"Finally!" Someone exclaimed as we walked in. "We are on a timetable, Windsom, what took so long?" He did not look like an Asura, he was wearing shabby clothing and had a tired look to him. "Is this one of the so called saviors?"
Could this be???
"Wren, this is Virion Leywin." Windsom spoke his name, and I immediately realized who it was.
"Awe, what a strange looking thing." Wren started to examine me. "This boy and his brother are going to take down the Vritra?" He looked away from me, and back to Windsom. "I guess with his abilities it's possible."
"I'll set up the teleportation gate to take you to the cavern you'll be training him at, do what you need to now, while I set this up." Windsom took out a device and started messing around with buttons. I can't believe I'm in the presence of Wren, I didn't know what to do, but I knew his training with Arthur was brutal.
"Take off your clothes." He ordered, and I did as he said, stripping down to my boxers. I knew he took measurements of Arthur when they first started as well, so I didn't question it. "Alright, brat, show me your weapon."
"Which one?" I asked him. "I have my blood sword and my actual sword."
Wren gave me a confused look than spoke. "Your actual one." I nodded and pulled out my elven sword, and then handed it over to him. "Uhhh." He exclaimed, throwing the sword across the room. "You are not going to be able to defeat the Vritra with that thing."
I stared at my sword on the ground across the room. "You didn't have to throw it." I was a fan of that sword.
"I did." He answered me. "That sword is poorly made, jeez, I wish I could meet whoever made that thing." Wren reached into his pocket and gave me a look of disgust. "Hold out your pal." I did as he said and held my hand out with my palm pointed straight up. He pulled something out of his pocket, it looked like a rock. "This is Acclorite, since you're a Lesser, I'll explain it simply to you."
Before he could say another word, I realized what was going on, this is how Regis is born. Wait! Is he giving me a weapon? "Regis..." I mumbled under my breath.
"Regis?" Wren looked at me. "What the hell does that mean?"
"Sorry, nothing." I said as I covered my mouth with my other hand.
"This is Acclorite, I use it to grow weapons, and I have been instructed in making sure that your brother has a top tier weapon, but now, I've been instructed to make sure you have one as well." He pulled his arm back, and then shoved the stone into my hand, causing blood to splatter, but the stone disappeared, and the wound closed. "There, when that thing grows, it will be way better than that piece of shit you called a sword."
"It's ready." Windsom told us, and without hesitation, Wren stepped through the portal. I gave Windsom a confused look but followed behind Wren.
We ended up inside of a cavern in some dungeon somewhere in Dicathen, I didn't know which one for sure. It might have been the one we just cleared, but I didn't know for sure. "I'm interested in your blood magic, that's the only reason I've agreed to train you."
"Alright." I followed him as we stopped in the center of the cavern. I was messing with my palm, it stung a little, but I am excited for it now. I was going to get my own weapon like Regis, it's more like a bond.
"After hearing about what you can do, I came up with multiple ideas on what else you can do." Wren started to pace in front of me. "In theory, you should be able to read minds, forge blood, create clones, and so much more. Your potential is literally limitless, that's why I'm so fascinated by you." Create clones? Read minds?
"I tried reading minds, it doesn't work." I remember trying to do it, but it never worked.
"Hmm." Wren stopped and looked at me. "What if you placed your blood in them, creating some sort of hive mind, letting you control them unconsciously."
"I never tried to read someones mind with my own blood in them." That would take too much time to perform, what would be the point except for interrogations?
"We can't do that now, but I would like to see if that works." Wren squatted and closed his eyes. "Endless!" He exclaimed, then jumped up and looked at me. "I have the ability to create golems." He conjured a stone golem, and it appeared next to us. "The thing that makes me special is that I can forge the golems into anything." The stone golem turned into me, ashy brown hair that lies on my forehead, my brown eyes, my skinny but muscular looking body, and a cold look that stared deep into my soul. "I believe you can do the same thing."
"You think I can create golems?" I asked, confused on how that would be possible.
"Not golems, clones." I was lost, I didn't know where this was going. "I think you could create clones by using blood." Wren scratched his messy looking hair, and then went on. "You find blood, then form it into what you want, think about what you want the blood to look like, and then boom, a clone."
"It can't be that simple." I said plainly. "To be able to do that, would take tremendous amount of concentration, that's if it's possible."
"You don't trust me, a god to you, I know what I'm talking about." In what world did he know what he was talking about, I created this element. "You can do it, trust me, brat."
"I would love to stay, but I'll be on my way." Windsom interrupted us. "Wren, don't hurt him too badly."
Wren waved him away. "I won't, I'm more interested in unlocking more of his abilities." Windsom nodded and walked back through the teleportation gate. "It's just you and me for the next month or two, brat."
"It appears that way." I pulled out my tube of Snarler blood and activated "Blood Oath."
"A tube of blood, how strange of you to have." Wren gave me a concerned look. "I guess Lesser's have their hobbies."
"It's my sword, and I control blood, you don't think I carry some around with me?" I formed my blood sword and showed it to him. "I can basically form it into anything I want and control it on a molecular level."
