The Asura turned to me as we walked. "I feel fine, to some extent." I answered honestly. "Where were you?"
"Here." He said. "I teleported to the Floating Castle this morning to talk with Aldir and Commander Virion, then retrieve you."
"Sounds like a nice day for you." I smiled. "You get to spend some of it with me, aren't you happy?"
Windsom faced forward, not saying anything at all.
"You know you are happy spending some quality time with me." I hated Windsom, I wonder if he would be mad if I tried to kill him right here. "Alright, go ahead, explain to me what I need to be prepared for."
"It is just a meeting, nothing to prepare for." He answered simply.
Well, I don't want to just walk in silence. "Mind explaining the different races here? I'd love to learn something during this trip."
The Asura spoke, and I was surprised. "Fine." I knew a lot about them already, but he does not know that. "There are countless clans surrounding Epheotus, but the Great Eight are the most powerful."
"The Great Eight, wow, what a cool name." I actually didn't know the clans, well, not all of them.
"The Indrath Clan, which you know is of the dragon race." Windsom said, and I nodded my head, knowing that. "We are one of the strongest clans, if not the strongest, we are the only clan capable of utilizing aether arts."
I wish I could use aether. "That makes sense, isn't Lord Indrath the strongest being?"
"Yeah." Windsom nodded his head. "You know the Vritra clan already, they are from the Basilisk race, and use the decay type mana arts, which is the only race that can do that."
"Yeah, I've fought against it already, shadow, acid, other types of weird abilities. I find it quite interesting that a race can just use different types of mana arts." I was trying to get some answers from him. "Why is that?" I think I knew the answer already.
"Their blood, race, genetics, it all has to do with what capabilities they receive." What Windsom told me was what I expected to hear, it's the blood that depicts someones abilities, it is what makes them who they are, it builds their genetic makeup. "That is why your blood magic is so interesting, no Asuran race can do that, no race ever could do that, so you are a mystery."
"Oooh, I am a mystery." I said with a grin. "Haha."
"The Pantheon Race, which is what Aldir is, are represented by the Thyestes Clan." I knew that, and they were strong fighters. "They use force type mana arts." I also know they have that secret technique, which I would love to know.
"Why does he serve Lord Indrath then if he isn't a dragon?"
"Lord Indrath is the King of the Asuras, everyone serves him." I bit my lip and nodded, listening to what he had to say. "The Phoenix Race, represented by the Avignis Clan, they are skilled in creation type mana arts."
The Phoenix Race, they interest me, they truly do, who else but the Lost Prince could have reincarnated me here. I believe they are also masters of reincarnation, so Windsom wasn't telling me everything.
"The Titan Race, capable of using creation type mana arts as well." I didn't know what creation type mana arts meant, I guess it means creating something. "Wren is from the Titan Race, and the clan that is in the Great Eight is the Grandus Clan." He paused and then went on. "They are also responsible for the creation and breeding of Guardian Beast, which is what your sister's bond is." Oh, I didn't know that, that's kind of interesting, they created the beast, and also breed it?
"Hmm." I ran a hand through my hair, trying to get it off my forehead as we walked. "Who's next?"
"The Hamadryad Race." The what race? "Represented by the Mapellia Clan, also use creation type mana arts." They all use creation type mana arts, it's kind of cool, I guess, nothing like decay or aether.
"Alright, that's a weird word, Hamadryad." I said to no one really, it was more of a statement than a question. "Never heard it."
Windsom didn't respond to what I said, he just went on. "Then there is the Sylph Race, which also use creation type mana arts, are represented by the Aerind Clan."
"What is a Sylph?"
"Wind spirit is the definition of the word." I was asking what they were, not the definition, but okay. "Lastly, the Leviathan Clan, represented by the Eccleiah Clan, and like the others, use creation type mana arts."
"Leviathan, hmm, interesting." I didn't know the name of all the races, but now I do, I still didn't know what their powers were, which sucked. Windsom glanced over, but then faced forward like he was thinking of something. "I have another question, Wyverns, decadents of you dragons I believe, how do they equate to everything?"
"They don't equate to anything really." He answered, and I was kind of surprised. "They are a species, that yes, do relate to us in a way, but never truly evolved."
That does bring up another question. "I get it, are there other creatures in Dicathen, like Wyverns?" I never actually thought of this, but couldn't there be plenty of creatures there that are decadents?
"Of course, but not all are known." He told me, and that was when the beautiful sight of the castle came into view. "We are here." It was gold, actually, it was pretty much what you expect from a castle in a land of gods. A dragon laid on top of the castle, not a real one, it was silver, and magnificent to look at.
"Wow." I said, seeing this in person was a different feeling, I never thought I would end up here, but wow, just wow. "So, this is where Lord Indrath lives, pretty badass." I laughed as we entered in what I suspected to be some sort of city, or town, asuras were walking around, none even looking in my direction.
