and the Quincy family
wonât make it hard for you too.â Although Noah still had a dark expression, he still showed some
mercyâ¦
Angie was unsatisfied inside but did not dare to be greedy anymore. âNoah, donât worry. Iâll⦠Iâll be
obedient and not cause any trouble for you.
âOf course, itâs on the premise that Grandpaâs matter doesnât have anything to do with you or the Grant
family.â As Angie was pretending to be innocent, Noahâs voice sounded. His words were like lighting,
instantly stunning her.
âI⦠Itâs Madeline who harmed Grandpa. It doesnât have anything to do with meâ¦â Her heart was by her
throat, and she was so frightened that she could force herself to hold on.
Noahâs patience was soon exhausted, so how could he allow Angie to continue pestering him? He
turned around, went into the car, closed the car windows, and left ruthlessly.
âSir, where are we going? Are we going home?â Wayne looked behind from the front passenger seat
and waited for Noahâs orders.
âGo to the Maple Forest Villa,â Noah said indifferently.
Wayne was so shocked that he thought he misheard Noah.
âHuh?â Wayne mustered the courage to ask him again.
âWayne, if you have hearing problems, you can retire earlier and go back to Alewell to work in the
fields,â Noah spoke calmly, but his words stunned Wayne.
It was not easy for him to calm himself before he turned to the driver and said, âTo the Maple Forest
Villa. Quickly!â
Wayne was so nervous that he broke into a cold sweat. He was afraid that if he was a second too late,
he would be arranged to go to Alewell.
After half an hour, they arrived at the Maple Forest Villa.
Under the anxious gazes of Wayne and the bodyguards, Noah rang the doorbell for the first time ever.
âDidnât you say youâll only come over after you finish working? Why are you here soâ¦â When Madeline
heard the doorbell ring as she cooked steak, she thought Elise had come over earlier.
However, she discovered it was Noah when she opened the door.
Madelineâs smile froze as she said, âMr. Quincy, why are you here? Could it be that you have brain
problems after injuring your abdomen and canât find your house?â
Madelineâs slender body blocked the door as her hand held the doorknob tightly. It was clear that she
did not plan on letting Noah in.
She had felt guilty after he blocked the attack on her. However, he appeared in front of her again, and it
was only two hours since she treated him. Moreover, he was persistent and kept teasing her.
Madeline kept dodging Noah until it was finally time for Noah to return to the company for the board
meeting. Thinking that she finally escaped, that persistent bastard soon came over again.
âWhy does it seem like Ms. Madeline doesnât welcome me? Arenât you too heartless? Iâm considered
your savior!â Upon seeing that the door was about to be closed again, Noah spoke while being on
moral high ground.
âMhmm, youâve indeed saved me, so Iâm grateful to you. However, you did it voluntarily, and your injury
seems much better now, so you have to keep bothering me, right?â
Madeline did not plan on showing any mercy to Noah.
