Chapter 179: Epheotus Pt. III

My Beginning After the EndWords: 12033

That was something that always bothered me, I shouldn't have to bow to someone if they are not my lord or I don't respect them. There was a very limited number of people who I truly bowed to with respect.

We were still leaning over, bowing to the Asura, I didn't know what the hell was going on, I could feel the anger in me building up though. I knew he liked to assert his dominance, but I don't do well with this shit, it pisses me off. I might be a clone, but the real me made it so I had the same emotions as he did, also, I had the same abilities.

He wanted me to be this child like figure, but I couldn't, the emotions currently going on inside of me, contradicting with what my real me wanted me to do. I wonder what the real me was doing at this very moment, sitting in the room alone, or sitting in the room speaking with Arthur.

My eyes were opened, and I was staring at the ground, wondering when this power hungry god would let me look up, but he still didn't, my anger, and just my normal self rose up, and I snapped.

"What the fuck!" I said, lifting my head off the ground, and staring at the Asura on the throne, who was just fucking looking at the back of our heads as we bowed. "Is this your fetish or something?"

Windsom immediately shot to his feet, gripped the back of my neck, and threw my head into the ground. "I am sorry, Lord Indrath, please forgive him for his bad manners, he is a child among the Lessers." He paused as my forehead got pushed further in the ground, and all I could manage to do was smile. "He is also mentally insane, which you know."

"No, I am not fucking sorry." I said with my forehead on the ground, anger rising in me. "I don't want to bow for an hour, that's all, I don't care what type of shit he's into." Windsom's grip tightened, almost choking me, making it hard to breath at all.

"Watch your mouth, or I'll end your life right here!" Windsom told me, and I had a smile on my face from the absurd remark that just came out of his mouth.

"You speak like that again, and I'll kill your entire family." Lord Indrath paused, and then went on. "It's fine, Windsom, you may rise." As Lord Indrath spoke, it gave me goosebumps. "I know he is a child, and I know he is mentally ill, that is why I'll allow that little stunt."

Windsom's grip loosened, and I lifted my head up off the ground, activating "Blood Oath" once again, knowing that I was going to need it in about a couple of seconds. "Well, I'm happy I can raise my head off the ground." I said, rubbing my neck where Windsom gripped. I hate them all, damn, the real me ain't gonna be happy with this.

Windsom shot me a look of annoyance, anger, and so much more, but Lord Indrath spoke. "Aldir was right, his reports on you were accurate, you are something else." I nodded as the asura spoke, the anger in me gone to some extent, but I was still a loose cannon.

"Thanks." I said, eyeing up the god, not giving to shits who he was. "You know, I've heard a lot about the King of the Asuras, your abilities, what you have done, you are a man of myths as well."

"And how would you know all that?" Lord Indrath asked me, and I smirked. "That right there, that is what interest me, Aldir said you knew things that no Lesser should know, even if your brother gave you information on us, he didn't know everything, so what do you actually know?"

The god vanished before me, standing now, not sitting on the throne, but looking down at me on the stage he was on. "I know everything, Lord Indrath, but you know, to prove it, I know you have Static Void, which you just used, and you have Realmheart, just like Lady Myre." I paused, lowered my head nicely to her, then spoke again. "Of course, you do have other spells, I am sure, like pure mana manipulation."

The god nodded his head, staring at me, taking in my words. Windsom was now silent, not trying to control me anymore, letting me say what I wanted. I was trying to be nice, but it was hard. "You may be right there, but you could have easily put two and two together from what your brother told you about us." I shrugged. "But even so, being able to do that is impressive."

"Yeah, except, Arthur never spoke about it." I took a step closer towards the stage, looking up at him.

"You say you know things that I have done, mind explaining that to me as well?" It seems like Kezess is fascinated with me, I mean I knew that already, but this is weird.

"I think I'll keep that to myself." I grinned. "Secrets are a very useful weapon, don't you think?"

"For a child, you speak to us like we are equals." Lord Indrath tilted his head. "The look in your eyes tell me, you think that, you think to some extent we are, don't you." I didn't respond, but Kezess smiled. "Or is it something else?"

"I don't think we are equal, Lord Indrath, I just don't think sharing everything I know will benefit me at all, so I won't." I wasn't going to bring up the Djinn, that shit would most definitely get me killed, well, destroyed. "I'm sure you understand."

"I do." Lord Indrath responded, sending shivers down my back. "I'll take you word for now, I don't see why you would lie." I agree, why would I? "Let's chat about why I really wanted to meet you, Devil of Dicathen, your blood magic is unique, you are the only person in the world that possesses it. I want to know everything about it, I want to see it, and I will offer something to you in return."

"Offer me something? What?" I asked, not knowing what he could give me, that I wanted besides more power. "Also, don't you already know what my powers can do, I am a Blood Deviant, so isn't obvious I can control blood?"

Windsom glared at me like I was being too rude or to straight forward or something, I just let it go. "I will offer you a treaty, a deal between the two of us."

"A deal? Wouldn't me showing you my powers, and getting something in return, be considered a deal?" I asked him with a curious tone.

