My alarm rings at 8am like normal and I get up. Nicole knocks on my door before peeping her head in.
"Breakfast." She says and I nod.
I gently wake Alannah up but she must have been really tired because she wasn't having it.
"Don't make me tickle you." I say and she groans and sits up.
"So we have miss grumy pants today do we?" I say and she pouts.
"I am not grumpy." She says crossing her arms.
I put my arms up in defence before Alannah climbs into my arms.
She immediately puts her head in the crook of my neck and plays with my hair.
We get downstairs and everyone was sat at the dining table and to say everyone looked exhausted was an understatement.
I quickly mutter a, "good morning." before sitting down.
I sit Alannah on her seat and she groans and looks up at me.
"Eat up." I say and she sighs.
"This is unusual, a grumpy Alannah." David says and Nicole and I give him a look at him telling him to shut up.
"I'm not grumpy." Alannah says and starts crying.
She climbs into my lap and cries into my neck.
"You know I'm just going to take her back to bed." I say standing up.
I walk back to our room and lie Alannah back down on the bed.
She scoots over for me to get in beside her so that's what I do.
"What's wrong?" I ask her and wipe away some of her tears.
"I'm tired." She says I smile sympathetically.
"Go back to sleep bub." I say and kiss her forehead.
"Will you stay with me?" She asks and I nod.
"Of course I can." I say and put my arm around her.
She comes closer and places her head on my shoulder. She loses her hands in my hair but it didn't take long till she fell back to sleep.
James walks in and sits at the end of the bed and we just talk.
"Grandma Dee is staying till tomorrow." He tells me and I nod.
"Okay that's cool." I say and he nods.
"What are the plans for today?" He asks and I shrug.
"I know Alannah has a few things she wants to do today and tomorrow, so we'll just wait till she wakes up." I say and he nods.
When Alannah wakes up it was 10:30 and I had a full blown conversation with James.
I also text Jax a few times.
I take her hand and lead her down to the dinning room where our food was left untouched.
After breakfast I take Alannah up to our room. I make the bed before taking her into the bathroom.
I wash her face and brush her teeth. Once I had done that I got her dressed into some black jeans and a white top with a yellow cardigan.
Once Alannah was ready I take her hand and walk through the bathroom to James room.
James was sat at the end of his bed in some black jeans and one of his college hoodies.
"I'm going to get ready." I say and he nods and takes Alannah's hand.
I get out of the shower and head to my room.
I quickly get dressed into some light blue jeans. I put on a black long sleeve t-shirt and tuck it into my jeans. I then do my makeup.
I only put some concealer and mascara on and do my brows. I then go over my hair with the straighteners.
"Mama you look pretty." Alannah says skipping into the room holding James hand.
"Thank you bub." I say leaning down and kissing her.
"So what's our plans?" I ask Alannah.
"We're going to throw park now." She says and I get down on my knees in front of her so I'm the same height as her. She means Central Park in manhattan.
"Bub its freezing." I say and she shrugs. She runs downstairs and to the shoe closet.
"Wrap up warm." James jokes.
I head out to my car to and see that Alannah's car seat isn't in the car.
I furrow my eyebrows when I realise it's in Jax's car.
"We can't go." I say turning around to Alannah whose stood behind me.
"Why?" She asks and pouts.
"Jax still has your car seat." I say and her eyes turn glassy.
"I wanted to go to the park." She says and starts crying.
"I know." I say and pick her up.
We head back into the house and go into the living room.
"How about we make forts and have a movie day?" James asks and Alannah nods, wiping her tears.
"I'll go get the some snacks." I say grabbing my car keys.
"Be safe mommy." Alannah says hugging my legs.
"I will be I promise." I say leaning down and kissing her cheek quickly.
I get in my car and for the first time in the longest time I'm driving on my own. I can play my music without having to worry about it swearing and without Alannah complaining she doesn't know it.
I get to target and wander around. I stroll down the christmas isles just to be nosy.
I always loved christmas as a child. My mom worked every other christmas so the times me, my mom and my dad spent Christmas together was the happiest moments.
I finally get to the candy isle and pick up quite a few bags. I then pick up some chips before paying and getting back in the car.
When I get back I go into the living room where Grandma Dee was sat on the sofa.
"Where's Alannah and James?" I ask and she just shrugs.
I wander through the house and up to my room where they had now apparently already built the fort in the time I had been gone.
"You're finally here!" Alannah shouts and runs over to me.
"Wow this looks amazing. Where did you get all the fairy lights from?" I ask crawling in with all the snacks I brought.
"I found them in one of the closets." James says and I nod.
"Moana." Alannah squeals as James looks at some films to watch on his laptop.
"Moana it is." He says and Alannah smiles.

The day flew by. We had watched multiple films.
"Kids!" Nicole calls and James furrows his eyebrows and looks at his phone.
"Its dinner time." He says and we all crawl out of the fort and head downstairs.
After dinner Alannah wouldn't stop talking about the fort in our room.
But we decided to sit in the living room with Grandma Dee, David and Nicole.
We had been in that fort for over six hours so we were socialising from doing nothing all day though it did make us feel lazy and tired.
At 7pm I took Alannah up to the bathroom. I ran her a bath which she was extremely excited about.
She played with the bubbles for about fifteen minutes and I helped clean her.
