Song: 'Count on Me' by Bruno Mars

If you ever find yourself stuck in the middle of the sea

I'll sail the world to find you

If you ever find yourself lost in the dark and you can't see

I'll be the light to guide you

We find out what we're made of

When we are called to help our friends in need

You can count on me

Like 1, 2, 3I'll be there

And I know when I need it

I can count on you

Like 4, 3, 2

You'll be there

'Cause that's what friends are supposed to do

Hannah's POV

"I think I'm falling in love, guys," I sighed dreamily admiring the most gorgeous guy, "tell me if he's not the most beautiful creation of God."

"You literally say that about every single good-looking guy your eyes land upon, at least twice a day if not more, Hans," said my best friend Mila, placing her arm around my shoulder.

"That's so not true, Miles you're just exaggerating," I shrugged her arm away, I know she's right but I'm never going to give her the satisfaction by admitting this.

"It is and you know it," oh just how much I'd like to wipe that smugness off her face.

"Well she's not wrong, Hans," said another voice, Jason's voice, defending.

Mila and Jason are my childhood best friends, we've been together since I changed my school in 3rd grade after mom's death and got admission to their school and we clicked right away. Since then we're inseparable, I guess till eternity. There's no way I'm getting rid of these two idiots anytime soon, not that I want to.

They started dating when we were in the last semester of high school and now we're soon graduating college in merely just 2 months. Much to my relief, they are not a very lovey-dovey couple otherwise it would've been so hard for me to hang around them. Don't get me wrong, the two have their moments and are crazy about each other but there are times as well when they are ready to kill each other, for real. I guess this is what happens when you've been friends all your life. I've even lost count of how many times these two broke up but they always come around

"Ah! Here comes the boyfriend to the rescue," I taunted "can you like for once not to take her side?" I asked averting my eyes from the hot guy to my friend, showing clear annoyance.

"And please shut up you both, you're ruining this for me," the guy now is taking his shirt off, and that Greek god-like body off his is on display, sweat glistening on his perfect abs.

"Oh my God, why the temperature has gone so hot suddenly, I think I'm going to faint," closing my eyes I swayed dramatically leaning on Jason and that little punk backed away, not much to make me fall but enough to make me stumble.

"WHAT THE HELL, JAY, you almost gave me a heart attack," I said loudly placing a hand on my chest. I looked around me to find I have gained an audience from my little outburst and that's when my eyes landed on the hottie who was smiling with his teeth fully on display, shaking his head he left.

I shuddered visibly at his smile. You guys must be thinking the guy smiled creepily or something, but NO he did not.

I guess it's about time you guys know a little fact about me that I, Hannah Anne Evans, do not like a guy when he smiles. Insanity? I know but that's just how it is, I like men arrogant and rigid, not the boy next door types, all giggles and smiles. I mean they are not bad but they just lose their appeal to me. Weird fantasy, right but I guess reading too much Wattpad does that to you. Maybe this is the reason why I'm single AF or maybe it has something to do with my views about love. Well, you see my reviews about lo.......

"What are you guys doing here?" a voice said snapping me out of my thoughts (I think reviews about love can wait till next time), the voice of my misery.

Now don't get your hopes high thinking it's some college's famous hot playboy (which he totally is) with whom I don't get along and who secretly has a crush on me or something, nope, real life is not cliché like that. In fact, in real life, the hot guy is your brother. Yes, you read it right, guys, for real... Well cousin brother but a brother nonetheless and my best friend, too. And one of the many reasons for my singlehood, too.

Meet Nicholas Adrian Samuel aka Nick, the fourth tire of this friendship car. Nick, Jason, and Mila were already friends when I met them. Nick is only six months older than me so our bond is really strong. He is the son of my dad's only sibling, Aunt Claudia. She and Uncle Brad, her husband, are like my second parents and they treat me very much like their own daughter and love me more than their own children, much to Nick's dislike. They have three sons; Noah is the oldest who is one of the youngest top surgeons in the country, then Nick who is entitled to inherit the family business, and then the youngest Neil, or as we like to call him Neil Armstrong, 17 years old and a complete nerd and he wants to be an astronaut (I know we're very creative and original about the name).

They are the best relatives one can ask for but even the best things in the world have some flaws. Their flaw; they are all very overprotective of me, ALL OF THEM. Especially Nick since we're together all the time, we can be fighting like cats and dogs seconds away to devour each other but it takes him no time to switch on his overprotective older brother mode, dude, you're only six months older than me, urghhhhhh.

"We were waiting for you," I replied casually adjusting the bag pack on my shoulder.

"Here?" he asked eyeing me skeptically.

"Umm... yeah, I was missing you, bro," I said innocently or at least tried.

"Oh, so you were missing me so much that you chose to wait outside the boy's sports locker room" arms crossed and eyebrows raised, not a good combo if you ask.

"They both were checking out the new guy in there, dude," Jason said sounding bored. I gave him the look that said 'you're soooo dead'

"Both?" Mila asked squinting her eyes.

"You were checking him out too, babe, don't think I didn't notice," now it was my turn to squint my eyes on Mila.

"I was not"

"Yeah, you were," and that started their bickering, again.

"Wasn't"

"Was"

"Wasn...."

"Shut up you both," Nick and I said together

"And which new guy are you talking about?" Nick continued, eyebrows knitted together in confusion, "there's no new addition exce...," And then his eyes went wide as if enlightenment struck him hard.

"... Except for the new coach, are you guys serious?" he shook his head disbelievingly.

"Well, there's no rule a coach can't be hot or that we can't check him out," I said playing it cool

"He's 39 years old, Hans," he emphasized.

"Really!! he doesn't look like a day over 29, I'm impressed," I really was

"Damn, he still got it in him, huh" Mila eyed Jason from head to toe, "unlike some who don't have it in their early 20s."

"Ouch, bro that was savage," nick patted Jay's shoulder while I and Mila high-fived.

Jason slapped his hand away and stepped towards Mila, eyes burning.

"Oh yeah, then lemme prove it to you tonight what I got," he placed his hands on her waist

"Gladly" wrapping her arms around his neck Mila whispered in his ear seductively.

"Ew gross, stop it you two," I snickered

"Yeah, let's go I'm starving," Nick said walking ahead and we all followed.

"Hey, by the way where's Mike, Wasn't he supposed to be with you?" Mila asked.

"He didn't come to practice today, he'll meet us directly at the café, busy with stuff, you know," oh we know what kind of stuff he's busy in, yikes.

Another fact about me that you should know is that I might have had a little crush on Mike at the beginning of our friendship, nothing major, he's a handsome guy with a cute boyish personality, but we are only friends, nothing more. He is our senior, it's his 5th year of college since he's an architecture student. We met Mike in the first semester of our college and he became a very important part of our brotherhood. Yeah, that's how we refer to ourselves, cool, right?

"And hey I forgot to tell you," Jumping on Nick's back for a piggyback, I said, "your coach saw us checking him out."

"WHAT?" he came to a sudden halt and tried to get me down but failed.

"Come on, it's not like he knew I'm your sister," he relaxed at that but I continued "unless he heard me calling you bro" no, he didn't but Nick doesn't need to know that, now does he? *internal evil laugh*

"Oh God, this is so embarrassing," he started walking again, groaning "I'm never stepping a foot in there ever again."
