It was safe for us to go back to Jax's house now. We had been here for two days since we arrived. They hadn't found anything in the house, surprisingly.
Once I had gotten out of bed I put on Jax's t-shirt from the floor whilst I check on Alannah. It was nearly 7am they were both still asleep.
I had a quick shower and blow dried and straightened my hair before getting dressed. I put on some blue jeans with Jax's plain black hoodie before heading downstairs and making breakfast.
I decided on using the last of food that Jax had brought. I made some strawberry and chocolate breakfast cookies. I then put them on a plate and put them on the island along with some croissants, french toast and the last of the chocolate pop tarts out.
"It smells nice down here." Jax says wrapping his arms around my waist.
"What drink do you want?" I ask as he puts his head in the crook my of neck.
"I'll sort drinks out don't worry, why don't you go and wake Alannah up." He says stepping back I nod.
I head upstairs to where Alannah was sleeping and saw she was still fast to sleep.
Once I woke her up I pretty much took her downstairs straight away.
I carried her down because she was just so tired and it was evident on her face.
I sat her at the island where Jax handed Alannah some orange juice.
"Morning dad." Alannah greets whilst I sit beside her. I take a coffee from Jax as he goes to sit on the other side of Alannah.
After breakfast Jax washed the dishes whilst I packed them away. Alannah was just watching tv in the living room. Once the cleaning was done we head back upstairs. Jax goes into his room and gets washed and dressed whilst I head into Alannah's room.
I brush her teeth and clean her face before getting her dressed.
Once Alannah was dressed I sat her inbetween my legs to go her hair. I take out her braids then brush her gently to be careful not to take out her curls. I make sure everything was packed up before making her bed and going downstairs.
I cleaned up the last of Alannah's toys leaving two out for her to play with whilst we waited for Jax.
When Jax came back down he had a plain black suit that he has a million of and wears every single day.
"You ready?" Jax asks picking up Alannah's bag. "Yep." Alannah says jumping up.
Whilst Jax puts everything in the trunk of the car I plug Alannah in.
I sit in the passenger seat and give Alannah my phone to watch YouTube.
"Are you going straight to the office once we get there?" I ask as he concentrates on the road.
It had been quite a rainy day today but luckily the rain wasn't too bad.
"Yeah, once Alannah goes to bed we'll head to the warehouse." He says and I nod.
Once we get to the house a car pulled beside us in the garage, it was Gio, Amara and Matteo.
"Hey hey hey." Amara says once we get out of the car.
Alannah runs over to greet them as soon as I got her out of her car seat.
A few men come and take our bags in leaving us six just randomly standing in the garage. Gio had carried Alannah in as she told him about what she'd been up to the past few days.
We all head into the kitchen were we grab a drink before the boys headed into the office.
"Mom can we do something today?" Alannah asks whilst playing some game on my phone.
"Not today bub, I'll talk to your dad and find out when we can go out again." I say and she nods.
We spent the rest of the day just chilling really. After Jax and I had put Alannah to bed I stepped outside of her room.
"Can I wear this?" I ask and he looks down at my jeans and his oversized hoodie.
"Yeah, unless you have any meetings or anything." He says and I shake my head for no.
I put my shoes on and we get into his audi and Gio, Matteo and Rocco go in Gio's Jeep.
"So what are you going to do to him?" Jax asks drawing my eyes away from the windows.
"I have no idea." I say and he chuckles.
"Well we're obviously going to hurt him." Jax says making me laugh. Duh.
Once we get to the warehouse my door flings open to reveal that Matteo had opened it for me.
"Thank you." I say as he gives me his hand to take to get out of the car.
"Watch it Matteo." Jax says walking round to us.
"Just being a gentleman." Matteo says but he wouldn't let go of my hand.
Me and Gio make eye contact and start laughing once we noticed this but Jax didn't find it funny.
"Matt" Jax says making Matteo turn around.
"What?" He asks and Jax rolls his hand. "Let go of her fucking hand." Jax says holding my other hand.
"I don't know if I want to." Matteo says as we walk towards the door.
"Matteo I swear if you don't let go of her hand." Jax says as Rocco opens the door to the warehouse.
"Ugh so dramatic." Matteo says bringing his hand up to my mouth and placing a soft kiss to it leaving Gio and myself laughing. Jax goes to punch him so he quickly runs away.