"Keep quiet and follow me." He insisted, and I did as he said, following him towards the castle gates. That is when I noticed a gap in between where we were, and the castle, it was invisible.
The dragon stepped on to it, and I froze, I knew I could walk across, but it was weird to see. I couldn't exactly say I wasn't afraid of heights, and it wasn't like I couldn't fly, even if I was a clone.
"Come on, it's safe, step across." Windsom told me as he waited for me to follow him to the castle.
"Is it?" I asked again, then smiled. "Just kidding, I know it is." I stepped onto the bridge, and it felt weird, but I did it anyways, and kept on going across, following the Asura. "A cool design, I see the king has taste."
A dragon I suspected, I couldn't exactly tell his race, walked by, and eyed me up, but did not say anything. It was a male, he was like Windsom, not super bulky, but you could tell he was strong, he didn't have galaxy eyes though.
"Let's get moving, Lord Indrath is waiting." We entered into the castle and began to walk the halls of it. This place was awesome, I wish I could own something like this, well, tch, I can't think like that. If Sylvie and I got together for real, I guess theoretically, I would be the next King.
"Hahaha." I laughed out loud as the two of us walked alone.
"What are you laughing about? There is nothing here that is funny." Windsom asked, looking at me with curious eyes. He didn't sound angry or anything, I think he was wondering more about what was going on inside of my head.
"You don't even want to know." I giggled again, thinking about Sylvie.
We turned another corner, and down the hall, stood two guards, who were guarding a door. They stood at attention as they saw us, more for Windsom than for me. The dragons probably didn't give a damn who I was, at least for now, sooner or later, they will care.
"Windsom." They said, bowing towards us. "Is this the Lesser that Lord Indrath wants to meet? The one who has now defeated three Retainers, this is the child known as the Devil?"
"It's an honor, sir dragon." I bowed sarcastically towards him, and I could feel their eyes locked on me. "I am Virion Leywin, Lance of Death, Devil of Dicathen, and whatever other names they have for me." I could feel my fist tighten in anger from being called a Lesser, but Windsom is right, they know me as a Lesser cause that is how it works. If I wanted to be something else, I had to prove it to them, that's the only way.
"This is a mere child?" The other guard spoke, this one was a girl, she was in fancy armor. I could tell these two soldiers could whoop my ass in seconds, luckily, being a clone, and having blood magic, allows me to cancel out any affect their aura may have on me. "How could he defeat three half Vritra breeds?"
"He did." Windsom backed me up. "Now open the doors so that we can see Lord Indrath." He ordered, and they shot me another glance, not even acknowledging my introduction, and then they opened the doors, very slowly, and as they did, the giant room came into view.
There were only two people inside, and they were two of the most powerful people in this world.
Sitting on his throne, with silver hair, which wasn't super long, but it wasn't short either, and he had a look of calmness on him, was the man himself, Lord Indrath. He looked like a mighty god from where I was standing, his clothes were nothing special, he was in a white robe with gold linings, which I guess did look fancy.
Windsom approached him, but I still stood in the doorway, staring, next to Kezess was Lady Myre, she also had silver hair, but you could tell she was on the older side. She still looked dazzling for some reason.
Windsom turned to me as I stood still, unmoving, and I quickly picked up my pace, catching up to him. As we got closer, we stood maybe ten yards from Kezess and Lady Myre, and Windsom bowed his head next to me.
I didn't feel anything coming off of Kezess at that moment, he must be holding his aura back. I stared directly into the dragon's eyes, I was in a room with Kezess, this was amazing. We continued to just stare at one another, no one moving at all.
Windsom was still bowing, and when he noticed I wasn't, he gripped my shoulder, and yanked me down so I was bowing as well. If I was not a clone, that probably would have hurt me, but luckily, I was a clone.
That was something that always bothered me, I shouldn't have to bow to someone if they are not my lord or I don't respect them. There was a very limited number of people who I truly bowed to with respect.
We were still leaning over, bowing to the Asura, I didn't know what the hell was going on, I could feel the anger in me building up though. I knew he liked to assert his dominance, but I don't do well with this shit, it pisses me off. I might be a clone, but the real me made it so I had the same emotions as he did, also, I had the same abilities.
He wanted me to be this child like figure, but I couldn't, the emotions currently going on inside of me, contradicting with what my real me wanted me to do. I wonder what the real me was doing at this very moment, sitting in the room alone, or sitting in the room speaking with Arthur.
My eyes were opened, and I was staring at the ground, wondering when this power hungry god would let me look up, but he still didn't, my anger, and just my normal self rose up, and I snapped.
"What the fuck!" I said, lifting my head off the ground, and staring at the Asura on the throne, who was just fucking looking at the back of our heads as we bowed. "Is this your fetish or something?"
