I could feel the sense of power growing all around the school, the attack was starting. I had to go to the Disciplinary Committee, this was where they planned on starting. Kai was going to be setting up a force field to trap them all, and then attack them.
I was sitting in a room with Elijah, he felt like he needed to watch me when Arthur left. We were just sitting in silence. I stood up and made my way to the door. "Where are you going?" Elijah asked me as he stood up as well.
"Elijah, I'm going for a walk, I would prefer it if you didn't come with." I opened the door. "I'm on campus, you don't need to worry."
"What if Lucas comes for you?"
"You really think he would?"
"You heard Arthur, he attacked him in the hall with another student. They say he is part of the Cult that wants the elves and dwarves to leave." Elijah walked closer to me.
"I'll be fine, trust me." I turned away. "You know I can handle myself." I let the door close, that was probably the last time I would speak to Elijah, he'll become Nico soon if Draneeve gets his hands on him.
I quickly shot down the hall, I didn't care if anyone saw me using magic inside. I needed to get to the Disciplinary Committee as fast as possible. The students I passed as I used wind mana to increase my speed yelled at me, but I ignored them.
I just hope that I was in time, I got to the door and opened it. The Disciplinary Committee all turned to me; they were fine. Kai was working on some device, the shield most likely. "Veer." Claire smiled. "Do you want to train with us? Kai is setting up the mana barrier right now."
Kai turned to me, and his expression was plain, it didn't seem to bother him that I was here. I mean I did train here often. "Come join us." Prince Curtis waved to me.
"I'm just waiting for Doradrea to get here to activate it." Kai spoke, as he continued to mess with the device. Doradrea was a dwarven member of the Disciplinary Committee.
I drew my night black sword from my mana ring, held it tight in my hands and launched myself at Kai with the help of wind mana. Everyone's eyes went wide in surprise as I crossed their eyesight. Kai must have been suspicious of this because as I was traveling over to him, he activated the device and trapped the Disciplinary Committee and I in the mana barrier.
"What are you doing Veer?!" Claire shouted.
I just stared at Kai through the barrier, my eyes locked on his. "He's with the cult." I said coldly to them all. "He was planning on trapping you all in here, but I just changed his plan."
"What?!" Curtis and Claire said, as Theodore, another member of the Disciplinary Committee tried to break the barrier.
"How did you know?" Kai spoke to me with a smile on his face.
"I know everything." I told him simply.
"What is he talking about Kai?" Claire walked up to me.
"It's time things change back to normal around here." Kai smiled. "I'll just kill Doradrea myself when she comes in."
"Don't do this, Kai!" Claire pleaded.
"I thought that your brother would be the one to figure me out, but I'm not surprised that you did." Kai walked around the barrier to the door.
"This isn't funny, let us out!" Feyfey started to pound on the shield.
"Stop wasting mana." Kathyln spoke.
I acivated "Blood Oath."
"It's a shame Arthur isn't here, but that was the point." Kai started to move metal wires around. "The schools strongest fighters trapped in here, all that's left is the professors."
"Kai, you won't get away with this." Claire tightened her hand around her sword. "Curtis check the emergency switch."
"It's busted." I told them. "He's been planning this; you really think he would leave that there."
"Kai, I'm the prince, and I demand you let us go!" Prince Curtis demanded.
"I don't answer to you prince, I answer to the High Sovereign." Kai leaned against the wall that was next to the door.
I got closer to the outskirts of the barrier and whispered. "Agrona, you mean."
Kai's eyes went wide, and then he walked up and got closer to me. "How do you know that name?" We were eye to eye again.
I backed away and said out loud. "Like I told you before, I know everything."
Kai just stared at me as the door swung open and Doradrea came running in with mana resistance bands. I quickly dropped Kai to the ground using blood magic. "Doradrea! Stop Kai! He's with the Cult!" Claire shouted out orders from inside of the barrier.
"On it!" Doradrea without hesitating dropped the bands, and then covered herself with rocks. I had Kai stuck to the ground, but he used his metal elemental abilities to prevent Doradrea from getting close to him.
Kai shouted. "Get in here now!" And people in battle robes came rushing in and started to attack Doradrea. I let go of Kai as a hole in the barrier opened and more mages in battle robes came running in.
I launched myself at the first one who shot an earth slab at me, I coalesced my sword in fire and cut right through it. I then made my way to the caster and shot a fire ball at his chest. He couldn't block the attack and was sent flying out of the barrier. I could sense his blood flowing, so he was just knocked out cold.
I looked around as the Disciplinary Committee got in a fighting formation. "Veer! Get back here!" Claire shouted as she blocked an incoming sword.
I was standing in front of the other mages, there were about twenty of them in here with us. Two of them came for me, one had flaming hands and the other had a sword with water around it. I brought my sword up as I parried an attack from the water mage, then spun and swung my sword at the other.
