(Three Months Later)
I stepped toward the horde of mana beasts running at me, and the blood I had in the air formed into little bullets. I pointed my hand at the horde, and the bullets shredded through them, killing each one with ease.
Callias swung his flaming sword and sliced through a Snarler. "Typical, you kill them all by yourself, this is getting real boring with you here." He joked, as the rest of the Snarlers came running at us. I only counted maybe thirty, so it wasn't a big deal at all.
It was only my team at the moment, Victoria, Samantha, Callias and me. I was being given more freedom, I could leave the Twin Horns, but was still in the same dungeon as them. I swung my blood sword at the five approaching, and my sword broke apart and little pieces of blood were shot and entered into the Snarler's throats.
Samantha and Victoria launched their water and earth spells, killing the ones in the back of the pack. There was blood all over the dungeon floor, so as the Snarlers were running at us, I brought up blood spears into each of their chests, ending the battle just as quickly as it started.
"Damn." Callias wiped the sweat from his forehead, and we all gathered together. "You've been giving these things hell ever since we got here, that blood sword is something else."
"Yeah, good job, Veer." Samantha smiled at me. "Do you sense any mutants?" We've been in this dungeon for a while, and I haven't sensed a powerful beast yet. I knew that the Alacryans didn't have a mutant in each one, so I was guessing there wasn't one here.
"No." I said calmly. "I don't think there's one here."
"I'm starting to agree with you." Victoria told me. "We've been here for over three months and haven't found anything."
I sensed a Snarler running at us from behind, and everyone quickly got into a fighting position, except for me. I simply shot a water scythe at it, and its head fell off of its body. "Yeah, I figured you do that." Callias shrugged, and relaxed. "Should we keep going, or head back, we'd already cleared two floors today."
"And yet I feel like I haven't even broken a sweat." Victoria laughed. "That's thanks to Veer I suppose, I say we push on, won't hurt anyone." I was down for that, I wanted to get out of here as fast as possible, and when we reach the bottom of the dungeon, we can leave.
"That's fine with me." Samantha agreed with her.
"I guess I can't refuse." Callias spun his sword around. "Veer?"
"I don't care." I started walking to the next tunnel, so we could kill more of the beast. I could already sense them. "There's only a hundred in the next cavern." I continued walking as they walked behind me.
Callias quickly caught up to me. "Are you good? You've been kind of cold lately."
"Yeah, I'm just getting bored of this place." I told him, as we entered the tunnel. I only had my blood spells activated, not my fire or wind, I didn't feel like using them. "Aren't you?" I wanted to find more Alacryans.
"Yeah." He laughed. "Hopefully, we clear this thing today or tomorrow." I couldn't hope for anything else. "I can already see the next cavern, that's weird." Callias pointed at the lights ahead of us.
I still only sensed Snarlers, so I doubted it was a trap. "We are probably just getting close to the final floor." Victoria spoke, and I felt everyone getting ready to attack. "Same formation, and Veer don't do anything so spectacular, stick to the plan in here."
"I know." A couple of times I ran in front of them and killed all the mana beast by myself.
"Let's go." Callias shouted, and ran on into the cavern, I followed, and the Snarlers turned to us, and started to approach us. "Veer, spear wall." Callias turned to me, and I waved my hand, summoning ice spears in the ground pointed at the Snarler running at us.
This was going to limit how many came at us at once, the first one got by and attacked Callias with its claws. The Snarler was cut down in seconds, and then three of them jumped over the spears, and at me.
I took hold of their blood inside of their bodies, and pulled it toward me, causing their bodies to explode. I spun and cut the head off of another one, sending it flying toward Callias, it hit his foot and he gave me a look of annoyance.
"Really? Keep your damage over there." He kicked the head at me as he killed another Snarler.
"Now, Veer." Victoria launched an earth spear at the horde, ripping through the ice spears, I pushed the spears out of the ground and into the air, impaling countless of them, some spears even had more than one Snarler on them.
"Damn!" Callias exclaimed. "Never gets old." I swung my blood sword, and blood ripped apart a Snarler in the distance. We were shredding through the horde, well, I was shredding through the horde.
"Let's clean up the rest." Victoria shot a spear, impaling a Snarler, and I walked up to five of them, and released my bloodlust. The beast froze, and just stared at me, unable to move at all. The mana beast all around me turned to me as well. I sensed maybe thirty one of them left. "I said nothing special." Victoria said seriously, then laughed. "Haha, fine, end it."
