I woke up with the urge to be sick and bolted it into the bathroom locking it behind me then started throwing up in the toilet.
"Lara are you okay?" Jax asks whilst knocking on the door.
"Fine." I shout back but then continue to throw up.
Once I had roughly cleaned myself up I unlocked the door and opened it and saw Jax leaning on the side of the wall.
"Jesus you scared me." I say putting a hand on my chest.
"Sorry." He says then picking me up as I feel like I was falling.
He placed me back on his bed and then moved the hair out of my face.
"You're on bed duty today." He says and I sigh.
"Come on Jax I'm fine." I say and be rolls his eyes.
"I need to call my dad." I say.
"Your dad knows. I called Marco and him last night and explained what happened after I found out what they'd given you. We're having a meeting later on what to do and how to strike back." Jax says and I sit up.
"So I have to join?" I ask and he sighs.
"What did I take anyway? I can't remember anything before waking up in that car with Matteo and Gio and even after that things became quiet blurry." I say sighing.
"Ecstasy, we don't know how long it was in your system before we got to you but when you woke up you weren't exactly high. You're body was trying to regect it all." He says and my eyes widen.
"What about Alannah?" I ask and he runs a hand down his face.
"She was just asleep and when the doctor checked her over last night he said she was completely fine." He says and I nod.
He places a soft kiss on my forehead before getting up and walking towards his closet. He comes back out in his gym clothes.
"Go back to sleep Lara, you're going to need it." He says and kisses my forehead again then heads out of the room.
I got out of bed after I decided I should probably check on Alannah.

"Lara. Lara." A voice repeats whilst shaking my body. My eyes flutter open and I was met straight away with Jax looking over me.
"Jesus christ." He says then pulls me into a hug.
He puts me back on the bed and then rings Gio and Matteo to come here.
They both walk in already dressed for the day and look from Jax to me.
"How you feeling sunshine?" Matteo asks making Gio laugh.
"I'm all better." I say and they both look at each other then look at Jax.
"I just came back from the gym to her on the floor unconscious, I need a doctor." He says and I roll my eyes.
"He's being dramatic I just fell and wanted to sleep on the floor." I say and they both laugh.
Matteo then starts to examine my face and puts the back of his hand on my head to take my temperature.
"You're hot." He says and I wink at him and get comfortable in the middle of Jax's bed.
"Have you ever slept on this bed before it's so comfortable?" I ask and he just laughs.
The door opens and I look past Matteo to see Alannah. She runs over to Jax. He picks her up and she finally sees me and smiles.
"Morning." She says smiling.
"Morning." I say back.
"Right Gio will take you for breakfast are you okay with that?" Jax asks Alannah and she nods.
He puts Alannah down and she then holds on to Gio's hand.
"Come on Vanni." She says and drags him out of the room.
"Whilst I have a shower. Watch her, we aren't leaving the house today." Jax says and looking from Matteo to me.
Once Jax gets in the shower Matteo sits at the desk in the room whilst I just lie on my side away from Matteo.
I was scared, severely scared. If Jax hadn't of gotten alerted last night who knows what would of happened. I can't even remember what happened till I woke up in the car. Who knows if something happened or something stupid and now I'm crying.
"Hey are you okay?" Matteo asks but I just ignore him.
He walks round to the side of the the bed and sighs.
"Hey what's wrong?" He asks and then I couldn't stop the tears from coming.
He kicked his shoes off and got in beside me and I put my head on his chest and just cried which didn't help my headache.
"What the fuck?" I hear Jax say but I wasn't in the mood for him to be angry so I just ignored it.
"Jax she's upset, she won't stop crying." Matteo says and I hear his closet door open so I had assumed he'd gone and continued to cry.
Before I knew it Jax leaned down on the side of the bed and held my hands in his.
"What's wrong?" He asks and I start crying even more.
"Stop crying Lara and talk to me." He says softly and gives my hand a gently squeeze but I shake my head no.
"Come on don't be like that, you know I'm here for you." He says and I take a deep breath.
"I can't remember anything and it's really annoying me, then my head is pounding and my body just hurts. Who knows what would've happened if you didn't come in time? I was so horrible to you and all you're doing is looking out for us." I say whilst crying.
He pulls me up so I was sat up and wiped away my tears.
"Stop crying, come on. I'll run you a bath okay. What you're feeling right now is going to change I promise it's just the drugs that are still in your system talking." He says then uses the pad of his thumb to wipe away the last couple of tears.
He helps me stand and then helps me into the bathroom. I sit on the edge of the tub whilst the hot water starts running.
"I'll uh leave you to it." Jax says after the bath had ran.
He walked over to the door and I was now dipping my feet in the bath.
"Jax wait will you stay with me?" I ask sliding in the bubble bath. He comes and sits at the edge of the bath whilst I lay there.
"Do you want to talk about it?" He asks and I glance up at him.
"I'm scared Jax. My life went from 0 to 100 in a night and I'm so scared. Ever since the night of the ball I've been living in dread and fear." I admit and he sighs.
"But I'm here now we'll talk about everything in the meeting. We're gonna keep you safe." He says and I nod.
"Why can't I stop crying?" I ask as he uses the pad of his thumb to wipe away the tears that cascaded down my face.
"You won't feel atleast not so confused and emotional till 24 hours after the event." He says softly and I nod.
Jax stayed with me and kept me smiling and made me just feel better. He helped me out and then gave me my clothes.
He stepped out of the bathroom for me to then get changed. I had been given my black nike leggings and a cream cropped jumper.
I head out of the bathroom to see Jax sat at the foot of his bed typing on his phone.
Once I had stepped out of the bathroom he looked up from his phone and smiled softly at me.
"Come on." He says and leads me out of the room and down the stairs.
"I'm telling you I've never seen him so soft with someone ever." We heard Matteo say as we near the dining room.
"You didn't see him before, it was disgusting." Gio says and I just glance up at Jax but he didn't seem bothered.
"Well I think it would be good for him." Amara says but once we step into the dining room they look up at us.
"Now now boys. Amara" Jax says as he takes me to my seat. Alannah jumps up and comes across to me straight away and gives me a hug.

