Chapter 316: Chapter 316 – Seeing the Fake Sanya

Yue Wuxin asked, “Are you okay?”

Su Jincheng shook his head, wishing to himself that she could leave soon.

“I’m fine. It’s just a headache! I probably got a cold!”

He then stood there in silence.

A cold? How did that happen?

She had no idea that he stayed in a tub of icy water for five hours last night.

“I’ll get some medicine for you then. Take some first, okay?”

Su Jincheng stared at her. Does she think I’ll dare ingest whatever she gives me now?

“I don’t need that. Please leave. I’ll be closing the door!”

Yue Wuxin quickly stopped him.

“Wait, Jincheng. I thought about what happened yesterday. Go ahead to look for Luo Qiqi. I’d also like to take some time to travel and since you’re my bodyguard, how about we travel together? I won’t do anything else to Luo Qiqi. Trust me on this, okay?”

Su Jincheng was surprised to hear this.

He watched her with suspicion. “You’re allowing me to meet Luo Qiqi? Weren’t you the one who said that I’m not allowed to meet her as long as I’m your bodyguard?”

Yue Wuxin shook her head. “That was in the past. Since you don’t have feelings for me and you also saved my life once, you don’t have to keep that promise anymore. Everything seems to be clear now that I’ve really thought about it. I’d like to go travelling for a bit. Let’s go look for Luo Qiqi, and you can have a proper conversation with her then. Let’s go together, okay?”

Su Jincheng contemplated this. It was unlikely that Yue Wuxin would be able to do anything with him around.

“Fine. Let’s leave after I recover from my cold! I’ve already taken some medicine so you don’t have to bring me any more!”

Yue Wuxin nodded and returned to her room.

Being healthy, Su Jincheng was able to recover extremely quickly and he was already as good as new by lunchtime.

They then left in the afternoon.

Su Jincheng was aware of Luo Qiqi’s location since he always asked her where she was when they spoke on the phone.

However, he didn’t tell Luo Qiqi that he was visiting because he wanted to give her a surprise.

Luo Qiqi was taking a vacation in Sanya, and Su Jincheng had already checked on which hotel and room she was staying in!

Su Jincheng and Yue Wuxin headed straight for the hotel upon arrival.

Yue Wuxin’s room was directly opposite Luo Qiqi’s, while Su Jincheng’s room was the one beside Luo Qiqi.

While Yue Wuxin was still thinking about whether she should knock on Luo Qiqi’s door to create some sort of misunderstanding, Su Jincheng had already made his move.

He called Luo Qiqi when he was still in his room.

Luo Qiqi just came out of the shower before she answered the phone.

Since they had just spoken not long ago, she said, “What? Why aren’t you protecting your boss in Russia? Why do you keep calling me!”

Su Jincheng smiled. “Who made you so upset? Let me teach him a lesson!”

“Well, I wouldn’t dare trouble you on that. You’re supposed to belong to somebody else now!”

“I smell jealousy in the air!”

“You just have a bad sense of smell!”

“Is that so!” Su Jincheng’s grin grew wider.

“Is this why you called? You called and asked me a thousand and one questions earlier, and now you’re just spouting nonsense. Don’t you have a job to do?”

Su Jincheng then coughed to clear his throat.

“I’m just bored. My dear Miss Luo Qiqi, can you tell me what you’re up to right now?”

Luo Qiqi took a sip of water before answering. “I just took a shower and I’m planning to go to the balcony to bask in the sun!”

Su Jincheng walked towards the balcony in his room as he said, “The sun in Sanya isn’t too bad!”

Luo Qiqi lay on the lounge chair in the balcony and said, “You’re not even in Sanya. How would you know? It’s raining here now, but the weather is still pretty hot!”

Su Jincheng looked up at the cloudless, blue sky. There was not even a drizzle.

“Is that so? Why do I see that it’s sunny in Sanya! Is it a fake Sanya I’m seeing?”

That surprised tone of his tickled Luo Qiqi.

“Told you you’re not in Sanya. Of course it’s a fake one!”

“How about you look up to your left!”

Luo Qiqi turned to her left, wondering why he would tell her that.

“Even if I turn to my left, there would be nothing...”

She stopped when she saw Su Jincheng standing at the balcony right beside hers.

What’s going on? Isn’t he supposed to be in Russia with Yue Wuxin? Why is he here?

Su Jincheng watched her with joy. “What? Is it raining very heavily in Sanya? Why is the weather so different when we’re only a wall apart?”

So he knew I was lying all this while.

Annoyed, she said, “Who knows if you’re really in Sanya. The weather there is different from what I see here!”

“You’re right. I’m in a totally different Sanya. May I invite Miss Luo to my room for a visit!”

“I’m not going! Why are you here? Aren’t you supposed to be with your owner? Did she allow you to go out on your own?”

“Qiqi, stop saying that she’s my owner. You’ll be my only owner. I’m just repaying a debt to Yue Wuxin, which is why I agreed to be her bodyguard for three years. I’m true to you!”

“Fine, fine, fine! Stop there!”

“So why are you here? Are you going to tell me that you’ve sent me a present and that you are the present itself?”

Su Jincheng smacked his own forehead at this. “What a good idea. Why didn’t I think of that? I should have stood at your door when I called and asked you to pick up a parcel!”

Luo Qiqi laughed.

“Come over then. I’ll sign off on the delivery!”

Su Jincheng looked at her. “Really?”

Luo Qiqi nodded. “Really. I don’t lie!”

She raised a brow at him. I’ll see how you enter if I don’t open the door later!

Luo Qiqi was extremely satisfied with her plan.

In fact, Luo Qiqi was overjoyed that Su Jincheng was here.

However, she couldn’t bring herself to show him how happy she was because she was still annoyed at him for not telling her the truth for two whole years!

Judging from that mischievous look on her face, Su Jincheng could already guess that Luo Qiqi must have wanted to play a trick on him.

Instead of knocking on her door, he decided to jump over the balcony railing into her balcony directly.

Luo Qiqi was rather surprised at this. She knew that he could have easily hopped over, but she didn’t expect him to really do that.

Su Jincheng then swept her up in an embrace.

Gosh, what’s up with this guy!

Back in the room, they caught up with each other and the conversation turned to The Dark Night.

The rivalry between The Dark Night and Sin Eliminators was already giving Luo Qiqi a major headache. She didn’t want Su Jincheng to return to The Dark Night if possible.

However, Su Jincheng told her that The Dark Night was something he would never give up on, and he refused to see the two organizations continue being at loggerheads with each other either.

He wanted to put The Dark Night back on the right track before leaving the organization.

He felt that it was because of him that The Dark Night turned into what it is today. Things might not have taken such a turn only if he had been more careful in the past.

Luo Qiqi understood his point of view and expressed her support. “I’ll help you take back The Dark Night and put it in the hands of those who are capable. We won’t let it become a tool for violence and we won’t let it be used as a weapon against Sin Eliminators either!”

Su Jincheng looked at Luo Qiqi with loving eyes as she continued, “Believe me, I’m no weakling. I’ll be with you for the entire journey!”
