Chapter 331: Chapter 331 – Meeting Five Years Later

“That depends on whose presents are better!” Gu Yi’an teased.

Luo Qiqi replied with laughter, “Gu Yi’an, you’re a kid just like Lele!”

Gu Yi’an then said, “Well, that’s because I spend so much time with him!”

Gu Yi’an had been traveling all over the world on his own after faking his own death, and when he found out what happened to Luo Qiqi, he decided to stay and help take care of her.

When Luo Qiqi asked him if he would ever be able to accept anyone else into his heart, Gu Yi’an’s answer surprised her.

He said that although he was able to accept such a possibility in his head, his heart wouldn’t be able to do so.

How honest!

This made Luo Qiqi wonder if Gu Yi’an would ever meet Guan Zijue ever again. She heard from Xia Zi that Guan Zijue had never once thought about getting married in the past few years.

He didn’t seem to care about what others said about him either.

Guan Zijue was now a general in the military, and he had been placing all his focus on his career for the past few years, with no regard for anything else.

Luo Qiqi, Gu Yi’an and Su Jinyu arrived back at the Ye family home shortly after.

Mo Suqing and Ye Zhongjue were also there for a visit with their three children.

Xiaoliu and A’jiu were tweens now, and their youngest child was only a year older than Su Jinyu. The youngest boys were on very good terms since they were so similar in age.

Everyone had a good time catching up over a meal.

Luo Qiqi and Gu Yi’an stayed in the same apartment in A City, where everyone had their own individual rooms.

Gu Yi’an was the only one awake while the other two fell asleep due to jet lag. He stayed in the study for the entire day.

It was already past seven in the evening when Luo Qiqi woke up.

Gu Yi’an walked out of the study at this point and asked, “I’m going to the supermarket. Wanna come with Lele too?”

Excited, Luo Qiqi said, “Let’s go! I have to make sure you get the right ingredients!”

“Let’s go then.”

Luo Qiqi woke Su Jinyu and the three of them left for the supermarket.

Su Jinyu was so excited to be there that he went around picking up almost everything he saw while Luo Qiqi put back several of the items he took.

This annoyed Su Jinyu and he ran off to another aisle to pick out other items.

To his surprise, he saw Su Jincheng there.

He called out, “Uncle!”

Su Jincheng turned to see the little boy and smiled.

“Hey little guy, you’re shopping here too!”

Su Jinyu nodded excitedly before shaking his head.

“No, I’m just looking at things!”

“Why aren’t you buying anything?”

“Mummy says that these aren’t nutritious, so she doesn’t let me have them!”

Su Jinyu pouted as he spoke.

“I’ll buy them for you then!”

Su Jinyu nodded happily, as if he was hoping for Su Jincheng to say this.

Su Jinyu placed everything that Luo Qiqi put back into Su Jincheng’s shopping basket and headed for the cashier.

However, they heard an announcement before they could pay.

“If anyone has seen a young boy in a blue checkered shirt and black jeans, please take him to the front desk. His mother is looking for him. Thank you very much!”

Su Jincheng looked down at Su Jinyu and realized that the boy fit the description perfectly!

His parents must be worried sick by now!

“Hey little guy, let’s go look for your parents first. They must be very worried about you. Uncle will buy these after that and give them to you, okay?”

Su Jinyu nodded, aware that he had been gone for quite a while.

Gu Yi’an was looking for the boy in the supermarket while Luo Qiqi waited at the front desk, hoping for someone to take the boy there.

Just as she wanted to go searching for him on her own, she spotted a tiny figure running towards her.

She hugged Su Jinyu with tears in her eyes. “You’re so naughty, Lele! Why did you run off on your own! Mummy was so worried!”

“Mummy, I was with that Uncle I met in the airport. He’s the one who brought me here!”

He then pointed at Su Jincheng.

Luo Qiqi looked up, shocked to see that it was Su Jincheng!

Su Jincheng was already rooted to the spot the very moment he spotted her.

He never expected to meet her right here in A City like this after searching for her for five whole years.

The two of them stared at each other, unmoving.

Su Jinyu felt something amiss and asked, “Mummy, what are the both of you doing? Why isn’t anyone talking?”

She realized that Su Jincheng was that good-looking stranger her son talked about, and the man she saw at the airport earlier today was him as well.

Luo Qiqi suddenly felt guilty for avoiding him for the past few years.

“It’s nothing. Mummy’s thinking about something!”

Su Jincheng took steady steps towards Luo Qiqi.

He said, “Is that so! When have you become someone who likes to think about things so much!”

Luo Qiqi stuttered, “What does it matter… You… I… Who are you!”

Annoyed, Su Jincheng wanted to grab her and take her back home right this moment, but he turned gentle when he saw Su Jinyu in her arms.

He was no fool. He knew the boy was the baby they had together, and that Luo Qiqi had safely given birth to him!

Seeing how Su Jincheng looked at Su Jinyu, Luo Qiqi hugged her son tight. “Don’t even think about it.”

Su Jincheng smiled, but he heard another voice behind him before he could say anything else.

“Qiqi, Lele is back!”

Su Jincheng turned to see Gu Yi’an approach.

Both of them spoke at the same time.

In the end, the four of them sat around a table staring at one another.

Without any conversation, the atmosphere turned slightly awkward.

Luo Qiqi said, “Um… Say something! Let’s not just stare at one another like this!”

Su Jincheng watched Gu Yi’an like he was his archenemy. He was not happy about the fact that another man was staying with Luo Qiqi and her son.

He had no idea that Gu Yi’an only had feelings for Guan Zijue.

Su Jincheng had the impression that Gu Yi’an was a single, straight man who was now living under the same roof as his wife and his son, so it was perfectly natural for him to feel enmity towards Gu Yi’an.

No one seemed to react to what Luo Qiqi just said, so she coughed awkwardly and pretended to look away.

It was Su Jinyu who suddenly spoke. “Uncle, why are you looking at my Mummy like that? Have you fallen in love with her at first sight!”

Kids say nothing but the truth, and this made Luo Qiqi blush so badly that she wanted to hide herself.

Gu Yi’an then teased her on purpose, “Qiqi, there’s quite a bit of space under the table...”
