(One Week Later)
Virion Leywin
It has now been a week since I got my new sword, I used it while I was training, and it went pretty well. I was happy with my choice; the sword is able to withstand me infusing mana into it. That was my biggest worry.
I was currently in my room alone. I woke up maybe five minutes ago, surprised that Ellie wasn't here. She usually woke up after me every day, so it was unusual to see her not here. I got up off of my bed and made my way to the dining room. I assumed breakfast was ready, that must be where Ellie was.
"Veer." Someone said as I exited my room, I turned to see Lilia.
"Good morning, Lilia." I smiled at her.
"Good morning, I think Arthur is here."
"Wait, really! Why didn't anyone wake me up?" I got excited; my brother was back. I wanted to hear some of his stories about what he fought; they don't go over each dungeon run in the novel. I was curious to learn what each dungeon had to offer.
"Yeah, I think your mother tried, but you slept through it." Lilia giggled. "You were up late last night practicing in the back yard."
"I guess you're right." I laughed with her. "Where are they?"
"I saw him in the dining room last, they are probably still there." I quickly turned and ran toward the dining room.
"Thanks, Lilia." I shouted, I didn't hear a respond, in mere seconds I was in the dining room. "Arthur!" I said as I entered and saw Arthur, Ellie, my mother, and Aunty Tabitha. "You're back!"
"Hey Veer." He smiled as I ran up and hugged him. "Have you grown since the last time I saw you?"
"Maybe." I sat down at the table next to Arthur. Sylvie was sleeping on his lap.
"Good morning, Veer. I tried to wake you, but you would not budge." My mother laughed. "Are you hungry?"
"Yeah, I am." A servant brought out breakfast and I started to eat.
"Veer, we need to talk in the living room after breakfast." Arthur said seriously. Did I do something wrong? No, I definitely didn't.
"Alright, am I in trouble?"
"Did you do something? Is that why you're asking if you're in trouble?" My mother looked at me skeptically. Unless she found out about the shirt I burned with a flame, I should be fine.
"Of course not." I answered with a fake smile.
"You are not in trouble Veer, but mom you need to come too. I would like dad here as well, but I need to know as soon as possible." Arthur spoke up, I wonder what he wants to talk about. I'm a little relieved I wasn't in trouble.
"Alright, is there something wrong?" My mother asked, and I wanted to mock her by asking if she did something wrong, but I held strong.
"No, I just have a surprise for Veer, but I want to talk about it first with you guys." Arthur had a surprise for me! What was it?
After breakfast we all made our way to the living room except for Ellie and Aunty Tabitha. I didn't know where Lilia went after I talked to her. I was sitting on the couch next to my mother, while Arthur sat on the single chair with Sylvie on his lap. She was awake now, looking over at us.
"Veer, before I show you this, I want you to promise that if mom and dad don't approve you will not cry about it." Arthur was being very serious for some reason, but I nodded my head. Suddenly, a blue ball appeared in his hand, it had to be a Beast Core. Wait!
"Is that a beast core!" I exclaimed.
"Yes, Veer, but it has what you asked." My eyes went wide, he found a Beast Will! That's amazing!
"No way! You found one!" I was looking at him in excitement.
"Found what?" My mother asked wearily.
"Mom, inside of this core is a Beast Will." I wasn't looking at my mother so I couldn't see her reaction, but it was probably shocked. "I would like to give it to Veer, since the Beast Will is of the water element."
My mother didn't say no right away, that's a good sign. "I don't know Arthur, that's dangerous, isn't it? I don't know much about Beast Wills, but I know that they are hard to control." This was true, but I didn't care.
"What mana beast was it?" I asked.
"Sylvie was the one that actually got it, she said it was a Sea Serpent." A Sea Serpent, never heard of it. Obviously, it was some sort of snake in the sea, so Arthur was right; it was perfect for my water element, and my Blood Deviant magic. That might just do it for me! That could increase my power enough to control people's blood without placing mana in their body.
"I think we should wait for dad, but I trust you, Arthur. If you say Veer can handle it, then I'll agree with it." My mother is actually allowing this to happen without a fight.
Arthur started to rub his chin, like he was hiding something or forgot to mention something. "Well, with the Beast Will comes a lot of mana. Veer will need someone to help mentor him through the assimilation process, and I got in contact with someone who is willing to help." He paused and looked into my mother's eyes. "However, Veer would need to leave home for a while, but mom, it would be for his own good." I would have to leave? Where would I be going? Don't tell me.
"No! Never mind, I take it back, he can't do it." My mother grabbed me. "I don't want another son to leave." This was what I was expecting.
"Where?" I asked, curious if my guess was right or not.
"Elenoir." I was right.
"Nope! Not happening." My mother shook her head.
"Mom, I need this! I'll be safe, right Arthur? You were there for a while, I'll probably only be there for a year." I pleaded with the two of them.
"He's right mom, I would help him, but I can't unless I stop adventuring." I rather Arthur did it, but I want to go to the Elven Kingdom if I have the chance. "He'll be safe, just like I was." At least I had Arthur in my corner.
"I don't know...Veer you'll be leaving and living in a place you never have been before." She looked at me with a straight face. "And we know you aren't the most well behaved boy. You won't be able to mess around there."
