I moved away from her, getting to my feet. "Thanks, Sylvie." I felt the top of my head, it did feel like my brain was being stretched, but I was thankful she helped. "How do I look?"
"Better." She answered, causing both of us to laugh. "Haha." This was nice, having her here like this, I really do enjoy being with her. "Veer, there is something you should know." Sylvie said, looking away from me. "And I know it's a little embarrassing, but I want you to know."
I leaned on the edge of my desk, looking at her. "What is it?" I asked, wondering why she would be embarrassed, oh, shit, never mind, I knew. "You can tell me." I smiled brightly, assuring her she could speak truthfully.
However, her hole demeanor changed for some reason, her eyes closed, and as they reopened, they somewhat looked at me curiously. "Hmmm." Sylvie hummed for some reason, then spoke again, this time though, what she said, gave me goosebumps. "You must be Virion Leywin."
I was looking at Sylvie, but I knew who I was talking to now. "Oh my god." I said, her face changing to one that was showing confusion. "Agrona Vritra, what poor timing you chose." I shook my head. "But I'm glad we finally get to speak, one on one."
"How peculiar?" Sylvie was speaking, but it sounded different for some reason. "You know who I am?" Agrona asked, and I smiled, nodding my head. "What a crazy child you are."
"You can say that again." I shrugged, getting up from the desk, making my way to the chair behind it. "So, Agrona, mind me asking why you have possessed your daughter's body?"
"To speak to you, Lesser." As he said that, I held up a finger.
"Call me that again, and I'll leave." I was speaking with Agrona, this was awesome, first Lord Indrath, now him, things are getting interesting. "Is that clear?"
He leaned his head onto the palm of his hand but nodded. "Fair enough." Wow, he agreed to listen to me. "I've come to propose something to you." Oh my god, I hate this type of shit, he's going to ask something bazaar, and waste my time.
I shook my head. "No, first, we are going to speak about other shit." I said seriously, no trace of emotion on my face. "I want to know if the idiotic asuras in Epheotus attacked you already, I know you know they are coming, but dude, Agrona, they are morons." I spoke casually to this deity.
"Haha." He laughed. "You see what I see." Agrona nodded his head. "They did indeed."
"You know what's funny, I told them not too, but they didn't listen." I sighed loudly. "Well, I guess I don't have to deal with Aldir's bullshit anymore."
"How do you know of all this?" He examined my face, trying to see how I could possibly know what I know.
"They broke your treaty, then you made a new one that said they can't help us in the war anymore." I shrugged toward him. "How I know all of that isn't any of your business." I pointed at him. "They were your only threat, now, Dicathen is up for the taken."
"You don't think you can win the war without them?"
"Bruh." I said. "Why are you the only one that gets to ask questions here? I wanted to talk, not be interrogated by an arrogant god." I paused, and then continued to speak. "You know, if we had to pick sides, I might have picked yours."
"Oh, really?" Agrona said questioningly. "Why is that?"
Oh my god, he keeps asking me questions. "Okay, new rules, I'm gonna ask a question, and then your gonna answer, then I'm gonna answer that question." He smiled as I spoke without fear. "Why did you want to capture me?"
"I think you know the answer to that already." He replied. "Who wouldn't want someone who can control blood in their possession?"
"Tch." I made a noise. "I guess that's true."
"Why would you have picked my side?" He asked a question.
"Why wouldn't I?" I said seriously. "Let's look at this way, yes, you tortured the lives of countless Lessers for your own goal, however, look at what you have done for your people?" I know he doesn't care about that, but it was true, the people of Alacrya were striving, whereas in Dicathen, people struggled in places.
"And what would you know about my people?"
I waved my arms. "Agrona, you may think you are a genius, and don't get me wrong, you are, you are genius, but I know everything, and when I say that, I am serious." I smiled, thinking of the question he just answered for me. "It wasn't you, hahaa." He didn't reincarnate me here, he had no clue who I was, it couldn't have been.
"You are very strange child." He spoke up. "You claim to know everything, but that doesn't answer the question on why you would side with me."
"Doesn't it, you think I would have sided with the dragons? We both know what they did, Agrona, no need to beat around the bush." I couldn't reveal a lot to him, but I wanted to talk with this deity. "Do I pick one side where they tested, breed, tortured, but created a well functioning continent, or do I pick a genocidal maniac?"
"That's a good point, but I don't understand how a Lesser." He stopped himself. "I don't understand how you could know of what Kezess did to the old mages."
"The Djinn, you mean, alright, enough about picking sides, you did what you did now, there's no turning back." I told him. "Our continents will never truly be allies unless you take with force, which you are trying."
"You think I've been trying?" He asked, and then added. "I thought you knew everything."
"Jeez, Agrona." I shook my head at him. "We both know we can't reveal a lot, I'm not telling you everything I know, which is everything."
"Hmm." He thought about my words. "I wondered what you were like, but I guess that question is answered, you are exactly what I expected." That's good to hear, I lived up to Agrona's expectations. "You are cocky, calm, crazy, and just utterly insane."
"Good, you know what you are up against."
"You know what you are up against." He said, and I bit my lip. "I have been very cautious in this war, and depending on your answer to my proposal, things will get a lot more serious."
"Likewise."
"What?" He looked at me confused.
"I said likewise? Depending on your answer to my proposal, things will get serious." I've had a lot of time to think about all this, and yet, my plan was horse shit. "Listen, Agrona, we are at war, you haven't used your forces to their extent yet, we both know it, everyone does, so tell me, why haven't you tried to capture me in the last three weeks? I know I am hiding, trying to, but you most likely know where I am."
