Song: I don't care by Apocalyptica
I try to make it through my life, in my way, there's you
I try to make it through these lies, and that's all I do
Just don't deny it
Don't try to fight this, and deal with it
And that's just part of it
If you were dead or still alive
I don't care, I don't care
Just go and leave this all behind
'Cause I swear (I swear) I don't care

HANNAH'S POV
It's just the two of us now.
The air inside the car is so thick and impenetrable. The heaviness of the situation still hasn't varied off. In fact, if I'm being honest, it's now even more awkward since there's no one else to divert our attention to.
It's been almost ten minutes that we've been on the road and no one has uttered a single word. And it's killing me. It's the longest I've stayed quiet in another person's presence. I got to say, it's kind of stressful. But what to do when the other person who is now your husband doesn't share your thoughts?
The guy is so quiet that you might think he's not even here. Oh, but he is here, very much here. Though, he's as silent as the dead yet has such an overpowering presence that's hard to miss. Sitting at each corner with few feet separating us, we're actually miles apart, mentally.
It's too late to say hello even. You just can't say hello right after you get married to someone, right?
Wait! What do you normally say after you get married? I don't know.
"Ummm hey, so we got married, huh," I said in a low awkward tone, I just had to. But I was just trying to ease the situation which didn't help at all because he didn't answer.
And I guess I never will either.
And why would you say that? Of course, he knows we got married. He was there, you idiot!
I sat there for the next 30 minutes as he completely refused to acknowledge my presence. I kept glancing his way to maybe get one back or a change of expression, but no success there either. He just sat there completed devoid of any form of expression, but his body structure rigid nonetheless.
I looked at him for the last time and sighed. Leaning back on the headrest, I closed my eyes and allowed myself to relax, dozing off to an uncomfortable sleep with a lot on my mind.
...........................................................................................
I was awakened from my not so peaceful sleep as the gate buzzed open. I straightened up in my seat as I started rubbing my eyes to get rid of all the sleepiness still left in me but stopped right away as I remember that I've got makeup on. Woah, no one's ready to witness that yet.
My hand stopped right in the air as I glanced out of the car window but for a different reason this time.
The car kept rolling smoothly around the semi-circular driveway with a beautiful and well-trimmed garden on it either side for the next few moments until it stopped at the car porch right in front of a huge double story house. A house (if you can call it that) that screams luxury and class from afar, putting all the others around it to shame.
Just a look and you can tell it's one of the poshest neighborhoods in the city. Each house is built at a far distance from the other, it almost has an isolated but peaceful feel to it, an area that's away from the bustling city life. The house, though is very big yet it isn't overly massive like a mansion, just the right size to depict who the owner is. It's not every day that you get to see a residence like this. It's a perfect blend of modern and conventional architecture.
Architect, did he say? Yup, I can see it now. I've got to give it to him, dude's got taste.
Know the expression, humble house?
Yeah, it's anything but that. And so far, I've only seen the outside of it that too only as far as my eyes can go.
Who is this guy, anyway, George Clooney?
The sleep from my eyes was long gone as I feasted my eyes on each and every curve of this beauty. It's a place right out of my designer dream. The first thought that came to my mind once I regained my sense after being awestruck was what it'll feel like to design the interior of this enormous residence, not that it'll need any. I can feel my mouth salivating just by thinking about it, I can't wait to explore every inch of its existence. Ah, at last, something to look forward to.
I was snapped out of my day more like evening dreaming as the car door slammed close diverting my attention to my left to what is now an empty seat. Awesome, I can't help but roll my eyes.
Once again, I sighed, which I've been doing a lot today, and was about to unlock the door when it was opened from the outside.
No no, don't get too hyped up, people. It's just the chauffeur.
A well-groomed and a rather handsome young man attired typically as a chauffeur, but something about his height and built tells me that he's more than just a drive. A bodyguard perhaps, the tough expressionless face is also an indication.
I tried to gather my long dress with both hands and stepped out of the car only to get tripped by it and was about to fall face down right on my knees when a strong hand quickly held my shoulder, stabilizing me before I made contact with the floor.
No, Karen! It's still the chauffeur!
Urgh, damn these heels, damn this dress, DAMN EVERYTHING!!! Embarrassment level 101.
"Thank you so much, it's just these hee..." The rest of the words got stuck in my mouth as I looked up to my right. The scene in front of me made me question the stability of my own mind. Am I still asleep, didn't I just wake up?
Unable to blink or divert my eyes, I kept staring until I was sure it isn't a hallucination of my own mind.
The man I just got married to is kissing another woman.
Someone else was the recipient of my wedding kiss.