The fire handed mage went to grab me and I quickly reacted by reaching down and grabbing his hand. "You are just a kid?!" He questioned why he was attacking me. As my hand was on his hand surrounded by fire I used "Absolute Zero" and froze it.
"Yeah!" I said as I shot wind into his gut knocking the wind out of him and his one hand was now covered in ice. The water mage swung his sword at me, I sidestepped away, and brought my sword to his chest. Water came off of his blade and deflected my attack.
The fire mage got back up to his feet with only one hand on fire now. The two of them slowly walked up to me again, as the barrier was now on my back, so I had no escape. "If you don't resist kid, we won't hurt you too badly."
"At the moment, I am the one being kind with not killing you, please don't make it more difficult." I told them with anger lanced in my voice.
"You think you could kill us?" The water mage laughed.
I learned how to hide my aura when I was two years old, I never once let it out, even while training. I released the the barrier I had on my aura, and I let it explode out of me. The two mages in front of me went wide eyed.
"Screw this." I said as I used a spell I never used in a battle before "Siren." A sound barrier formed over the three of us and I sent a high pitched noise into their ears. They fell over holding their hands on their ears. I walked up to them and sent a flaming fist reinforced with mana into each of their faces, knocking them unconscious.
Curtis got knocked to the ground and I could hear his sister Kathyln shout for him to get up. "Curtis get up!"
They were surrounded, three more mages came to me. "Listen kid, we need you to relax." The one in middle spoke, he had ice on his shoulders. He must be a deviant. I looked over at the two mages I took out. "That sound magic won't work again, we were watching, those idiots didn't reinforce their ears with mana."
I looked outside the barrier, Doradrea and Kai were fighting, I was surprised she was still keeping up with him. The Disciplinary Committee was holding the enemy back, that was until a blazing ball of fire collided with Theodore, sending him flying against the barrier surrounding us.
Lucas Wykes walked in. "You still haven't taken care of the Disciplinary Committee." He hissed, while his body was weirdly deformed. It looked like he was now a monster. He didn't seem to notice me.
"Take care of them, we'll take this brat!" The ice mage shouted, and Lucas tilted his head as he looked at me. I felt his aura of anger explode and his excitement rise.
"Bring him to me when you are done!" He demanded.
Theodore was still on the ground, Feyfey was helping him, while the others held off the mages.
The three mages surrounded me, as I watched Lucas attack them without mercy, launching fire spell after fire spell. The Disciplinary Committee wasn't going to be able to stop him. They backed up with each spell.
I launched myself at the ice mage and swung my sword at his chest as fast as I could, he couldn't keep up with my speed, my blade cut right into his chest. As I landed, I launched past the other two and went right for Lucas.
He turned and his eyes went wide as I swung my blade at him, but a flaming ghost hand caught me by the throat and started to choke me. "Look at you pathetic commoner thinking he could touch me." I started to gasp for air.
"Veer!" Claire shouted as she slid her sword into someones stomach.
"Let him go!" Curtis was pleading for my life.
Lucas tilted his head at me and smiled. "What would your brother do if I killed you?"
I gasped. "Kill you." Lucas got angrier.
"Veer! Hold on!" Claire shouted. I could see Kathyln and Feyfey looking at me in horror as they tried to help Theodore.
A device in Lucas's pocket went off and someone spoke up. "The target is here."
Lucas was still holding me up, the target was Tessia. "Hmm, if I had you and his beloved, the look on his face would be worth it all."
I turned my head slightly and could see everyone, Claire, Curtis and Kathyln were holding their own, but Feyfey was struggling the most. Theodore was knocked out and they were trying to protect him. Doradrea was laying on the ground bleeding with metal cords wrapped around her. I couldn't see Kai anymore; he was somewhere in here.
I was still gasping, so this was what a real battle felt like, anger and adrenaline started coursing through me as I smiled at Lucas. The two mages that I ran past stood behind me now, I guess it's time to stop holding back.
"Why are you smiling?" Lucas snarled at me and loosened the grip on my throat so I could speak.
"I don't know." I truly didn't.
"Let's go." Lucas started to walk away as he carried me by my throat with the fire hand. "We have to get your brother's girlfriend."
Kai appeared at the entrance of the barrier the mages created. "You have to help us capture the Disciplinary Committee first."
"Look at them, they are captured." Lucas ignored him.
"This is perfect." I said, and Lucas and Kai both looked at me confused.
I reached into Lucas's arm with blood magic and disrupted it. The hand around my throat disappeared, and I fell to my feet. I cracked my neck and set my sword ablaze with fire.
I looked at Lucas and Kai. "I couldn't ask for a better situation."