I formed wind under my feet, and lifted myself up into the air, so I could see every Snarler on the battlefield. I then gathered the blood on the ground, and it all came swarming to me, the beast all stopped their approach on my team, and stared up at me as the blood started to circle me.
The blood then stopped moving around me, and I aimed little needles of blood in all directions, wherever I sensed a Snarler, then I released them, and the beast fell one after another. It a matter of moments, the one hundred mana beast in this cavern became floor decorations. I felt a smile form under my mask as I floated back to the ground.
"Not an exciting dungeon run, but good job." Callias said, as everyone approached me. "Blood Rain, it really screws them up, I'm happy that spell won't ever be aimed at me." He squatted down with his sword in his hands.
"Same." Samantha put a hand on my shoulder. "Impressive as always." I removed the mask I was wearing and placed it back into my mana ring. I turned toward the next tunnel, knocking her hand off of me.
"What is it?" Victoria asked me. "Do you sense something?"
"Yeah." I felt excitement start to build up. "I think the final cavern is up ahead." I turned to them all. "I sense over five hundred mana beasts in there, and the cavern is much larger." I sighed out loud. "But there is no mutant, but it's definitely the end."
"Yes!" Callias said happily. "We can finally leave this dreaded place."
"Let's report this." Victoria looked at each of us. "We can't fight them by ourselves."
"We aren't going back." I told her. "We are here now, it's five hundred, let me go in first, and I'll clear them out, then you join in." I was with Callias, this place sucked. I started to gather the blood in this cavern from all the one hundred Snarlers we killed.
As the blood came to me, Callias spoke. "I'm with Veer here, it may be a bad idea, but let's be honest, if someone can kill five hundred Snarlers, or just shrink their numbers so we could join, it's Veer."
Victoria went silent, and she gave me a curious look. "I know you can do it, but I don't want to get in trouble for doing something we aren't suppose too."
"Come on, Victoria." Callias smiled. "We can leave this dungeon today, let's end it, and they won't be mad at Veer or you, if anything they'll be happy, we cleared this place." A shit ton of blood was currently floating around me, and Samantha was eyeing me up with a worried expression.
"Jeez." She spoke up. "There's so much blood there." Samantha just stared up in amazement. "I'm with them, Victoria, I think we should believe in Veer, and trust that we don't get in trouble."
"We can just tell them we didn't know it was the last floor." I told them all. "We won't get in any trouble, as long as we get out alive." I started walking the tunnel. "I'm going in anyways, even if you disagree."
"Wait." Victoria ordered, but I continued on. "Veer, hold up, you know you're supposed to listen to me."
"Well." Callias ran up to me and walked alongside me. "I'm with you partner." He smiled at me, and I sensed Samantha follow him.
"Dammit you guys." Vcitoria slowly joined us as we made our way through the tunnel, and I got ready to slaughter the five hundred mana beast ahead of us. "Veer, don't die, alright."
I was smiling under my mask, in the three months I've been here, all I've been is bored, and now I'm finally going to be able to let loose. "Just stay out of my way." The blood of my enemies followed me down the tunnel.
The three of them stayed back, as wind started to build up behind me. "You got this, bro." Callias shouted to me. "Leave some for us though." I turned back to him, and he was smiling at me.
"Good luck." Samantha waved, and Victoria was shaking her head with a grin on her face.
I faced the cavern, and with this much blood at my control, I could do pretty much anything. I was trying to figure out the best plan for dealing with the horde. I got it, this should deal with them.
It was better to do this, than running in guns a blazing, even if that's what I would rather do. I closed my eyes, and the Serpent was smiling down at me, most likely agreeing with my plan.
"What's he doing?" I heard Callias whisper, but with my blood magic, I had enhanced hearing. "Is he scared? I knew he was a baby this whole time."
"Shut up." Samantha told him. "He's probably just planning his attack."
"No, he's scared." I opened my eyes and faced him. Callias was holding a hand over his mouth, holding in a laugh. "Shit." He stood behind Samantha, and I shook my head, and shot myself out of the tunnel.
The blood followed me, and I flew up into the sky, overlooking the horde. In the middle was the AA Class Beast I sensed, but didn't tell them, because I knew Victoria wouldn't allow me to fight alone if there was a powerful beast with the horde.