"She's right, Veer. You'll need to behave yourself." He stood up and handed me the core. "For now, until dad gets home at least, you can just absorb the mana in the core. I think it's best if we let mom and dad think about it."
"That's a good idea, Arthur." My mother smiled at him. I was holding the core and as I started to absorb the monstrous amount of mana inside of it, I could feel the serpent's will slithering around. It took all my resistance not to absorb it into my core, I knew I had to wait for permission.
"How does it feel?" Arthur asked as I stopped absorbing mana.
I got up and hugged him. "Thank you, big brother."
"Don't thank me yet."
"The mana alone will help me, but this Beast Will is perfect for me." I told him with a smile. "I'm going to go to my room for a while."
"No." Arthur said. "I suggest you absorb the mana out here in case anything happens. Take my seat if you want."
"Oh, okay." I got up on the one seated chair and started to absorb mana. Sylvie jumped up on my lap and we sat there for a while. This amount of mana may allow me to skip past the orange stage completely. As I continued to absorb the mana, I could feel the Sea Serpent calling me. I wanted to just grab it and test my blood magic.
I heard my mother start to speak to Arthur. "Arthur, I know this means a lot to Veer, but are you sure it's safe?"
"Yes, mom. It's safe if he has a good teacher, and he will have the best one in Elenoir." I would get to meet Virion, the person I am named after.
"You mean Elder Virion would be teaching him, just because you asked him too?"
"Yes, this is huge for Veer, I don't think you understand." Arthur told her. "He puts so much time and effort into training, you know that better than anyone. I just want my little brother's effort to pay off, which it has so far. With this though, he'll take several steps forward."
"I know but having my youngest child leave worries me." She paused and then continued. "I don't know if I could handle him leaving."
"You can mom, you're the strongest Leywin there is." I didn't want to leave my family, I had to though, if Arthur couldn't train me.
"Haha." My mother laughed. "Thanks, Arthur, even though I don't know how true that is."

My dad just got home from the Helstea Auction House, and we were sitting in the dining hall. It was Ellie, mom, dad, Arthur, Lilia, Aunty Tabitha, and I. Uncle Vincent was still at the Auction House.
I wanted to ask my father about the Beast Will, but I figured it would be best if Arthur brought it up or mom.
"Rey, your sons have something to ask you." My mother spoke up and everyone turned to Arthur and me.
Arthur placed his fork down and started talking. "Dad, on my most recent trip, Sylvie came across a Beast Core and inside is a Beast Will."
"Oh my, that is amazing! What type of mana beast?" My father was excited.
"It was an S Class Sea Seperent, which specializes with water magic." He paused and looked at me. "I would like to give the Beast Will to Veer."
"Oh really, I think that's a great idea." My father looked over at me. "We know Veer's pretty advanced in water magic."
"Rey! You are on board already?" My mother chimed in.
"Arthur wouldn't suggest something that would hurt his younger brother."
"Dad, if Veer does bond with the Beast Will, he'll need someone to help with his assimilation process." Arthur told him.
"Oh, who did you have in mind?"
"Elder Virion has agreed to train him, like he did for me."
"Oh my god! That's awesome!" My dad seemed super happy from this. That was a good sign.
"Rey, he will have to go to Elenoir." My mother said sadly.
"I figured, but this is huge for Veer. If Elder Virion agreed to train him, I don't see how we don't let him go." He paused. "As long as Veer wants too."
"Little brother is leaving?" Ellie looked at me with puppy dog eyes.
"It looks like it." My mother said, which means she was okay with it. I was going to Elenoir! This is going to be incredible.
Holy shit! I'm going to meet Arthur's girl!
"I don't want both big and little brother to be gone." Ellie started to pout. "I'm going with!"
"Ellie, you can't." My mother was done eating so she picked Ellie up and started to walk out of the room. I could see my mother was starting to tear up as well. "Let's go to the living room."
"Veer, you need to go talk to them." Arthur placed a hand on my shoulder. "You need to start packing your things as well, because I already told gramps you accepted."
"When will he be here?"
"He won't be here, a carriage is coming for you in about a week." Arthur told me. "Luckily he knew someone coming back from Xyrus, and they allowed you to come with them."
"Isn't that going to be a long trip to Elenoir?" I asked him.
"Yeah."
"I'm going to go talk to them now." I got up and started to make my way to my mom and Ellie. As I entered the room, Ellie was still pouting on my mother's lap. I walked up and sat next to them. "Mom, I'll be okay, you don't have to worry about me."
"Veer, I'll always worry about you sweetie." She placed a hand on my head.
"Little brother you are not allowed to leave." Ellie said demandingly. My mother just smiled.
"Ellie, I'll be back in no time." I smiled at her. "I have to go."
"I don't want you too though."
"Big sister, you'll be in charge of taking care of mom." I leaned into the two of them. "And you will have a room to yourself, I think that's a win."
My mom laughed and Ellie stopped whining.
"Fine, I guess I'll step up in the house since you'll be gone." Ellie looked away, I think she was starting to cry, not whine now.
"Ellie don't cry." I said as I hugged my sister on my mother's lap.
"I'm. Your. Big. Sister." She cried out and for some reason my eyes started to water.
My mother had a hand around both of us now.
"I'm sorry, big sister."
