CHAPTER 29

SLIDE ; Y. CHISHIYA1,750 words~9 min read

SLIDE.

You took your hand off the gun and moved a few steps back. "I cannot bare to watch that fucking man even be in the presence of another woman."

"It'll be okay Y/n, I'll get back at him for you. Don't worry."

You muttered a thanks while running your hand off the zipper of your jacket. Even though you weren't fully paying attention to what people were saying, you were able to recognize Mira's voice. Then Niragi's, and Ann's.

Leaning over the edge, you tried to calm yourself down. You needed to think. Two hours and almost 60 people. The first person that came to your mind was Momoka. That's usually who the killer is in the movies that are basically the same as the situation that you were in now.

"Hey Chishiya, what are the odds that Momoka killed herself?" You asked him, staring at her corpse.

He stood to the left of you, looking over the railing. "Possibly."

While you looked down at everyone below, you weren't able to notice Chishiya who was looking at you. More like staring. He was admiring you. The doctor felt so lucky to be able to meet you. He thought that you were far too perfect for the world; far too perfect for anyone. Chishiya felt like he needed to protect you; or even better, keep you for himself.

Out of nowhere, Chishiya wrapped an arm around your waist and turned the both of you over so ya'll would be hidden behind the pillar. Your face was dusted with the smallest yet noticeable amount of pink.

"You didn't have to do that, you know. You really could've just warned me." You muttered to the person who stood in front of you.

He loved it when he was able to get you into these situations: nervous and flustered. "I promised myself that I would always protect you, now is no different. There was someone who was about to look up at this floor."

You nodded your hand in understanding. "Thank you."

The wholesome and warm feeling didn't last long. It was cut short when you both heard a body thud to the ground. The crowd let out several gasps and words of surprise.

Carefully, you peeked over the ivory colored railing. Last Boss had just killed a girl, and his excuse was that he found her annoying.

From where you stood, you were also able to notice Aguni walk out into the annex. "If someone here is the witch, then everyone in this room except me could be the witch. So, who here is the witch? Step forward."

He and the other members of the militant corps were able to instill enough fear into the crowd to get them to move away immediately when they were within a meter of their path.

Once the number 1 made it to the center of the room, he started speaking again. "If no one will admit it, then all of you will burn."

When you sat down against the solid railing, you noticed that Chishiya had already sat down. No words were exchanged before the sound of gunshots rapidly firming and the crowd screaming filled the entire lobby. The whole Beach was sent into panic.

Through the loud sounds of screaming and panic, you heard Niragi speak. "Comb through all of them, got that? No one escapes!"

The voice isn't loud enough for you to hear, but you were able to tell that one one tried to talk Niragi out of it. Obviously it ended with the sound of a bullet and his body thudding to the ground.

"Woo-hoo!" He cheered.

You pulled the handgun that you brought with you earlier and kept it by your side in case.

Chishiya was quick to notice. "You brought the gun, but did you even bring any spare or extra bullets in case?"

"Yeah, you can never have too many." The box of at least 25 extra bullets you had was thrown onto the ground in front of him.

Chishiya nodded, seeming pleased with the answer that you provided him with. "We probably won't even have to use one of the bullets. Since I'll be staying here for a while, you're going to be here with me for a while."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. I get it." You rolled your eyes. "Where do you want me to go when you have to do your thing though?"

He handed you back your extra pack of bullets. "Somewhere where there won't be anyone that could hurt you."

In the time that you two were sitting against the wall on the third floor, you noticed that everyone was busy scrambling around. The sounds of gunshots, bodies dropping, and screams were everywhere. Everyone was getting massacred.

Right outside the window, you could also see pairs of people picking up the dead bodies and throwing them into the fire under Aguni's orders.

"We're moving out." Chishiya got up and looked around.

The sounds of screams were all distant. No sounds of footsteps or guns either. There would be no better time than now to leave the third floor.

Your friend pulled out a small circular device out of his pocket and handed it to you. "Keep this with you. I need to keep track of your location."

"Alright.." You hesitantly took the electronic gadget and examined it careafuly.

"Don't even think about taking it off after you put it on. I'll know Y/n."

"You don't even need to keep tabs on where I am. It's not like I'm going to run away to god knows where after this game."

"Keep it with you."

"Yeah, yeah. Fine."

He gave you a goodbye wave and moved to where he needed to be. This left you standing on the third floor, not sure where to go. Staying inside the building wasn't really safe, but you really wanted to see what would happen if you threw Momoka into the fire. There's not really any harm that would be done if it turned out that she wasn't the witch. You looked over the railing once again and found no one there, unless you counted the dozen of dead bodies laying there. If you wanted to go down to the annex, you would have to wait for the militants to move all the bodies out first, or else you wouldn't be able to get there without being detected by people who were throwing out bodies.

The sound of footsteps approaching startled you. Judging by the different sounds of the footsteps, there were at least 3 other people now on the 3rd floor. They weren't rushed footsteps either, meaning that they were in no way normal members of the beach. The footsteps definitely belonged to the militants.

Your hand gripped tighter onto the handle of the gun as the sound of the footsteps grew louder. You knew that there were at least 6 bullets inside, and there were around 3-5 people.

'Shit. I need to move out of the corner before I get cornered.'

Crouching down, you slowly crept along the railing. You needed to be at least one hallway distance away from them, or even better, right across from them. After taking a misstep, the sound of you catching yourself before you fell alerted the other people who were on the floor.

'Bang.'

A gunshot hole was now on the wall a few feet behind you. There were 3 voices that spoke up, and they began to pick up the pace.

With no other choice, you stood up and located the group of militants. It was also then that you realized that you've been taught how to aim and shoot, but you never had to actually shoot a person. The closest thing to a human that you've shot was an animal, which meant that you had to imagine that the three males who stood across from you were some type of animal.

You placed your other hand on top of your dominant hand and your finger on the trigger. Taking in a deep breath, you pressed down onto the trigger as soon as the leader of the group pointed his gun at you. Having both hands on the handle was able to lessen the backfire and help you quickly hide and suck from any other incoming bullets. You heard the sound of the body falling and the several curses that came out of the other people's mouths. If you were able to hit where you intended, the person should be badly wounded. However, if you missed, the person would be dead for sure. You either hit right by the major artery, or you hit it. Either way, that one person should be out of commission for the time being.

It seemed like the other two people had split up. Whoever was approaching to your left was a lot faster, so you ran in that direction and stopped right around the corner. Surprisingly enough, they didn't notice you. Once they walked past the corner, they took a second to readjust their grip. That was the second that could possibly result in the loss of their life.

'Bang.'

You watched the gun fall out of his hand as he fell to the ground groaning in pain.

This left only one more person, and they were now only a few feet from the corner. You knew that you would feel really shitty for what you had to do next, but you didn't have much of a choice.

Moving behind the militant's body, you whispered a quick apology.

His friend turned the corner and shot at you, only for the bullets to go straight into the flesh of his comrade. The male who you held in front of you cried out in pain as each bullet pierced into his body. His voice was deafening, and it was just enough for his friend to drop his gun and run towards you with a knife held in his hand. He was seeking to avenge his friend; only determination filled his eyes.

You took this opportunity and threw his friend's corpse body at him, causing him to trip and fall forward. It gave you just enough time to shoot a bullet straight into one of his major arteries.

His body fell to the ground, head a few feet from where you stood. "I wish you and your friend a good time in the afterlife."
