The week of the first of November flew by. Jax stopped by with Gio quite a few times which was nice.
Alannah was back to her same self she was still in pain but she was back to normal.
It's now Monday the ninth and its getting closer and closer till James comes home.
"How many more days now?" I ask James as I sit on my freshly made bed.
"Sixteen days." He says doing whatever he was doing.
"I can't wait to see you James." Alannah squeals and he laughs.
"Me too." He says and I smile.
"We're going to have so much fun when you come back." Alannah squeals and he smiles. She's really excited.
"I can't wait for it." He says and she smiles widely.
"Your going on a date with Jax tonight aren't you?" He asks and I nod.
"Are you excited?" He asks and I shrug with a very wide smile.
"Text me and tell me how it goes." He says and I nod.
"Right im going to have to roll I've got practice in a bit." He says and I nod.
"Bye." Alannah and I say before ending the call.
"What do you want to do today?" I ask Alannah and she shrugs.
"Maybe we should make Nicole and David a cake to say thank you." I say and Alannah nods.
"Right let's go to the store and buy some things." I say standing up and she nods.
We head downstairs to the shoe closet and I put my shoes on before helping Alannah and then putting her coat on her.
We head out the front door and I lock the front door.
I take Alannah's hand and head to my car. A car honk causes me to look up.
Gio's car was driving past and we wave at him but can't see if he waves back because of his blacked out windows.
He stopped and did the window down.
"Good morning girls!" Gio shouts. We walk over to his car window and I pick Alannah up to see him.
"Hey Gio." I say and he smiles.
"Where you guys going?" Gio asks looking between us both smiling.
"Just to the store." I say and he nods.
"Well I'm going to see Jax but I'll see you later." He says and I nod and we walk back to my car.
I strap Alannah in her car seat. I make my way round to my seat and get in my seat.
I connect my phone to the aux and see I have 3 missed calls from an unknown number and a text from Jax.
Jax-Morning, what are you wearing tonight?
Lara- umm I dont know yet maybe a white dress with pinky colour flowers on it
Jax-okay, don't forget I'm picking you up at 5:30
Lara-alright see you then
I put some music on then head to the store.
We get to the store and half way there it had started raining so me and Alannah basically ran in.
We looked around for cake ingredients. We finally found them and brought them.
We ran to the car and I strapped Alannah in and put the bits in the trunk.
Once I got in the car Alannah laughs at how much the rain got me.
"I'm going to have to start wearing a coat." I say and she giggles and nods her head.
When we got back we ran back into the house.
I take Alannah's coat off and hang it up as we take our shoes off. I tie my hair into a messy bun before heading into the kitchen.
We get everything out before then making the cake.

By the time we had finished we were completely covered in flour and were laughing at each other. By 3:30 we went upstairs. I got Alannah out of her clothes and into the bath. I then got her in her pyjamas and braided her hair.
I then take my hair out of its messy bun. I blow dry it so its dry and then re straighten it. I then get changed into my dress before doing my makeup.
I finish my makeup and turn to Alannah and do a little spin. She claps her hands and giggles before we head back downstairs.
We decorated the cake and put it on the island in a box.
I put some shoes on and then sit at the island beside Alannah. I was sipping some water and talking to Alannah when the door opened.
"I'm home!" Nicole shouts.
"We're in the kitchen." I call and then footsteps head towards us.
"I arrived the same time as Jax." Nicole says and we look over to them both walking in.
I stand up and walk over to him.
"You look beautiful." He says kissing my cheek and I smile.
"These are for you." He says handing me some flowers.
"Awh thank you." I say admiring the flowers.
"I'll put them in water for you." Nicole says and I smile.
"Do I get a hug?" Alannah asks shyly which makes Jax smile.
"Of course you do." He says walking over and hugging her but not too tightly.
"Have fun." Alannah says smiling. I walk over and kiss her cheek.
"Be good for Nicole." I say and she nods.
"I love you." I say and she smiles before hugging me.
"I love you too." She says.
"See you later Jax." She says and waves at him. "See you later Alannah" he says.
