"Dad, is Veer and Art, going to be, okay?" I asked my father as we sat in his room, I just came in after I finished training with my bow. Currently, my mom and some medic were sitting out on the balcony, talking about Veer's recovery, which I didn't want to hear. It worried me for some reason, hearing how my twin brother broke his bones, and needed time to heal back up.

"Yes, El." My father assured me. "They are going to be fine." I didn't know if that was true or not, in the time that they have been back, Arthur has spent most of his time in his room doing something I didn't know, and Veer has been up and about trying to heal back up. "You know your brothers; they will do anything to make sure that we are safe."

"Yeah, I guess that's true." I could sense that my bond, Boo, was in the hallway, mad that he couldn't come into the room with me. For some reason, my father didn't like it when he did, so he has been band from entering this room. "They can't win this war alone though; you know that right?"

"Of course, I do, no one can win a war alone." At the moment, I didn't know if my father's words were true, Arthur and Veer seem to be carrying us on their shoulders, trying to take these Alacryans down all by themselves, which was amazing, but at the same time scary. "Your brothers just want to do what they can to make sure we win this war; they aren't fighting them alone."

"Do they know that? I'm not trying to be rude, but to me, it seems like you have been pretty distant from Arthur." I already spoke to him about this, but I want to make sure he knows, that no matter what Arthur did, he is still my brother, and their son.

"No, we haven't." I sighed from the couch as he said this, because I knew it was false, mom and him have been slightly distant from him ever since he came back, but with Veer, they adore him, they make sure he is okay all the time, just like me, which shows that they care for us, more than Arthur. "We just know that Arthur can handle himself, so your mother and I make sure Veer and you are okay."

"Why Veer? He's fighting in the war; he can handle himself don't you think?" I asked, knowing that Veer might have surpassed Arthur in strength, even if he was injured worse than him. "He's taken down a Retainer, the only one they have seen, I think Veer scares the other continent's leaders."

"I can't answer for the other continent's leaders, however, I can say, Veer can handle himself when it comes to being in a battle, but when it comes to other things, you know your younger brother, he is nowhere in the maturity range Arthur was at his age." He may be right about that, but just because Arthur is more mature, doesn't mean they should distance themselves from him.

"I guess you are right, would you say I am more mature than Veer?"

"Umm, yeah, you know when you shouldn't say something, Veer, on the other hand has no self control, and will say anything that is on his mind." We both started to smile, thinking about the crazy things he has said when we were all together. "But that's why we love him, he is unpredictable."

"Yeah, that's true." Veer did have no self control when it came to speaking.

"Let's head back out on to the balcony." My father said, getting up from his seat on the couch in his room. "Veer is probably back, and we should spend some time together."

"Okay." I stood up, and the two of us made our way out of the room. "Boo, come on." I spoke to the bear who was leaning against the wall, examining the door until I came out. He made some grunting noises, and then quickly joined us as we made our way back to the balcony.

"Hey!" Someone screamed from behind us, my father, Boo, and I turned to the approaching figure. "You heading back out to the balcony?"

"Yes, we thought you would be there." I told Veer as he stopped in front of us now.

"How was your rehab? I also heard you had a chat with General Aldir." My father asked Veer as we began to walk toward the balcony once again.

"Fine, not even needed, wouldn't do it if I had a choice." Veer was walking beside me now, it was weird, he was so strong, yet we were around the same height, he was a little taller, but I guess height doesn't determine someone's strength. "I'm only a little sore, but I did break a couple bones."

"Rehab is good though, it will get you back to where you were." I knew my dad's words wouldn't get into Veer's head, he had one thing on his mind, and that was going back into the field. I heard they were going to Ashber for some special mission, I don't really know any details though.

"Yeah, yeah, that's all I've been hearing." Veer sent him a smile. "Anyways, Lance Aya is back, I was just with her."

"Oh, that's cool, how is she doing?" My father knew that Veer and Aya were close, almost like brother and sister at times.

"She's good, she was in the Elshire Forest." The balcony was now in range of our eyesight. "Seemed like a pretty boring mission for a Lance to be honest."

"Not every mission ends with a battle." I told Veer, pushing his arm slightly.

"Those are the boring ones." He repeated with a smile on his face.

"Veer, can you not talk about being battle hungry in front of your mother, it may worry her." My father was looking at Veer, and we all began to laugh slightly.

"I won't."

On the balcony was our mother, and the medic known as Fiona, she has been in charge of Veer's health ever since he came back. I'm pretty sure she is in charge of Arthur's health as well, but not completely sure.

"Here he is." My mother said as Fiona and her turned to us, staring at Veer. "Is everything okay with Aldir."

Veer nodded his head. "Yeah, it was a great conversation." It sounded like he was being sarcastic, but I'm not completely sure, because most of the time he speaks sarcasticly.