We get into the office where I was sat on Jax's lap. There was a spare chair but Jax wouldn't let me out of his grip. I think it was for some sort of battle with Matteo.
"So what state is he in?" I ask as Jax logs on to the cameras on the laptop in front of him.
"New York?" Matteo says in a duh tone.
"I meant... don't worry." I shake my head.
"Considering I've been beating the shit out of him for the past 3 days, not a very good one." Rocco says making Jax scoff.
''How hurt is he?" Jax asks putting a hand around my waist.
"Pretty hurt, he hasn't eaten a thing since he got here either. We decided to feed him every 4 days, but only the bare minimum." Rocco says and I nod.
"So, Lara what are you going to do to him?" Rocco asks making everyone look at me.
"I have no clue, I'm up for suggestions though." I say and they all start talking all at once saying things I haven't even heard off.
"Do you understand what they're saying?" I ask Jax as he looks up from his laptop.
"Not a clue." He says then shouts for them to shut up.
Once I'd listened to a few of their suggestions all five of us head to the basement.
Dmitri had dead bodies surrounding him. Many of which were his and his mens wives. It was quite sick actually but he sort of deserved it.
"I see you've finally come to join the show." Dmitri says and Rocco just punches him across the face.
"Not barking orders anymore? Maybe it's for the best, you are only a women." Dmitri says.
Why does he always have to bring up my gender?
Before Jax could react I punch him in the face, right in his already broken nose.
"You bitch." Dmitri says making me scoff.
"Shut up Dmitri no one wants to hear it." Gio says.
Dmitri starts to pull on the chains that were tying him up.
"Now I wonder where we'll go from here." Jax says and I scoff.
"Now Dmitri doesn't have a true blood heir because they're all dead and he is the last of the pot. Now there will be no more Russian mafia." I say and pout ar Dmitri causing him to roll his eyes.
"You know when I first met Carter he was so different, so head strong. Then when I killed his mother, you should've seen the look on his face. He also begged me not to hurt you, poor boy. I had to tell him about that time at the ice cream store when Igor nearly had his way with you. He was heartbroken. Almost as heartbroken as when I told him that you had gotten back together with Jax." He says.
What the fuck if wrong with him?
"You're a horrible person." I say inbetween punching him. "He was a good man." I say as I continue punching him. "As for Arabella and Claudia. They were completely innocent, just like Alannah. There was no need to get them in your pathetic mess." I say standing back as he spits out some blood.
"It's your fault. The second you met or whatever, you were screwing up a life long alliance because you're a stupid kid in love. You're a child! You'll soon find out it isn't real." He says earning another punch in the face.
I should stop punching him in the face and give him some real harm.
"No. You're immature and can't handle the fact a new alliance was created even though it had nothing to do with you." I say and he scoffs before spitting blood at me. This earned him a punch from Jax.
"I don't care if you kill me, torture me. Do whatever to me. But what you still don't understand is that you're a women. You won't be respected by anyone other than these man and their mafia Lara. Killing me isn't going to make you stronger in anyone else's eyes." Rocco had now stepped forward and brought a lighter out and placed the fire under his chin. This caused Dmitri to scream as he was being set on fire.
"You're the only man that won't bow to a women. Every single man knows that women are the better sex. The fact you chose to go up against Lara makes you an idiot. She's a smart girl and she will never need Jax nor will she need her Brazilian mafia behind her." Rocco she before punching him in the nose again making ten times as much blood pump our of his nose.
I've hardly spoke to Rocco he's saved my ass twice and he seems like a nice person. Weird, considering he doesn't sleep and is out like all the time.
He does have his days where he seems mean and scary but mostly he seems quite nice. It's funny how a few weeks ago he said something like this would happen and is now sticking up for me.
He takes a step back and gives me a slight nod whilst I just just give him a thankful smile.
"Watch out Jax, looks like Lara has an admirer." Dmitri says and that was the final hit he took from me before he was knocked out.
"How old is he?" I ask looking up at Jax and Rocco copied my actions except he could meet Jax's eyes.
"43." Jax says and I scoff.
"Should act like it." I mutter.
We all wait for a while down there for Dmitri to wake back up. Jax had a few questions to ask Dmitri still but wanted me to get my anger out first.
When Dmitri started to take forever to wake up Rocco dragged knives down his arms cutting him as he does so.