For the majority of the day, me and Alannah spent the day in the gardens of the house. I wasn't feeling a hundred percent but come around 1pm I was feeling loads better.
Their garden was huge.
Me and Alannah were in the flower garden though. It was beautiful and had a bit of a maze. Alannah had chosen what flowers she thought were the prettiest and admiring them.
Once me and Jax had put Alannah to bed we went down to his office.
When we had gotten in there Gio, Matteo and another man was in there.
"Matteo give your seat to Lara." Jax says and I look between Matteo and Jax as Matteo stands.
"Matteo sit back down I'll stand honestly it's fine." I say and Jax looks at me with a stern look.
"You can't insist he gives up his chair for me Jax." I say as Jax takes a seat on the other side of the table.
"Actually I can, I'm his boss and you need to sit down. You've been running around the garden's all day and you're not even well enough to be doing that." He says and I roll my eyes.
"I'll have you know I'm feeling a lot better." I say and he stands up.
"Sit." He says pointing to his chair.
"Jax." I say in a warning tone but now he was looking quite strict and annoyed.
"You can't boss me around. I am not a dog. If I want to stand, I'll stand." I say crossing my arms over my chest and Jax just sighs and sits down.
"Suit yourself." He says sitting back down in his chair.
"Does anyone wanna give me a briefing before this call or...." I say looking between Jax and Gio as Jax types on his phone.
"You already know everything we do." Jax says and I sigh.
"Yeah come in." Jax shouts as someone knocks on the office door.
A maid came in carrying a chair. Jax walks over to her and thanks her before placing the chair inbetween his and Gio's.
"Please may you sit with us?" Jax asks and I smirk as I go and sit on the seat.
"Manners don't cost you anything." I tell him as the boys snicker at him.
Jax answers the factime call on his laptop and the three familiar faces pop up.
"Oh my god Lara are you okay?" My dad asks straight away and I nod.
"I'm all better now." I say and he nods and takes a breath of relief.
"We're glad to hear that." Marco says and I smile at him.
After Jax filled them in on everything he knew from the flight then they began to talk about their next moves.
"We have three men being tortured about it as we speak to find out some information, but they're being stubborn." He says and they nod.
"Well first things first we don't think there should be anymore travelling till this is all subsided." Carter says and I immediately look up from my hands.
"Wait what about me and Alannah?" I ask.
"You'll have to stay in New York till it's safe to come home." Dad says and I groan.
"I actually think that's pretty smart." Jax says and Gio then leads to agree with him.
"We need to be extra careful with shipments. Make sure the correct amount is there at all times." Matteo says and Jax agrees.
"I have a call with my father once this call ends. He's going to give in as much advice as he can. No doubt he'll want to personally take their heads off." Jax says and I swallow hard at the thought of all of this violence but I can't be a scared little girl anymore.

I had completely zoned out on their conversation as I tried to think as hard as I could back to yesterday and everything that had happened. Maybe if I rack my brains enough I'll find something to help me.
"Lara." Jax says putting his hand on my thigh making me look up.
"Hmm.." I say looking around and meet his eyes.
"As soon as we know something, we'll get on the phone to you straight away and inform you." Gio says as Jax looks at me with a worried expression.
After bidding our goodbyes Jax takes my hand and helps me upstairs to the spare room I was staying in. He said goodnight to me and left really.
I got ready for bed and lied in bed for a few and checked my phone.
At about 2am I decided I wasn't really going to get a lot of sleep. This room didn't really feel homely to me. It felt strange being in here to me. Everytime I have stayed at this house I've slept alongside Jax and I just can't sleep in this room.
I climbed out of my bed and made my way to the end of the corridor.
I peak into Alannah's room to see her sound asleep.
I then open the door to Jax's room to see him sat against the headboard of his bed just typing on his laptop.
He glances over to me and gives me a puzzled expression.
"I can't sleep." I say he puts his laptop on the unit beside his bed then opens the comforter beside him. I shut his bed room door and make my way into bed beside him.
"Are you not even gonna cuddle with me?" He asks making me laugh softly.
I place my head on his chest and he puts an arm around me whilst grabbing his laptop and putting it on his lower stomach. He then starts typing on his laptop and I watch as he replies to some emails.
By the time Jax had finished replying to his emails I was on the verge of falling to sleep.
As the lights turn off I snuggle against Jax's naked chest as he plays with my hair.
"I love you.'' He whispers as I fall to sleep.
