Chapter 127: Cadell Pt. II

My Beginning After the EndWords: 13345

"Hahaha, pussy!" I said as I looked at him, being held up into the air, that's when I felt Arthur launch himself at the Scythe, however, it was too late to stop what he had planned for me. "Ahhh!" I screamed as I fell to the ground, my arm shattered, completely broken.

"I told you I was going to end you two today." Cadell went to kick me, but I deformed my blood sword and formed a blood shield, blocking his attack, and shot myself away from him, landing on my knees.

I had the blood circle my body as I held my arm, going in the wrong direction. "Hahahaa." I laughed in pain as Arthur went toe to toe with the Scythe alone. "This bitch." I quickly started to use blood healing to help with my arm, but I couldn't use it to exactly heal a bone.

I'm done, I stood up. "Hahaa." I released more of the Serpent's Will, giving over more of my core and mind, needing more power right now. I formed a blood sword in my hand. "Screw it." I started to conjure illusions throughout the field, countless replicas of myself as Arthur got thrown to the ground by the Scythe and backed away from him.

I walked over to him as the Scythe stared at me, and my illusions that just stood there motionless. "Are you okay?" Arthur asked with a worried expression. "Y-your arm is --"

"Broken, yeah I know." I answered, now standing next to him.

"I'm going to have Sylvie get you out of here, I'll buy you enough time to make it back to the Floating Castle." Arthur stepped up, but that's when I had my illusions attack Cadell, shooting different spells at him, and swinging their fake swords through him.

I made Arthur and I invisible to his eyesight and had the illusions mess with him. "Arthur, he can't see us at the moment, he can sense us slightly, but that's it." I got into a position to strike him. "I'm going nowhere, have Sylvie get over here when she can, I have the water mana around his core, but it's not enough, I need more if I want to do anything."

"She's wrapping up her healing, but she isn't at one hundred percent." He peeked at me. "Neither are you, that's why the two of you should leave."

"Who said I wasn't at one hundred percent?" I vanished before him and made my way toward Cadell with my broken arm slinging on my side.

He stared at me, even though he couldn't see me, brought his sword up and blocked my attack. I held my sword against his, and he spoke. "This trick won't work on me, Lesser." I raised my broke arm towards his chest, and conjured a beam of ice and fire together, sending it into him.

Before the beam could hit him, his body deformed into a gas, and reshaped itself. The illusions were still bombarding him with attacks, but he was ignoring them, acting like they weren't even there.

I got rid of the invisibility spell, not needing it, knowing it didn't matter because he could still see us in a way, but I have a plan to use it a little later when the time is right.

I spun off his blade, brought my sword to his other side, a spike rose, I liquefied my blade, reformed it as it passed through the spike, Scythe Cadell's fist, however, was right in front of my face, I quickly moved my head to the side, continued to bring my blade toward him.

Arthur shot a beam of energy at him, I sensed ice, fire, wind, maybe some lightning, couldn't tell to be honest. Cadell vanished into a gas form, floating up into the air, my rain still coming down on him.

The Scythe reformed himself, and that's when an idea appeared in my head. Cadell shot a stream of soul fire down towards the two of us, causing us to move in different directions

"Haahaha." I laughed, running from the black fire, there was no need to hold back anymore. I was free to do whatever I wanted, destroying this forest to take a Scythe down, why the fuck not. I shot into the air, the fire followed, and I disrupted Cadell's core, and flew toward him in the sky.

I swung my sword at him, he shot some sort of wind at me, but I rolled away from the stream, and kept on going with my approach. My sword reached his ribs, and as he went to dodge my attack, I brought down a stream of water, using the mist already coming down to help with that.

The stream pushed the Scythe to the ground; I knew I wasn't going to be able to hit him with my sword; he was faster than me at the moment. The Scythe hit the ground and looked up at me. I tilted my head and smiled, keeping the stream of water going, trying to slow him down.

An illusion stepped up to him and swung its sword, and it passed right through him. "How dare you look down on me!" Cadell roared, Arthur shot himself further away from Cadell, sensing what I did, countless spikes grew from the ground around him, leaving no space to attack him. "Come here, boy!"

Scythe Cadell appeared before me in the sky in an instant. "Ha." I smirked as his sword passed over my head, and I sent my blade into his core, but it was stopped by his other hand going to grab me. "To slow." I stopped my attack, pushed my blood flowing in my body to go even faster, vanished before him, appeared again just above him, brought my sword down on his head

His red eyes widened as he raised his blade to block my attack, but I disappeared again, appearing where I was originally, bring my sword into his rips, it hit his armor, and as I was cutting through it, the Scythe's body and armor became intangible, and my blade passed right through him hitting nothing.

He flew above me, I pushed my blood to its limits, needing it to go faster, making my body work faster than it ever did before, and it needed to happen now. "Where you going?" I asked him as I flew to a spot in the battlefield where there were no spikes from Cadell. "Come on old man."

I landed on the ground, and taunted him, insisting he joined me on the ground where my illusions were. I needed them to pull this off, I also needed more power, which I was getting slowly.

"Don't tell me what to do, Lesser!" Cadell roared again, appearing before me swinging his sword at my head, I ducked, brought my blade up to his chest, soulfire built up inside of him, I disrupted his core before he could use it, sensing that he brought his sword down to deflect my attack.

I shot wind mana out of my feet, twisting myself in the air, so I spun around his sword coming down on me, and my blade ended up going to where his head was. Cadell snarled at me as my sword came down on him, a wind pushed my body away, but I extended the tip of my blade towards his face as I was moving away from him.