Dmitri awoke with wide eyes and started looking around then groaned.
"Now it's question time." Jax says whilst giving me a chair to sit on. I thank him and take a seat whilst Jax starts questioning.
"Whose taking over from you." Jax asks and he rolls his eyes.
"You're not getting out Dmitri so you may as well tell us." Gio says and he sighs.
"Alexei" Dmitri says and Jax nods.
After a few more questions Jax turns back to look at me before whispering to Dmitri but my hand was starting to hurt now.
Dmitri whispers something back which clearly angers Jax. Jax reaches for his pocket and pulls out a knife. He pulls Dmitri's hair back and slides the knife down the side of his face.
He stands back and Dmitri just laughs.
"Touchy subject is it?" Dmitri says then looks behind Jax to me.
"Its nearly a year since you were down here yourself. Not many people know about you being down here. But I do. I know all about how many men were sent down here to hurt you."
"He's lying." Gio says and I sigh.
"I'm not. You claim I'm the bad guy but Jax was in love with you when you were tied up down here. Now you're just a stupid girl who got back with the man who gave the order to hurt not only you but Alannah as well." Dmitri says and I can feel my anger rising, I have no clue how he knows about this.
"Watch your tongue Dmitri, I can easily take it off." Jax says making Dmitri scoff.
"First time I haven't heard you bite back Lara." He says and Jax goes to take a step forward but I hold him back.
I stand up making Dmitri look up at me.
"Things have changed Dmitri." I say and he scoffs.
"Oh yes Jax deserves all the redemption because he helped save your daughter." He says rolling his eyes.
"I met you when you were pregnant, I don't know if you remember that. You were only little, 15." He says and I sigh.
"I do remember." I say and he smiles.
"You were such a polite sweet little girl." He says and I sigh.
"What's your point?" I ask and he scoffs. "
You would've let these men walk over you then. But now, you're stronger. Don't be stupid Lara, you still get scared when he raises his voice I can see it." Dmitri says and I scoff.
"Don't be like your mother, otherwise you'll get yourself killed just like she did." He says and I punch him in the head knocking him out before heading back upstairs and waiting outside Jax and Gio's office.
Now my mother, she was a touchy subject.
Matteo and Rocco had come over and let me in the office. I sat down in a chair and was just look at my hand that was now really hurting.
I have no clue what Dmitri is on about because I'm definitely not scared of Jax. I mean yeah definitely if I hear him shout, I'll flinch. I've always been that way and he knows that.
I definitely am not letting these men walk all over me either. I have no clue what Dmiti is on about or where he got his facts but he's wrong.
Jax and Gio walked in and it just got more uncomfortable. Jax had sat opposite now and I could feel his eyes on me.
"Could one of you get Lara an ice pack please." Jax says before opening his laptop. All three men ran to the door to go leaving me extremely confused.
It was definitely the vibe in here.
"Are you actually scared of me?" Jax asks and I sigh.
"Of course I'm not, he's just trying to get to your head." I say and Jax moves from his seat to sit in Matteo's seat at my side.
He picks up my hand that was hurting and examines it.
"I don't think it's broken." He says but I still couldn't bear to look him in the eye.
"It doesn't hurt that much." I lie. I'm a liar. A terrible liar and Jax knows it.
"Don't lie to me." He says .
He brings my hand up to his mouth and places a gentle kiss to it.
"You know if I could go back and change thin--"
"I know." I say and he sighs.
"I love you." He says placing a kiss on my hand again.
The door flings open and all three boys were pushing each other out of the way. The three of them stand in a line with ice packs in their hand making me laugh.
"We only needed one." Jax says reaching out and grabbing the ice pack that Rocco was holding.
"Haha suck it." Rocco says and sits down in his seat whilst the boys sigh and take their ice packs back.
Jax holds the ice pack on my hand gently.
"Its cold." I say trying to take my hand away.
"That's the point." He laughs.
"Hey Rocco will you look at her hand." Jax asks moving out of the way.
Rocco takes the ice pack of my hand and examines it.
"He's just being dramatic it doesn't hurt that bad." I say to Rocco.
"Looks fine, probably just some bruising." He says and I nod and thank him.
"Was that your first time punching someone?" He asks and I nod.
"James always used to fight for me then I've always been the type to slap, not punch." I admit and he chuckles.
