(One Week Later)
The carriage was here for me, parked outside the mansion. I was all packed up and ready to go.
"Come here." My mother said with open arms. I walked up and hugged her. "Make sure to behave yourself."
"I know, mom. I love you." She didn't let me go, she just kept on holding me. "Mom, I have to go."
As she let go of me, my father picked me up. "Get stronger champ."
"I will dad."
"Have fun Veer." Aunty Tabitha smiled at me, as my father placed me back on to the ground.
I said my goodbye to Uncle Vincent this morning, before he went to the Auction House. He was very enthusiastic about me training with Elder Virion.
Arthur stepped in front of me. "Bye Veer." He bent down and hugged me, then whispered in my ear. "Say hi to Tess for me." I gave him a smile.
Lilia was next to him. "Bye Lilia." She walked up and hugged me.
"Don't do anything stupid there, Veer." Lilia told me.
"I won't." I chuckled.
I walked up to Ellie, she was crying. "Bye, big sister."
"Bye, little brother." We hugged, and I made my way to the carriage. My mother walked beside me.
"I packed all your favorite clothing, and I threw in some snacks for the trip." She smiled and we stopped in front of the carriage steps. The elven guard was waiting for me. "One more kiss before you go." She bent down and kissed my forehead. "Be safe."
"I will."
I waved and got into the carriage, no one was in here. It looked like I had the carriage to myself. That's pretty sweet.
The guards got on to the front of the carriage and we started to move, I was going to be sitting in here for a while. I pushed mana into my mana ring, something Arthur gave me before I left, and pulled out the Beast Core.
It still had a shit ton of mana inside of it, so I started to absorb it.
When my parents agreed to let me go to Elenoir, I bonded with the Beast Will that night. It felt weird, like there was now something slithering inside of my chest, and the urge grew for something I couldn't put my finger on yet.
I'll tell you though, my confidence skyrocketed from bonding with it. My strength with water attribute mana increased exceptionally each day. I truly felt like I was going to be able to make a difference eventually.
The only, and biggest problem was that I was still scared to kill. I don't know what will happen when I am put into a position where I am forced to kill to stay alive. Will I be able to do it or not, I don't know?
I took a peek at my core and noticed that I was in the solid orange stage. Another thing that caught my attention was that there was water wrapping around my core, like a protective barrier. I'm pretty sure it was the Sea Serpent trying to eat away at my core because of how powerful it was, but I wasn't completely sure. No need to worry about it, maybe it was just extra mana I could use in a fight if I had too.
The carriage stopped and I could hear the guards talking to someone, but I didn't know who it was. Then the carriage door opened, and an elf walked in. He sat down without saying a word to me. The elf looked to be around Arthur's age, maybe a little older or younger I couldn't exactly tell.
That was until he smiled. "So, you're the brother of my rival, I'm sure you know who I am." I looked at the elf completely confused; Arthur had a rival in Elenoir? Arthur could kick this kid's ass. "Introduce yourself youngling."
I opened my mouth and then closed it, who the hell was this guy. I gasped and laughed and then pointed at him. "Feyfey." His proud face slowly diminished into one of embarrassment and anger.
"No, no, no, I am the great Feyrith Ivsaar III, do not call me Feyfey." He said and I laughed, what were the odds that I would be riding with him. "Please, I didn't catch your name."
"It's Virion." His eyes went wide. "Yes, like your old King, but you can call me Veer." I activated my mana ring, and I placed the beast core back inside.
"A great name for my rival's little brother." He paused and looked at my hand where the beast core went. "Was that a beast core?"
"It was." What was Feyfey's powers, I don't remember. With elves a good guess would be either wind or water.
"Why do you have that?" Feyfey asked, getting comfortable in the seat across from me as the carriage started to move again.
"It's why I'm going to Elenoir, I bonded with the Beast Will inside fo it, and Elder Virion is going to be training me." A shocked expression crossed his face.
"You're telling me, you a kid, are now a Beast Tamer?" I nodded my head. "I expect nothing less from my rival's brother."
I scratched my chin. "Are you rivals?"
"We are young Veer; our battles were legendary." He held a fist up in remembrance.
"Did you ever win?" He slowly brought down his fist and didn't respond to me. "I'll take that as a no."
"I will defeat your brother one day, I swear it." Feyfey exclaimed.
"I bet." I rolled my eyes.
I can't wait to get to Elenoir, I was going to be meeting Tessia, well, I guess I have to call her Princess Tessia to start. Arthur's girlfriend, the person I'm going to have to protect from Agrona.