"Making a deal with me, is your reward." He answered my question. "I want to see the powers that were capable of taking down a vritra blooded soldier."

"Why?" He vanished again, appearing on the floor before me in a flash, making me jump slightly in surprise. "You don't even need them; you can take a Vritra clan member down with ease."

"But your powers are different, unique, one of a kind." He stood now a yard or two away as we spoke. "I want to know just what you are capable of, just like your brother, he was considered an anomaly among you Lessers, but you, you are an even bigger anomaly."

"Haha." I laughed, taking a step backwards as the Asura got to close to me. "You are what I expected." He was a dick, greedy, and only cared about what I was able to do, but I guess that is why I came here.

"Show me." He ordered, and I stared in confusion. "Let me see you manipulate blood."

"Do you have blood lying around?" I asked, I wasn't going to cut myself, I had a limit to what my body could handle.

"Use your own."

"Oh, wow, I mean, fine, but telling a child to basically cut himself, and manipulate his blood is kind of cold hearted." I held out my hand and conjured an ice dagger.

"I thought you knew everything." He replied, and I just sighed as I slit my palm, causing the blood that made me too slowly come out, then I had it float up into the sky, right before us. "Fascinating."

I healed my wound using blood magic and had the blood in the air flow through the sky. Everyone in the room stared at it in awe.

"Cool, right?" I said as I brought it down to me, and it circled my arm. "Is that good enough for you?"

"No." Lord Indrath said. "What else can you do?" Lady Myre was just standing there observing, not saying anything at all. I thought she was the caring one, was she okay with how her husband treated an eleven year old boy.

"Let's see." I was only able to go into phase one of my beast will, only because the power resides in my blood. I couldn't get into phase two, so if he wanted to see that, I wouldn't be able to show him. "Honestly, that is it, I can create weapons with the blood, but other than manipulating it, the only other thing would be disrupting cores so people couldn't use magic."

"I heard you can do that." Lord Indrath faced Windsom. "Make it so Windsom can't use magic."

"I can't." I told him. "It has to be someone on my level, or weaker, with Windsom, I could probably only control a limb or two, maybe not even that."

"You can only do it with people near your power range?" I nodded at the dragon. "So, if you would get stronger, you could control our cores?" I nodded again, he kept on asking me questions, it was annoying, why did I have to be the clone sent here. "I want to test something myself."

I felt his aura explode out of him, but it had no effect on me, even an asura's aura couldn't get past my blood magic barrier, which protected me from those types of things. It didn't make me fall or back up, or anything, if the real me was here, it would be different, since I was a clone, I didn't feel the same way when it came to things like this.

I would most likely be on the ground, I was a clone, the real me would have the fear for his life to worry about. I, on the other hand, didn't care what happened, if I got killed or not, it did not matter at all.

"If you are trying to get me to enter my phase two, it won't happen." I told him. "And entering phase two only changes my connection with blood, it doesn't really give me any new powers."

"I was expecting more." He said simply, vanishing before us, appearing back on his throne. "But I can see how your powers can be a handful." Oh my god, the King of the Asuras called me strong in a way. "You can disrupt cores, control limbs, and I know you can rip the blood out of you enemies, now that, is something spectacular."

"I would test it here if I could, but I sadly can't." I waved my arms. "I just can't demonstrate anything on people who are stronger than me, I don't know what you want me to do about that."

"I don't need a demonstration anymore." Lord Indrath said. "I understand, your powers have limits like everything else." He was as calm as when we started, showing nothing to me. "You are eleven, correct? That is what you said."

"I am eleven, yes."

"You will only grow stronger." He said, and a question from before rose in my mind. "You are something Agrona never saw coming, you even surprise me." I want this to end already, he is just trying to figure me out. "It makes you think, do you know the truth about your brother?"

"Huh?" I said questioningly.

He only stared at me, trying to see what I knew, then he responded. "I thought you knew everything?"

"Haa." I bobbed my head back and forth. "No, I said I knew everything about you."

"It doesn't matter." Lord Indrath waved it off, not caring anymore. "Well, I'lll hold up my end, and we can make a real deal, but first, I have one more thing to ask." Jeez, another question. "How did you know we were going to attack Agrona in Alacrya? Aldir told me you guessed we were going to do that, I don't see how someone does that, care to explain?"

"Why would a continent full of powerful beings rely so heavily on another continent who is so much weaker? I knew at some point things would change, and you would try to end it yourself, so yeah, I guessed." I might not have guessed, knowing what I do from the novel, but I think I had a believable lie.

"You are smart." This stupid god believed me, haha. "I see why Aldir speaks highly of you, and I also see why he speaks poorly of you." Aldir speaks poorly of me, it's probably my attitude, I don't hold back when I am with him.

"So, are you not going through with the attack?" I asked, this would give us an advantage going further, because after the attack, they have to abandon Dicathen, and are no longer able to help us.

"No, we are still going through with it." Kezess said, and I stared at him confused. "I won't stop an attack because of a child's words." I nodded, you know what, screw it, we don't need them, they aren't fighting with us anyways. "If Agrona is killed, the war is over."
