Chapter 195: Clear

My Beginning After the EndWords: 11734

I had crazy eyes at the moment, my eyes twitching like crazy as the blood of my enemies was my weapon, and it also covered me from head to toe. An ax came for chest, I kicked the female soldier to the ground, spun, took the life of another sword wielder that had wind mana surrounding his blade.

The blood surrounding me deflected spells that were directed toward me, I conjured an ice spear into the female soldier's base of her skull, killing her right there on the spot. "Haha." I laughed as I kept on going, killing more, and more.

I vanished and appeared next to Sylvie who was having trouble with shield and spear users around her. I was below her neck and disrupted the cores of all the enemies within a twenty yard radius, then brought ice spears up into their chest, leaving their bodies hanging on them.

There was now no one near us at the moment, no one alive I mean, the soldiers were running at us. I felt Sylvie start to change her form, she went into her human form by my side as spells were launched at us.

"Stop, you lost control." Sylvie said as she got close to me, placing a hand on my face. A mana barrier formed around us, it was Sylvie's magic, and it deflected the attacks away. "Stay with me, Veer."

I felt my twitching eyes settle as I looked into her eyes, my mind returning. "I'm sorry." I said, leaning my head against hers. "I'm sorry." I repeated myself. "I lied." The soldiers reached us as they made their way through the dangling soldiers I had on ice spears.

The blood around me, still floating, the mana barrier still protecting us. I wave my hand, causing the soldiers in the front to explode, killing them instantly, then pushed the blood from the explosion into the soldiers behind them, piercing their armor.

"Remember, they are soldiers following orders, stay calm, sane, do whatever you have to so that you don't lose control." Sylvie said, holding my hand as the enemy began to rush us again.

"I will." I told her, pulling away from her, mana arrows formed in front of me, and I surrounded Sylvie's spell with blood, ice, and wind, and then she shot them through the force as I deactivated their cores as well, so no shield could save anyone.

We stood side by side. "Go, I'll get your back." Sylvie assured me and added. "You can still give them hell, just control yourself."

I launched into the force, swinging my blade through the first man, impaling another with an ice spear, keeping myself sane by thinking of Sylvie, not on what I have to do. Arrows formed with Sylvie's magic started darting around me, killing the enemies I didn't get to.

I released the blood sword, letting it float around me, conjuring two ice daggers in my hands. I threw one in the eye socket of a soldier, spun slit the throat of another, conjured another dagger, placed it inside another soldier, and just started to go to town, killing them without trying to enjoy it so much, but I did a little still.

I could feel that our whole force was now on the ground, only one thousand and two hundred left, six hundred had already died, but then again, two thousand of them had died, leaving three thousand more.

A spear came for my face, I back stepped and leaned over, as the spear went over my head. I shot wind out of my feet, spinning around the spear, and placing the dagger into the man's throat. I threw the other, killing another soldier, the blood rain still ripping through them one by one.

I felt something come out from the ground and it tried to grip my ankle, but I froze the earth below me so it couldn't. That's when another corrosive arrow collided with my arm, getting past my blood shield, it entered, then exited the back of my arm, but where it touched, it started to burn, and even using blood magic to close the wounds, the burning effect lingered, hurting, making it hard to move my arm at all.

"Veer!" Sylvie shouted, but I waved it off, telling her to stay back, and that I was fine. I pushed past the pain, it was only my arm, slit the throat of another soldier, threw the dagger covered in blood through another, conjured two more, killed two more.

I need a bigger spell, blue fire appeared before me and I had it grow, more and more, pushing wind mana to the back of it, which will cause the fire to burn more with added oxygen. I kept on conjuring fire, and as I did that, I kept on fighting hand to hand, taking on as many as I could.

My ice dagger slit the throat of another, I launched at another, plunged one more into the chest of a female soldier, mana arrows raised around me, colliding with the enemies. I threw both daggers, killing two more, raised ice spear out of the ground, just like Uto does with his shadow magic, impaling countless soldiers, and that was when I released the gigantic fire ball above my head into the army.

Knowing that this spell, with fire and wind together was going to cause a massive explosion, backed up once again to Sylvie, conjured an ice wall between us and where the glowing ball of blue fire was about to hit.

I felt Sylvie grab the back of my cloak as the spell collided into their force, and as it did, the whole cavern shook from the power of the attack. It had to of killed over a hundred men, and severely wounded more. The ice wall fell as spells hit it, I sensed for my army on the other side, they seemed to be doing okay, but a lot of people were still dying. We numbered in the thousands now, they numbered close to three thousand still, a little below three thousand, but still had plenty of soldiers.

"How much longer can we do this?" Sylvie asked, and I might have been crazy when I said it, losing my mind slightly, but I felt fine.

"I'm good to keep going for a while." I told her, impaling the soldiers running at us on ice spears. Around us laid butchered bodies, some in pieces from me having them explode, ice spears grown from the ground with corpses dangling on them. It was a mess, but that mess is what made it hard for them to just come at us all together, they were forced into moving around the obstacles in their way.