I had the sword grow, then shrink, then liquify, and then finally reform. "Amazing." Wren approached me, and poked the blood sword, seeing that it was hard like a sword. "This is what I'm talking about, the powers you possess are endless." He got rid of the golem that looked like me and started pacing the cavern again.
Could Wren be the key to discovering new abilities, it seems like he has a lot of different ideas. Now, I don't know if they will work or not, but I am willing to try them with him. "I use this usually in battle."
"I hope so, that other sword was shit." Wren held his chin. "While I train you, we are going to discover what else you can do."
"Great." Was I going to be fighting golem armies like Arthur did.
"I'm supposed to teach you how to fight with a team, but we don't have time for that. I want to focus on increasing your skills with blood magic." I nodded my head. "That's how you've become popular, so let's not stray away from it, and make you stronger with it."
"When are you going to train my brother?" I asked him, curious about when that training starts.
"Who knows?" Wren exclaimed. "I'm more excited about training you, the Blood Deviant anyways."
I was extremely uncomfortable only wearing boxers. "May I put my clothes back on?"
"I need to examine your body while you perform spells, so no, you may not." I sighed as he continued. "We are going to start by having you take on an army of golems, okay?"
"Yeah, that's fine, but are you going to help me learn new abilities?" Wren started to back away from me.
"Of course, I need to see how your magic works first, and I still need to make sure your physically ready for the fights ahead." He stopped maybe twenty yards from me. "I know for a fact, that you can perform the blood clone technique I told you."
"I hope you are right." If I could create blood clones and illusions, it would give me even more ways to fight and deal with my opponents. "Do you have any other ideas?"
"Yes, but we will get to them in time, brat." I couldn't wait to hear them. "I still can't believe a child like you can control blood, that reminds me." He walked back up to me. "Can you control my blood?"
I felt for the blood inside of his body and tried to restrict his movements. "Since you are stronger than me, I can only control one limb at a time."
"I see, so once you hit white core, you will be given more control over the blood in my body?" Wren already understood what I meant, he was a genius among the Asuras, so it made sense. "We have to get you to white core then."
"That would be amazing." If Wren could get me to white core in the next two months, I would be exactly where I want to be for the war. "But didn't you just prevent that from happening for a while."
"Why do you say that?" Wren looked at me confused; I think he did at least.
"Doesn't this Acclorite need to consume my mana to grow?" I asked him, and he went silent. I didn't know the exact process on how Regis formed, but I knew it had to do with absorbing something.
"How the hell do you know that?" Wren got closer to my face. "I didn't tell you that, you're right, but how the hell would you, a Lesser, know how it works." He was staring into my eyes. "Now that I think about it, we won't be able to get you to white core with that in you, unless." Wren took a step back from me. "I was told by Aldir that you were able to use your blood magic to absorb mana at a faster rate, and you were able to jump into silver core because of it."
I shrugged. "Yeah, but Aldir told me to never do that again, it could hurt my core, like it did the first time." It left a burning sensation in my chest for a whole week, it was worth it though.
Wren sent me a smile. "You didn't have me with you last time." A stone throne rose out of the ground, and he sat down in front of me. "I could create something that helps you process the mana into your core and can keeps up with you."
"Is that possible?" If it was, that would mean I could reach far, far past white core. "Aren't you good at making weapons, not artifacts?"
"First, yes, I am a weapon specialist, but I would make a weapon that can do what we need." He crossed his legs, then gave me a look of concern. "You asked me if it's possible." Wren chuckled. "Hell, yeah it is, I can make anything, however, there is one issue."
"What's that?" He can't say that he can help me, then change his mind.
"If I do this, I'll be going against Lord Indrath himself." Wren was giving me a serious look. "They would never be able to know, is that understood?"
"Wait..." I paused and thought about Lord Indrath. Why would this be going against Lord Indrath. "What does Lord Indrath have to do with me and this ability?"
"I mean telling you now won't hurt anyone except us, so I might as well." Wren broke a piece of the throne and started molding it into something. "I'm assuming Aldir or Windsom told him about your ability to absorb mana at the fast rate you did, allowing you to jump into silver core. I'm sure they were all surprised by this, because even I find it incredibly impossible to believe, but here I am, standing in front of you."
"Okay, so what?" I waved my hand, showing I didn't understand.
"I think, the Dragons and Aldir, want to make sure you don't become a threat to them, but are powerful enough to defend Dicathen, that's why Windsom told me not to help you with that ability." I did scare them then, it makes sense, I can control blood, and in time, I could control theirs.
"How would we be able to keep that a secret?" I conjured a seat made out of ice and sat across from him. "I can't just show up, and be like, hey guys, I'm a white core now, look at me."
"I hope you don't do that." He told me. "That would be an issue, you are right, I'll figure it out, for now, let's start your physical training. I need to see you in action, go all out, end this as fast as you can, and of course, my golems won't have blood in them for you to use, so stick to eternal use only."
Wren smiled, then vanished into the ground, while sitting in the ice chair, a shit ton of golems made out of rocks formed around me.
"Really?" I said as I stood up and held my blood sword.
"Remember, don't hold back!" Wren shouted from somewhere.
For now, I'll trust in Wren, maybe he can actually help me.
I surrounded my body in blue flames, and I held my left hand out, and as I did, an ice sword appeared in it.