"You had a good throw for your first time, I wouldn't like to be on the receiving end of that." He says making me smile
"Thank you." I say to him and he looks at me confused. "For saying what you said about me, I didn't expect you to say anything so thank you." I say and he nods. "And the ice pack." I say and he laughs.
"It was my pleasure." He says and I smile.
Jax and Gio were talking between themselves whilst I was texting my dad and Marco as they still continued to blow up my work phone.
"Ah ha!" Gio shouts making us all confused and look at him.
"I found him, look." He says to Jax.
"Get his phone number and we'll call him, lara get round here." Jax says and I look down at my outfit.
"Matteo will you get like a women's shirt or something that's appropriate for a meeting." Jax says and I sigh.
I shrunk in my seat whilst waiting for Matteo to return.
"We don't have anything." Matteo says and Jax looks up from his laptop.
"Fine uh take your blazer off and Lara will put that on make a dress out of it and all." Jax says and my eyes widen.
"Why don't we just go home, Lara can put something on and well yeah." Gio suggests and I nod.
"Okay let's roll." Jax says.
Once we get back home I head to Jax's room and get ready. I quickly change from his hoodie to a plain black top and put a black blazer on. I then reach for my necklace on the bed side unit and sigh as I put it on. This was the last thing Carter had got me before he was killed.
I brush my hair again and put a bit of makeup on quickly before running back downstairs.
"Glad you can join us Miss Fernandez." Gio says as I take a seat next to Matteo.
"Come and sit beside me and when you're ready we'll call him." Jax says and I nod.
Alexei answered the video call and had seemed very calm.
"Mr Ricci, Mr Moretti and Miss Fernandez it's nice to formally meet you." Alexei says and so far he seemed a lot nicer than Dmitri.
"Can't say the same for you in these circumstances." Jax says and Alexei nods.
"Well I understand but I was wondering when we'd get Dmitri back." He says a d Jax clears his throat.
"We'd like to offer a deal." Jax says which gains Alexei's attention.
"We want to put an end to all of this killing, kidnapping, this attempt at a war." Jax says and Alexei nods.
"I like the sound of that, would you like to discuss details?" Alexei asks and I have to stop myself from smiling, Alexei was nothing like Dmitri which I am so thankful for.
"Well all Russian men that work for you are to be taken out of the states immediately, you don't have any lands here." Jax says and Alexei nods and starts writing things up.
"None of your men are to step foot in the states without making sure its okay with me." Jax says and glances over at me.
"The same with Miss Fernandez and Brazil." Jax says making Alexei chuckle but nod.
"Anything you'd like to add." Jax asks me after listing many things Alexei must stop and blah blah blah.
"Not that I can think off on the top of my head. As long as no Russian men step foot into Brazil without me knowing and no stealing from our supplies then well things will be fine." I say and Jax nods.
"Is there anything I'm forgetting?" Jax asks looking at Gio.
"Nope." Gio says and Jax nods.
"I'd like to add something." Alexei says and I internally groan, this is going to be really bad isn't it.
"It seems as though I'm doing all the work to make sure that everything is calm again. However, I want a body to be returned to Russia." He says and I raise an eyebrow.
"That's it?" I ask and he nods.
"That's all I want." I says and I nod.
"Well you're gonna have to tell us when whoever it was, was killed so we have a clue where they are." Jax says and he nods.
"My son." He says and I instantly feel awful.
"What was he doing when we killed him?" I ask feeling guilty.
"I believe it was Rocco that killed him, along with thirty other men." Alexei says and I sigh.
That was the day they got me in the ice cream parlour.
"Alright if you send us a picture of him, we'll send over a contract and well we can work from there." Jax says and he nods.
After the phone call I say a quick Goodnight to the boys and head up to Jax's room but not before checking on Alannah. I head into Jax's room and lie down.

My eyes flutter open to the feeling of someone taking my blazer off. I meet Jax's eyes straight away and rub my eyes.
"You must've fell asleep I was just going to get you into some pyjamas." He says and I nod and thank him.
I continue to let Jax undress me and get me into my pyjamas.
"Will you take my necklace off?" I mutter and he nods.
Once I was in my pyjamas and my necklace was off I move over to my side of the bed and take off the little makeup I had on. I then put my hair in a messy bun and wait for Jax to get in beside me.
Once Jax had got in beside me I put my head on his chest and fall to sleep whilst he plays with my hair.
