Yue Wuxin turned to Song Xiaoxiao and asked, “You’re doing all this just because you found out I wasn’t your biological daughter? Did all these years mean nothing? Was all your love and kindness fake?”

“Stop! Don’t call me that. You’re not fit to call my name!”

Song Xiaoxiao then sat on the floor, disappointed with herself.

Su Jincheng walked up to Pedrov to release him from the shackles.

Standing up, Pedrov said, “Wuxin, you’ll always be my daughter. Don’t blame your mother for this. All of it is my fault. I’ve just been too busy over the years, and I didn’t spend enough time with the both of you. This is why something like that happened...”

Yue Wuxin couldn’t stop her tears from flowing. She took one last look at Song Xiaoxiao before turning to leave.

Luo Qiqi and Su Jincheng followed closely behind her in concern.

None of them had expected this.

The three of them walked aimlessly on the streets for the entire day.

When night fell, Yue Wuxin sat on a stone bench and stared into space. She had no idea what she could do and acted like a lifeless puppet.

Luo Qiqi tried to cheer her up as she suggested, “Wuxin, let’s go back to the hotel!”

Yue Wuxin looked up at her but shook her head. “Qiqi, you can go back with Jincheng first. I’d like to spend some time alone.”

Luo Qiqi was too worried about Yue Wuxin to leave her alone in her current mental state.

“Wuxin, how about we go back to the hotel first? You can spend time alone back at the hotel too!”

“The enclosed space will remind me of what happened. It’s nice here. I’ll just sit for a while.”

Luo Qiqi took a seat beside Yue Wuxin.

“I’ll stay with you, Wuxin. I know you’re upset, and my ears are open if you’d like to rant. I might be able to share the burden with you a little. Don’t bottle everything up like this!”

“There’s also something else I wanted to tell you guys. I know that Jincheng has been drawing up a plan to take back The Dark Night after our three-year agreement ends. I’ve also been collecting information on The Dark Night for the past two years. I hope the information is of use to you.”

She then took out her phone to send them the information.
