I spun around, reformed my sword, and watched as a tiny amount of blood dripped down his chest plate. "See that, you bleed, just like me."

He glared at me with his scary ass red eyes. "Oh, I'm going to enjoy this!" Black spikes started to appear throughout the cavern, I could sense them before they did, but it was getting harder and harder to move around. "Keep on running, brat!"

Shit, fighting inside the cavern was not good, he definitely had an advantage, I needed to change that. As I was dodging the spikes, I formed needles of blood, and launched them at Uto.

He vanished and appeared right next to me throwing a punch at my face, I fell to the ground dodging the attack, and a spear was about to enter my back, but I froze it before it could grow. I jumped back to my feet, and swung my sword again, Uto, knowing how dangerous my sword was, conjured multiple spikes to block the attack, and moved away from me.

I kept on shooting blood needles at him, but he was able to dodge them as he danced around the cavern. I stood still as the spikes stopped, and I pulled the blood I shot back to me. Uto wasn't hurt at all and looked pleased to be fighting me.

I cracked my neck, if I was going to win, I needed to land a solid blow, and find a way to stop these spikes that can just grow and appear.

"Are those all your tricks?" Uto sneered at me. "I really hope not, it would be a real shame."

"Screw it." I said, launching myself at him, swinging my sword, and as he went to attack me, I disrupted his mana flow for a split second. Noticing the change in his power, Uto attempted to dodge my attack, but couldn't.

My blade extended, and entered his other shoulder, his magic returned, and he shot a spike right into my shoulder blade, going right through my cloak and armor. We both exchanged smiles, and I was right back on him, ignoring the pain in my arm.

Uto grew some sort of weapon out of his palm and swung it at me. I ducked to the ground, rolled out of the way of a spike, then used wind magic to get back to my feet, and swing my blade at his head.

I was met with air, as Uto flew up, and overlooked the cavern floor. "Oh, can't the little pup fly?" He spoke with such arrogance, it was annoying. "This is going to hurt tremendously, but you'll live."

I froze the ground under my feet, expanding the ice five yards in every direction, not allowing him to do grow any spikes, as I would just freeze them before they managed to puncture through the ice.

"Are you that scared to fight this Lesser, that you need to fly up there?" I taunted him. "I thought that Uto was a big tough guy." He held his lengthy arms out and stared down at me.

"Ha." Uto laughed, and spikes broke through the ice under me, I jumped into the air using wind magic, and looked down to see that every square inch of the cavern floor was covered with seven foot black spikes. "Look at that." He looked down, and then at me. "It would be a shame to fall into that."

"Yeah, it would." I smiled back at him, as I tried to hold myself up, pushing wind out from everywhere to stay stable. This really wasn't looking good; I aimed more needles made out of blood at him and shot them.

With my eyes, I could predict what Uto was going to do, but he was so fast, it canceled out. He appeared in front of me and looked down at me with a grin. "It's over." He swung his weapon down at me, trying to stay upright using wind magic in the air, I shot myself onto Uto, grabbing his armor with one hand, and swung my sword with the other. "Get off me!"

I froze a spike growing between us, as I tried to slide my sword into his chest. I removed his mana again for a split second, and we both started to fall to the ground where the spikes were. My sword just barely entered his chest, as he kicked me off him, and started to fly again. I pushed ice under my feet and created a small platform on the spikes for me to stand on.

I couldn't take a step or anything, but it made it, so I didn't have to use wind magic constantly. I started to send blood needles, ice spears, water scythes, fire balls, and wind blades all at him, trying to land a hit.

However, nothing was able to hit him, his speed was on a whole other level, and his injuries are already healed. We both knew who was winning this battle at the moment, but I didn't care, this only had one possible outcome.

"Haha." I laughed as Uto kept on dodging my rampage of attacks, alright, this was all going to come down to timing, otherwise I'll fall into the spikes. I looked up and saw a spike coming down from the ceiling at me.

Well, no time to think about it, I vanished and appeared at the end of my spells, right in front of Uto, and smashed right into him, sending him into the wall. I stood on the wall, using wind magic to constantly push me, and swung my sword at his head.

In shock, Uto grew spikes out of the wall, and directly at me. I kept on swinging, and attempted to freeze the spikes before they reached me. He grabbed my wrist and stopped me from attacking. A spike breached through my ice spell and entered into my quad. Uto smiled in my face as we both didn't move.