We walk out of Nicole and David's house and head towards Jax's car.
He opens the car door for me which I climb into. He shuts the door and I do my seatbelt.
Jax gets into his seat and does his seatbelt before we head off.
"Where are we going?" I ask as we drive down a highway.
"We're going to a restaurant." He says and I turn and look out the window. I stare out the window looking at the buildings in the distance.
If you can get over how busy New York is, it's a really beautiful place, well like the skyscrapers and lights not so much the rats.
"How's Alannah's ribs?" Jax asks drawing my attention away from the window to him.
"Its getting better she still gets pain but it's not as bad." I say and he nods.
"I can't wait for it to heal so I can hug her tightly." I say and Jax chuckles.
We get to the restaurant and Jax opens my door for me to get out. I get out and thank him as he takes my hand in his as we walk to the door. Jax opens the door for me and we head in.
"Two for Ricci." Jax says and the waiter nods and takes us to a table.
We sit down opposite each other and pick up the menu whilst the waiter pours us some wine.
He kept smiling at me which I just ignored because I'm not trying to become like Jake tonight.
I ordered my food and then so did Jax before the waiter left.
This was the first time all evening I actually took in what Jax looked like. He was wearing a Dion blue suit without a tie and he just looked amazing.
"I like that colour on you." I admit and Jax meets my eyes and smiles.
"Thank you bella." He says and I smile slightly.
"So you never told me what you wanted to do with yourself once Alannah gets of age obviously." He says and I raise an eyebrow.
"And you never told me about your company." I point out and he laughs.
"Touche." He says taking a sip of his wine.
"I'll tell you if you tell me." I say resting my chin on my hands, he smiles and nods.
"Okay." He agrees making me smile.
"I wanted to be a therapist. I love listening about people's problems and wanting to help them." I say and he smiles.
"You have the most purest heart that I've ever see ." He says and I smile.
Really?
"What it's not like your a serial killer or friends with them." I say and he chuckles but it seems more like a nervous laugh then anything.
"Your turn." I say and he laughs.
"Technically it's not my buisness." He says and I roll my eyes playfully and he laughs again.
"Well my dad owns many hotels all over the place really. London, Dubai, Bora bora, Italy, LA, New York you name it. He also owns clubs all over the city." He says and I smile and take the tiniest sip of my drink.
"Impressive." I say and he just shrugs.
"Now tell me something I don't know about you." He says and I start to think.
"I think you know basically everything." I say and he laughs. "Ugh that means I've seen too much of you." I joke.
"That's a good thing because now I know a hundred percent you like me." He says and I look at him confused. Oh okay, cocky much? He's very sure in himself.
"You see you know I want you to be my girlfriend so I want to know will you." He asks and I laugh.
"What?" He asks burrowing his eyebrows.
"I can't tell if your joking or not." I say and stop laughing he raises an eyebrow and points to his face.
"I am not joking." He says and I smile.
"Hmm okay then." I say and he smiles widely.
"You know now James will come for you right." I tell him and he laughs.
"He's already warned me." Jax says and I laugh. Typical.
The waiter brings us our dinner and I hear Jax cough. I look up from my plate to him too see him staring at the waiter.
"Is this a date?" The waiter asks smiling at me.
"It is and if you carry on staring I might just get you fired." Jax says and the waiter nods.
"Is there anything else I can get for you guys?" He asks and I shake my head and Jax smiles.
"No thank you." Jax says and the waiter quickly scurries away.
"You know now we're dating your going to have to drink a lot more wine then that." He says.
"I'm only 19 it feels weird being able to drink alcohol in public." I admit and he laughs.
"You'll be fine nobody is going to ID you or arrest you now your with me." He says and I raise an eyebrow.
"You say that like you have some sort of authority." I say confused and he just shrugs.
All the way home me and Jax were just talking and laughing which was nice.
When we arrived back to Nicole and David's Jax opens the door for me to get out.
"Obrigado." I say and he raises an eyebrow.