I conjured two ice swords this time and launched myself into the soldiers closest as Sylvie continued to have my back, the pain I was feeling, was nothing I couldn't push past. I swung my blade through the chest of a soldier, deflect an attack, killed another, shot the blood surrounding my body outwards through more of them, they fell over instantly.

A sword came for my head, and a spear came for my back, I ignored the spear, deflected the sword, and a mana arrow killed the spearman, and I killed the swordsman. I raised more ice spears from the ground, killing more, pushed a wind current toward the force, knocking a couple of them backwards.

I disrupted the cores of anyone that was too close to me, so that was what gave me such an advantage in hand to hand, no matter the number of them, with my speed and magic, no one could keep up.

A sword with no magic on it came for my ribs, I swatted it down with my blade, then stuck the ice sword into his core, kicked his body of my blade, spun and killed another, countless spells appeared in the air, it looks like they gave up on trying to preserve their own men again.

Ice, fire, earth, wind, other elements came down on me, but it didn't matter, Sylvie formed a barrier above us, and I added a blood shield and ice wall as additional support. The spells shook the cavern, but only one got through the shield, and I dodged it with ease.

I swung my sword through another soldier, I needed to speed this up, I impaled another with an ice spear, shot fire, wind blades, water scythes, and blood bullets into the soldiers before me. I watched as my spells ripped through the enemy force. They couldn't do anything about it, they had no magic to protect themselves, they were still at my mercy, even if I was in control of myself.

Bodies fell, blood rose, weapons flew, screams were heard, it was carnage everywhere, it was a lovely sight, I wanted more, more carnage, more death. "Stay with me." Sylvie's words from earlier played in my mind, and I snapped out of it.

However, as I was coming back to myself, a bolt of energy got past my defense, hitting me in the chest, causing my body to go numb for a second, giving the guy to my right time to swing his sword at my head with wind aura behind it, but I had the blood explode out of him, killing him before he could kill me.

I regained myself, killed another soldier, shot a wind blade through another, deflect a blade, and that was when a blue barrier appeared in the cavern, over our head. "What's going on?" Sylvie said from behind me as she shot mana arrows into their army.

"Shit." I released my aura, causing the men around us to freeze in fear, then they died as I ripped their blood out of their bodies, manipulating the blood then into people nearby, killing more and more. "It's the shield array, it's meant to keep us in here so they can capture me."

Wait, if the shield array was on, my eyes widened as I searched for Callias's blood signature. "Why has it turned on now? The battle has been going on for a while now." Sylvie said, and my heartbeat quickened.

"Sylvie, come on." I flew up into the air, overlooking the carnage I had created. Sylvie followed me as we flew to where our force was, dodging attacks as they were sent at us. "Stay up here and get my back."

She nodded her head, and I fell to the ground, landing within the Alacryan force, spinning and killing multiple soldiers, shooting fire through them, having some explode, and then controlling the blood.

"Lance Virion is here!" A soldier from behind me said, as mana arrows, and regular arrows now were being sent into the Alacryans. "Victory is ours!" I sensed nine hundred men left on our side, and two thousand on theirs.

A man wielding a sword with fire surrounding it came into view as he killed a soldier. "Callias!" I shouted, and he turned to me.

"I dropped it!" He shouted, already knowing what I was going to ask him. I cut down another soldier as she shouted again. "Where you worried about me?!" He said jokingly as he continued to fight.

"I was." I said, causing more of the soldiers around me to explode into chunks, blood drenching all of us. Our two forces should equal out while I disrupted the cores of their soldiers, non mages on non mages, it worked better that way.

"Awww, how cute." Callias shouted as the battle continued to rage on, I shook my head, slightly annoyed by him. I stabbed my blade into another person, left it there as his body hit the ground, spun and killed another with the second blade.

I could feel Sylvie protecting me from above, but that's when it happened, I faced where Callias was fighting, and my eyes widened at the sight. "Nooo!" I screamed, erupting the blood out of the Alacryans within a thirty foot radius, killing maybe fifty at once.

On his knees with a corrosive arrow in his chest was Callias, the soldiers all across the battlefield froze in fear as my killing intent and aura exploded out of me. They regained themselves, and started running at our front line again, a soldier made it to me as I was walking towards the injured Callias, I started using blood magic to heal him as fast as I could. I gripped the soldier's throat that was running at me, my eyes starting to twitch once again, and in my hand against his throat an ice dagger formed, killing him instantly.

I killed another, and another, pushed one of my own men to the ground, and when I finally made it to Callias, it was too late. He sat there on his knees, his eyes were open, but he was not moving at all, that was because a second corrosive arrow was in him, but this one had hit his heart.

The anger in me grew, my aura darkened, my mind went blank with rage.

Callias was dead.