I landed on the ground and looked up at the Scythe; he was staring at me in anger. I pushed water mana into the large cut I left on his cheek, but it quickly healed itself, and cut me short. I still needed more mana inside of him, I could probably take off his arm, but he won't die from that, it will give us a better chance of winning.

"Fine." Cadell turned to Arthur. "You might want to fight with your brother, you two are going to need all the streng---"

He was cut off, I stood in front of him, swinging my sword at his knees, his sword came down on me, ignoring it, Arthur shot himself into the mix, blocking the Scythe's attack as my blade got closer to him.

I formed the water mana I had inside of his body around his core, I couldn't do much to it, but I was able to control his mana output a little better now, which was nice, it allowed me to disrupt his core with ease, making it so he can't summon black spikes or soulfire.

Cadell swatted Arthur away, sending him to the ground, and as my blade got closer to his knees the Scythe lifted his foot, my sword went by him. I got to my feet, swung my blade again at him, but before I managed to start, my momentum took me backwards and I lost my breath as Cadell's foot appeared in my stomach, and launched me across the field.

I hit a spike that grew out of the ground, my back resting up against it as I sat there, my arm still dangling on my side. The blood sword now deformed, and the blood was floating around my good arm. Arthur was looking worried as he ran over to me, and that's when Sylvie went flying toward the Scythe.

It was impressive what aether could do, it managed to heal her, and stop the soulfire from spreading in her body. "You good?" Arthur asked me as he reached out a hand.

I reached up with my good arm and took his hand. "Yeah." I answered, cracking my neck as I got to my feet, Sylvie went to claw at the Scythe, but his magic returned to him as I lost control over his core when I hit the ground.

More soulfire shot out of him, and toward the dragon, causing her to fly away from him. "It's only a matter of time before one of his attacks lands on us, like he just did to you."

"I know." My arm was still dangling on my side, broken, but repairing itself slowly. "Arthur, we need to get him to drop his guard, my illusions are not doing much, just shooting randoms spells and swinging their swords at him, but over this period of time, I'm sure he's gotten used to ignoring them, so we will use that against him."

"What are you thinking?"

"I'll do everything, all you have to do, is attack with me." I told him. "Have Sylvie stay in the sky and launch distant attacks at him." She was currently swinging her dragon claws at the Scythe, and hitting nothing as he backed away, she then formed a beam of energy in her mouth and shot it at him.

As the beam hit nothing, the dragon flew up into the air, doing what I wanted her to do. "Alright, just one or two more wounds, and you should be able to take him down, so let's do it!" Arthur shot himself at the Scythe as he turned to us, and I followed up behind him, making sure to stay close to him, that's when I started up the spell I wanted to use.

I activated my mana ring, and pulled out the elven sword I had gramps retrieve for me when Wren took it. I reinforced it with mana, but that was it, no elements, I didn't need them now, I finished the spell I was performing, and then swung my sword at the Scythe as Arthur's blade passed right through him.

I disrupted his core once again, making sure no soulfire got into us, my blade met his blade. "What's this pathetic sword?" Cadell sent a fist into my gut, and I watched as it slowly approached me, and collided with my chest, knocking me to the ground.

I dropped the blade, rolled away from it, shot myself to my feet, formed a blood sword with the blood I had left circling around my arm. Arthur swung his blade at the Scythe again, the black energy he had dancing over his sword, was violent, trying to tear into the Scythe's flesh.

I joined in, swinging my blood sword at him, and the three of us started to dance across the field, if there were ordinary people, or even low level mages nearby, they wouldn't be able to keep up with our movements, that's how fast we were going, shaking the ground as we moved with all our strength.

It stopped when Cadell's sword pierced Arthur's skin, right by his shoulder, sending him to the ground as I made sure it didn't go too far into his body, stopping his blade with my own, then shooting a ball of fire into his chest, knocking the Scythe backwards a little.

He backed away from me. "This has gone on far too long." Cadell's looked angry with us for some reason, I did cut his face a little, the mark was there on the grey mask thing, a little blood covered it.

"You've been saying that a lot." I said, turning back to Arthur who was holding his wound, but was on his feet ready to continue, I reached into his body and healed him, making sure he was okay.

A beam of energy came down from the sky, colliding with the Scythe's back knocking him toward me, I swung my blade at his head, he ducked, and went past me toward my brother, Arthur shot himself at the Scythe's core, but that's when I felt it, soulfire shot out of his mouth, toward Arthur.

It wasn't a spell he just made though, it was one that was already conjured, the soulfire managed to get inside of Arthur and he dropped to the ground and gasped for air.

"Haven't you notice already, Blood Deviant!" Cadell turned to me, like the energy that hit him was nothing more than a splash of water from my mist currently still going on. My eyes widened though in realization. "There it is."

"Hahaa." I laughed. "I should have seen it coming, soulfire eats away mana." He conjured soulfire inside of his body and ate away the foreign mana in his blood stream with it, quite impressive if I say so.

"Yes, you should have." Cadell grinned at me as there was no longer any of my water mana inside of him. "I know how your magic works, Lesser, but it seems you didn't know that."

I started to use Arthur's blood to heal him, putting out the fires, but I looked up at Sylvie. "Help him!"

Sylvie came flying down, picked up Arthur's body as he tried to fight against the fire, and as she did, Arthur shouted to me. "Get out of here! You can't take him alone. Sylv, help him, not me."

Sylvie gave me a glance, and nodded her head, knowing that I could buy us time against him. I sent her a nod as well and turned my head back to the Scythe. "So, what, I still have slight control over your core."

"But you know that, slight control, isn't enough." He did have a point; slight control was not enough to take him down. "Now, after I break you down, and take you back with me to Alacrya, your brother will be blaming himself for not being able to save you! Just like he did with Lady Sylvia!"