"That's the one thing I forgot to mention, I fluent speak Portuguese." I say and he smiles.
"That's so cool." He says and I shrug.
He walks me up to the door where I thank him again for tonight.
"You know my family are going to want to meet you right." He says and I look at the floor.
"You don't have to just yet though." He says and I smile.
"Its not that I dont want to meet them it's just I always thought that you don't introduce your family until like so many months in or something." I admit and he shrugs.
"I've never had a girlfriend before only..." He trails off and coughs and I raise an eyebrow confused.
"It doesn't matter but I'll hold back." He says and I nod.
He kisses my cheek and I open the door.
"Goodnight." I say and he smiles.
"Goodnight." He says and I smile.
He quickly leans down and kisses me when someone clapping pulls us apart.
"Ooo la la." Alannah says and stops clapping.
Jax opens his arms and Alannah runs over to him and he picks her up.
"Let me tell you a secret." He says before whispering in her ear.
"No way." Alannah squeals and he nods laughing.
"Mama does this mean your gonna get married?" Alannah asks and I look between them confused. What the hell are they talking about?
"Maybe, who knows." Jax says and I smile at them slightly.
"Come on missy, its passed your bedtime." I say and she sighs. Jax hands her to me and we say goodbye again.
We walk in and I wave to Nicole and David.
"I'm just going to take her to bed." I say and they nod.
I take Alannah up to our room. She was already bathed and in her pyjamas so I take her into the bathroom and brush her teeth. I then gently put her on her side of the bed.
"So you and Jax are boyfriend and girlfriend." he says and I let out a laugh and nod.
"We are." I say and she smiles.
"This is so exciting." she says and I hold her hand.
She really is so cute.
"Its bed time narna you can be excited tomorrow." I say and she nods.
It didn't take long for Alannah to fall asleep.
Once Alannah fell asleep I go downstairs to the kitchen to get a drink.
"Hey how was your date?" Nicole asks and I smile.
"It was good." I say smiling widely.
"So where did you go?" She asks and I shrug.
"Some Italian restaurant, I can never pronounce the names of them." I say and she laughs.
"Jax asked me to be his girlfriend." I say and she stops cleaning and turns to me.
"About time, what did you say?" She asks and I smile. "Awh you said yes that's so cute." She says and hugs me.
"What's so cute?" David says walking into the kitchen.
I sit at the island sipping my glass of water when Nicole tells him.
"Oh." David says and Nicole elbows him and he plasters the most fakiest smile on his face.
"That's lovely sweetheart." He says and I smile.
"Have you told James?" He asks and I shake my head.
After finishing my glass of water I went into the living room and facetimed James.
"Hey how was it?" He asks and I smile widely.
"It was good." I say and he smiles.
"He asked me to be his girlfriend." I say and he smiles.
"I'm so happy for you Lara." He says and I smile.
After ages of talking with James I said goodnight and headed up to my room.
I sat at my desk and took my makeup off before going into the bathroom. I got into my pyjamas and put my hair in a messy bun. I then washed my face and brushed my teeth before heading into my room.
Alannah was fast to sleep when I got into bed. Her soft little snores were calming.
I hate when it comes to bed time because that's when my mind is no longer distracted. You'd think that now I'm away from that house I'd be able to sleep.
I just worry about Alannah the whole time. I swear my mind just does it on purpose. I lied there staring at the ceiling for what felt like hours.
When Alannah rolled over she cuddled into my arm making me smile. I know it's like comfort for her and when she can't find my arm she tends to freak out.
When I used to stay here on a school night, Alannah used to sleep in a cot. Nicole and David brought one for when we used to stay.
When I would struggle to sleep I would always find my self in James bed.
It was like my comfort.
It all happened after my dad left, I just didn't feel safe anymore. I knew James would do anything he could to help me and if that meant fighting of an intruder in the middle of the night then so be it.
I've always slept good when I slept beside James. It's like he fought away my sleep demons as well as my real life ones.
It took hours for me to fall to sleep tonight. The last time I checked my phone was 2:48 but I know I stayed up much later then that.