"Of course, I do." He answered the question I had. "And to why I haven't tried to capture you, it is because I wanted to chat, propose a deal, try to get something else from you."
"Dude, fine, I don't know everything, how the hell do you know where I am?"
Sylvie smirked at me. "It is a secret, like you said, we can't tell each other everything." Why did I say that. "Are you ready to hear my deal?" I leaned back further in my chair and sighed, then motioned for him to tell me. "If you and your brother drop out of the war, I promise not to kill any citizen, limit casualties on the battlefield, and I will not touch your family."
"Honestly, I would take you up on that deal, but my brother won't, so, it's a no, Agrona, I ain't dropping shit for you." I paused, stood up and stared at him. "You know me supposedly, would someone like me, a killer, a murderer, just give up on a war. I am not saying what we are doing to your soldiers is pleasant, so I won't judge what you do to ours, but I rather not let Dicathen fall under Vritra law."
"That's all I needed to hear." He said back to me. "And don't you worry, I know what you have done to my soldiers, torturing them with blood magic, it makes wanting to capture you so much more."
"You are going to be trying to capture me again, good to know." I rolled my eyes. "Who are you sending next?" I leaned against the desk looking at him.
"Wait and see." He answered. "You said you had a proposal for me, what is yours?" I was about five feet from Sylvie's body. "I'm curious what you are going to ask of me." Let's see how smart this god is.
"Let's not get to my proposal yet." I told him. "I have to ask, are you going to speak with my brother when you have the chance?"
"Yes." He answered truthfully, wow. "I'll offer him, what I offered you."
"Okay." I nodded.
"Why haven't you asked about what I have planned for your continent, and don't reply with that you know everything?" Agrona asked and I held my arms up at my side.
"Cause I don't give a fuck."
"Haha." Agrona laughed at my comment.
"I know you think of us Lessers as nothing but ants, doing whatever you want with them." I remember his line from the novel, not the whole line, but he asked Arthur if he cried when he killed an ant, comparing ants to Lessers. "I'm not going over your plan, you want control over Epheotus, or you want revenge, or both, what I don't understand, and will never, is why come after Dicathen and lose men?"
He was silent, thinking about what I had said. The thing was, I knew he would want to make Dicathen into a stronger continent, torturing people to create more mages, more Vritra bloods, but that would still take a while.
"Even if you breed us Dicatheons, you'll still need countless years to reach your goal, and we both know you have the force already to do some damage to the asuras if you play it correctly."
"Tch." He made a noise. "I have my reasons."
"No shit." I said.
"Give me your proposal, it's time for me to take my leave."
"Hold on." I held my finger up. "One second, why not kill us? I know you needed Arthur for a while, but now that the war has started, you could have easily killed us and been done with it. If you did that, taking Dicathen would be a stroll in the park."
Sylvie's eyes examined me. "Do you know who your brother really is? What he did to people?" Wait, was he trying to see if I would betray Arthur if I knew about his past? What a monster, but brilliant.
"You mean King Grey?" I was smirking at him; I would never betray Arthur. "Listen, I could careless who he was, do you have any idea what I have done, how many people I killed, tortured, brutally beat to death, come on, I may have more blood on my hands than him."
"Possibly, but it's good to know he told you about his past." Agrona said to me. "Brothers and families shouldn't have secrets."
"But they do." I added to his statement. "Alright, you ready for my proposal?" He nodded his head, or her head, I don't know to be honest. "I want you to give up on trying to capture Dicathen."
"Pft, what kind of ridiculous deal is that? I should have seen that coming from a Lesser like you." He shook his head. "Where in that is there a deal?"
"You didn't let me finish dickhead." I told Agrona. "Give up on trying to capture Dicathen, or else." I paused, and then said. "There, now I am finished."
He looked at me in confusion. "Or else what? You really think a threat like that would scare me?"
"The threat isn't, or else, I have a real threat, and you don't want to hear it." I stood up off the desk and paced in front of him. "Oh, and I'll add something of more value, I'll aid you in your battle against Kezess."
"One Lesser is meaningless, but what threat is it you think I don't want to hear; I am truly curious, what threat does the Devil of Dicathen pose to me?"
I shrugged and said four words. "I'll kill Tessia Eralith."
Sylvie's eyes widened, and he spoke. "What?"
"I'll kill Tessia Eralith, the Legacy, your ultimate weapon, your masterpiece, I'll kill her." I had no emotion on my face, looking at him deadpan. "Give up, or I'll kill her."
Agrona was speechless, not knowing how to respond. "You wouldn't." I looked at him with a smile. "You would become an enemy to everyone, even your family." Agrona got serious, speaking very angry now. "You think I believe you have the balls to do that?"
"You're the one who gave me these enormous balls!" I said aggressively, then froze. "Wait, I take that back, that came out wrong, you gave me the corrupted Beast Will, you want to see fucking crazy, I'll give you fucking crazy, I'll become an enemy to all three continents, and kill both Kezess and you, don't test me."
He shook his head. "You're crazy, not stupid, I don't understand how you possibly can know about the Legacy, but you know, and care too much about your family, you Lessers don't have what it takes to make the hard decisions."
"We'll see."
"We will." Agrona glared toward me. "That's if you don't get captured first." Sylvie's body fell to the side, her head landing on my pillow, she was passed out on my bed.
That was fun.