I don't know how long I'll be in Elenoir, but I'm pretty sure when I return Elijah will be there. Killing him, may make my life easier, but the thought of doing that just makes me shiver in disgust at myself.
"How old are you?" Feyfey asked me, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"I'm four."
"Impressive, your core, what level is it at?"
"Solid orange." I didn't get a reaction from him, he just stared at me. "You good?" I asked him after a couple of seconds.
"Yeah." He shook his head. "Solid orange at your age is impossible, I'm not even out of red yet!"
"I guess I'm stronger than the great Feyfey." I joked.
"Haha, my core might be weaker, but I have much more experience."
"Getting your ass kicked?" I tilted my head and smiled.
"Be careful how you speak to your elders." Feyfey huffed.
"You aren't an elder, your older, not an elder though." He then looked down at my chest, I think he was trying to examine my core. Is he really not out of red core stage? I guess he is at the time where kids usually awaken.
He then gasped from something. "I can sense the creatures Beast Will inside of you! What is that thing?" I only just started to learn how to hide my mana, so I understood how he was able to see it.
"A Sea Serpent."
"You specialize in water magic?" Feyfey asked me.
"Sort of." He didn't need to know that I was a tri elemental with three deviants.
"I also happen to specialize in water magic, I'm sure my magic is a little more powerful, but you'll catch up to me." He said as he flipped his blond hair back. Did he really think his magic was more powerful?
"Oh Feyfey, I hope my skills will be as great as yours."Â I said sarcastically, then continued. "Do you only possess water magic?"
"Yes, don't you?" I nodded my head; a white lie won't hurt. "Looks like we are in the same boat then."
"I guess so."
We continued the ride in silence, about ten minutes later I made the decision to start absorbing mana again. We weren't talking, and this was the only other thing I could do, besides sitting and staring.
The mana was refreshing, it felt warm and tingly. I wonder what I'll be doing with Elder Virion, and What was my Beast Will going to allow me to do? Arthur got static void as his phase one of his Dragon's Will. What will my phase one allow me to do? I couldn't wait to find out.
It should allow me to control people's blood, I could feel the difference already in my strength and connection to the people around me. Their blood was racing throughout their body, and I was starting to feel it in everybody. I was still scared to make a complete connection where I could do something with the blood, because I didn't want a Sebastian incident happening again. I was hoping that the Serpent's Will can give me the strength to control what I do with the blood, and make sure I don't lose control over it again.
I was still trying to decide if I should tell Elder Virion about me being a Blood Deviant. I was going to tell Arthur, but I never did. I was scared to see his reaction, but Elder Virion was a good second choice. I felt like I needed to tell someone, the secret that I was able to control people's blood was eating me up inside.
I couldn't wait to get there.
I broke the silence. "How long is the trip?"
"Maybe thirty minutes, twenty now." What? He was being serious. Damn Arthur! He was just joking when he said it was a long journey! "Oh look, we just made it to the teleportation gate." I took a peek at the blue portal, and as I did, we entered through it, I forgot that was the only way to get out of Xyrus City.
Holy shit! The view of Elenoir made my jaw drop. It was absolutely beautiful, the buildings were made out of this weird but cool looking material, giant trees rose up everywhere, there were even houses built on some of the branches of the trees. This was definitely the Kingdom of Elenoir.
"See we are already here." He paused and admired the sight. "It will be another fifth-teen minutes until you arrive at the palace." The carriage stopped and Feyfey stood. "But this is where I will depart."
"It was nice meeting you." I held out a hand.
He took it. "Likewise, little brother of my greatest rival." He smiled and got out of the carriage. He was a pleasant surprise on this trip. After about a minute we started to move again.
I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous. Arthur had experience in his first life with royalty, whereas my experience was reading about Arthur with royalty. I guess that's not the worst thing in the world, at least I know enough to not make a fool of myself.
As time passed, we got closer and closer until we finally arrived at the royal home of the King and Queen, it was in a giant tree, but the building inside of it couldn't be described in words.
Looking at the front entrance, my heart started to pound. Standing there was Elder Virion, King Eralith, Queen Eralith, and Princess Tessia. They were waiting for me, the carriage stopped maybe ten yards away from them, and I grabbed my bag. Before exiting I took a couple deep breaths, trying to calm myself down.
I opened the door and looked up at the family, before I could do anything, Elder Virion spoke up smugly. "So, this is the brat who is named after me."