Once she got out of the bath we brushed her teeth and got her into her pyjamas.
She then laid in bed and facetimed Jax.
"Oh it's you Gio." She says and sighs.
"Ouch." Gio says putting a hand on his heart and you can hear Jax laughing in the background.
"She wanted to say Goodnight to Jax." I tell him and she nods in agreement. "
Jax is driving a moment." He says turning the camera to show Jax driving.
"Another late night, look at you." Jax says and Alannah giggles.
"Your mom told me you slept in quite late this morning." He says and she nods.
"Yeah and I made this fort with James and then all of us watched films all day." She says.
"That's cool. Hey look, I'm driving. Although I would love to drive Gio off of this road I probably shouldn't. So I'm going to say goodbye and we'll talk tomorrow." Jax says focusing on the road.
"Okay good night Jax." She says and waves.
"Good night narna." He says and she ends the call.
"I can't wait to see Jax tomorrow." She says and I nod.
"Me too but for now get some sleep. The quicker you go to sleep the quicker you can see Jax." I say and she lies down and closes her eyes straight away. I let out a laugh and then kiss her cheek.
When she's fast asleep I head out to see James.
"Are you ready?" James asks as I go downstairs and I look at him confused.
"Ready for what?" I ask and he shrugs his shoulders. He then flashes a mischievous grin and takes my hand.
"Alright we're heading out now." James says grabbing his keys.
"Alright have fun." Nicole says and waves at us.
I get into James car and he smiles at me before we drive off.
He blasts music all the way to wherever we were going.
It took us about an hour till we arrived at central park.
I get out of the car and James signals for me to follow him. Which I do.
We end up by the ice rink and I turn to James.
"We have a slot from 9:15 to 10:15." He says and I look at him shocked.
"James I haven't ice skated since about four years ago." I say and he smiles at me.
"It'll be a laugh come on." He says and I smile and follow him.
We get on the ice and hold on to the railings straight away.
Ice skating has never been James strong sport. We went ice skating together once and it was the most funniest experience. He just kept falling over.
It took me between five and ten minutes to get used to the ice again. I then did a lap of the ice rink to get completely used to it.
By the time I had got back round to Jax he had moved about 13 inches.
"Come on your holding people up." I say putting my hands out for him.
"We tried this last time and it failed massively." He says and I laugh.
"You'll be fine now come on." I say and I hold out my hands for him.
He sighs and grabs hold of my hands and I skate backwards to support him.
"Slower." He demands and I roll my eyes. He's a big baby.
"Come on James you'll be fine." I say and he sighs.
I ended up dragging James around the rink multiple times quite slowly. I heard him squeal in fear multiple times. Which is extremely rare coming from a guy who gets tackled multiple times when he plays football. I found myself laughing at him multiple times.
I then started to wonder if Jax could skate and what it would be like if he was here. Would I have to drag him around or would we have races?
"Lara." James snaps causing me to snap out of my thoughts of Jax.
He was stood a couple of inches away and was wobbling. I quickly skate back a bit and grab his hand. We then continue to make our way around.
"Right now go." I shout telling James to skate to me. He wasn't that far away, maybe a couple of feet.
I was trying to teach him to skate so I wouldn't have to drag him around anymore. He sighs and pushes himself of the railing, a little too hard. I move out of the way so he doesn't skate into me. I quickly grab him and he spins before falling over. I start laughing finding the situation hilarious.
"Your such an idiot." I say still laughing at him.
A girl skates over to us and offers James a hand.
"Thank you." He says when she helps him up.
"Its okay, but are you okay?It looked like that fall hurt." She says and James scratches the back of his neck.
"Um it hurt a bit but I'll be fine when my friend stops laughing." He says and she looks at me and smiles I smile back at her.
"I'll leave you to it." I say tapping James shoulder before skating away.
"Wait Lara, atleast take me to the railing!" James shouts and I laugh.
I turn around to see the girl that I left him with helping him.
At 10:15 I get off of the ice and meet James.
He spent the last ten minutes with that girl which I thought was cute. Whereas I just skated around having fun not dragging James around.
"Have fun?" I ask James and he rolls his eyes.
"Lots." He says sarcastically.
Once we get back in the car we drive home but not before stopping and getting hot chocolates for the drive home.
"Have you and Jax slept together yet?" He blurts out and I look at him confused.
Where did that come from?
"Nope." I say wanting this conversation to end as quickly as it started.
"Do you think you'll lose it to him?" He asks and I sigh and look out the window. Why are we talking about this?
"Probably if things continue going the way its going." I admit resting my head on the glass.
Jax is amazing with both Alannah and I and I will definitely keep him for as long as I can. He's amazing, a lot better than who I thought he was when we first met.
"Awh my little baby is growing up." He says and I roll my eyes and laugh.
"You just need to text me if things happen and you want advice." He says and I nod just wanting him to stop talking.
We get back home and Grandma Dee, Nicole and David were sat in the living room although it was very close to midnight.
"How was it did you guys have fun?" Nicole asks.
"James basically cried." I say slumping down on the sofa.
"I did not." He whinges and I just laugh.
Around one in the morning I headed upstairs and got ready for bed.
I also facetimed Jax but he didn't answer so I tried to fall to sleep but it failed.