I now had a spike in my shoulder and quad, this wasn't good at all. I released my wind magic, and as I fell, I disrupted his mana core, so he fell with me. In that split second, I drove my sword into his lower abdomen, puncturing his armor and flesh.

He flew back up, in a slight amount of pain, and I conjured another ice platform to stand on. "Haha, you have made this really entertaining for me, but I'm tired of getting these paper cuts."

I yawned as I removed the two spikes currently in me, and then healed my wounds using blood magic. "Shut up, you know it hurt." I sent a smile back up at him.

Uto shook his head. "There's just something about you, that I enjoy, it's like you wanted this fight to happen." He paused and gave me a curious glare. "You aren't anything like these other soldiers I've fought, you, a mere boy, haha."

"Ha." I laughed. "I knew our fight was inevitable, but I didn't suspect it to be this early." I used about half of my mana; I didn't know how much longer I could keep this up. "You know, you are going to die, maybe not today, or tomorrow, but eventually you will die."

"Your threats are meaningless, Lesser, I like that though, keeping the same energy the whole fight, even when it's over, reminds me of myself." I was all out of tricks, well, that's not true.

An idea popped into my mind, that could work, I needed to buy time though.

"It's over?" I titled my head. "I'm pretty sure I'm still standing."

"You're running on borrowed time; how much longer can you stay above my spikes? I've been nice enough not to just smash you, by growing spikes on every inch of the ceiling, so don't say that it's not over." Uto spoke with such confidence, even with a voice that made me want to scratch my ears out.

"Uto, all it takes is a little imagination, and anything can happen." The adrenaline in me started to make my eyes go crazy, I felt my pupils moving from side to side staring up at him. "You thought fighting here gave you an advantage, how wrong were you?"

"What do you mean?" Uto tilted his head and waved his arms around. "You truly are crazy, look around you, and say that again."

I shrugged, as I continued to concentrate. "Do I really have to say it again? I feel like that's a waste of time, right? I'll just say, I truly believe that." I deformed the sword in my hand, and the blood floated around me. I needed two more minutes, then this fight was going to change.

"Are you surrendering?" Uto's voice changed to one of surprise. "Don't do that, we were having so much fun."

"What makes you say that?" I asked him. "Oh, because my sword, I see, no I'm not." I turned my head towards one of the tunnels. "You know, with all the mana beast we killed, there was a lot of blood."

"So?" Uto flew closer to me. "Wait, what's that noise?"

"They don't call me a Blood Deviant for nothing." A tsunami of blood came rushing out of the two tunnels, and collided with the black spikes, breaking them down. "Now this, is my true power."

Uto stared down as the black spikes broke down, and I jumped down into the two foot deep blood. Spikes still littered the floor, but they weren't pointed upright, and you could stand on them. The space was limited, but it was better than fighting in the air. I pulled the blood from every dead corpse I could sense, and then I used the blood to break the spikes.

"Interesting." Uto's eyes were large, I think in excitement still. "However, it won't help you, I can just regrow new spikes."

"Oh, really? I didn't think about that, hold on, let me think of a new plan." I spoke with a sarcastic tone, then jumped up, and I let the blood expand to where I was standing, then solidified it, making it hard as I landed on it. "Now try, dickhead." I did feel bad, somewhere under here was Samantha's body, I'll have time to mourn later. "There aren't any shadows on the blood, so go ahead, grow spikes, let me see."

I could see his teeth as he looked down at me in anger. "You knew I could only grow spikes out of shadows this whole time?" I nodded nonchalantly. "And you still kept on fighting, remarkable, truly." He floated in the air still, most likely knowing if he touches the ground, I'll be able to attack him with it all. "If only you weren't a Lesser."

"Ehh, this Lesser is putting up a good fight against you, Uto." I started to project illusions all over the blood floor of myself, just looking up at him, not attacking. "Uto." We all spoke as he looked around with a smile. "You have the high ground, but that doesn't matter, cause the fact is, you are going to have to come down to me."

He nodded his head repeatedly. "Is that the truth?" A black spike shot out from the ceiling, and I sent out a blood spike from the ground, the two collided, but the blood spike broke the black one. I pulled the blood back to the ground. "How long can you do that though?" Spikes began to rain down on me, and I dodged each one, trying not to use a lot of mana, knowing that I couldn't do this forever. I canceled the illusion spell for the same reasons, I didn't have time or the mana to distract him like that.

I dodged the last one, and I was hit with a sudden presence of blood, coming from a living thing, heading here. I've felt this blood somewhere before, but whose is it?