"Veer, I'm clearing you to spar tomorrow, but not elemental magic." Fiona told him as we got closer to them sitting around the table, and I could feel the excitement building up in Veer.

"Good." He responded, and then took the seat next to our mom.

I took the seat next to Veer, my father stood behind my mother, Boo sat in the corner of the balcony near us. "What do you say to Fiona? I don't care if you are a General Veer, you still need to be nice to others when they help you." Veer turned to our mother, she was looking at him with a stern face, and Veer sighed.

"Thank you, Fiona." Veer then proceeded to speak some more. "Dad, I don't care what mom and you say, I was going to do this before, but never got around to it."

"What?" He asked, I looked at my brother curiously, what was he up to.

"I was planning on sending a clone with all my abilities with you in the field, to make sure nothing happens, but I never got around to creating the perfect clone." Jeez, I forgot he was able to do that, something I wish I could do. "So, before you guys leave for the field again, I'm going to be sending a white core clone with you, that way we both know that we are safe."

"How would we know your safe?" My mother asked him. "We don't need a clone of you with us."

"If the clone dies before it uses all of its mana, then that means I died." Veer simply said, acting like his death was meaningless to us. "And, yes, you do need a clone with you, we have no clue what might happen down the road, this way, you'll have some protection."

"I guess it's fine." My father said, I agreed, if it kept them all safe, then it's perfect. "Ellie, Helen should be here tomorrow, so you can spend some time training with her."

"Awes---" As I was speaking, Veer interrupted me.

"Na." He said and sent me a smile from next to me. "I think the two of you should be my sparring partners tomorrow, I won't be using elemental magic, so dodging arrows and other attacks will be good for me."

"Don't interrupt me!" I punched him softly in his healthy arm.

"Or what?" Veer responded. "You scared?"

I shook my head at him, I knew what he was trying to do, and it was working. "If I hit you with an arrow don't go crying to mom." Veer rolled his eyes. "What? You don't think I can hit you?"

"Ellie, we both know, no, actually everyone here knows, you can't hit me with an arrow." Veer was trying to be serious. "Don't lie to yourself."

Damn Veer, he's so cocky. "Shut up." I told him.

"Haha." Our parents laughed. "Stop arguing, Veer be nice to your sister, and Ellie, same goes for you." Mom gave Veer and I a smile, and then a firm look, telling us to stop bickering.

Veer leaned over and whispered in my ear. "She knows you can't hit me with an arrow, that's why she stopped us." I bit my lip, trying not to say anything else, knowing I would probably get in trouble if I did.

I shook my head at Veer as he backed away from me, he was smiling, which pissed me off. "What did you say to her?" My mother grabbed Veer's ear.

"Ahhh, nothing, I didn't say anything." Veer continued to smile, even while our mother had a grip on his ear.

"Don't lie." I smiled back at Veer this time as our mother spoke again.

"Stop, mom." Veer got up from his seat, making her release her grip on him, he held his ear in his hand. "We were just messing around."

"Sure." My mother said, looking at him.

"Is Arthur still in his room?" I asked them, I haven't seen him today. "He should be out here with us." He only returned around two weeks ago and has only really spent time with Veer.

"Yeah, he hasn't left his room all day." My father said, taking Veer's seat as he stood behind my chair now, not rubbing his ears though anymore. "When I spoke with him, he was holding the horn you gave him, Veer."

"He's absorbing mana, trying to advance to white core like me, I would let him go, he needs to get there soon, or we are going to be in trouble." Veer took a step back and added. "I'll go help him; I can use my blood magic to enhance the speed he absorbs mana at." He paused, then looked at Fiona. "If that's okay with you?" He spoke sarcastically.

"Yes." Fiona said, and Veer began to walk away from us.

That's when an idea popped into my mind, I got up from my seat, and went after him as he entered the Floating Castle. "Veer." I said, now walking next to him.

"What?" The walk to Arthur's room isn't that long, so it also will be nice to see him.

"You said that you can help Arthur absorb mana using your blood magic, can't you do that for me too?" Veer scratched his chin, and I continued. "Please, Veer, if there's a chance, I can get stronger, I want to take it."

"Well, you would need something to absorb mana from, which I can give you." Veer's mana ring was activated, and he held out a Beast Core. "It's from some beast I killed in the dungeons, don't really know which one, I have so many, but you can start with this one." He tossed it to me, and I caught it.

"Thanks, Veer." I paused, thinking about how he just pulled a beast core out of nowhere. "How many do you have in there?"

"A decent amount." He shrugged. "If you want me to help you now, I will, you are my twin sister after all." Veer and I turned down the hall where Arthur's room is. "I'll help Arthur and you both absorb mana using my blood magic, shouldn't be that hard."
