No, no

Oh, no

See you walking 'round like it's a funeral

Not so serious, girl, why those feet cold?

We just getting started, don't you tiptoe

Tiptoe, ah, waste time with a masterpiece

Don't waste time with a masterpiece

You should be rolling with me

You should be rolling with me, ah

You're a real-life fantasy

You're a real-life fantasy

But you're moving so carefully

Let's start living dangerously

HANNAH'S POV:

Poke.

Poke.

Poke, poke.

Another slightly harsh and painful...

POKE!!!!!

Struggling, I fluttered my eyes open at the constant jabs my left arm was receiving. Once my eyes were fully open to comprehend, I saw a face right next to mine. I closed my eyes again only to reopen them with realization and closing them once more.

"AAAAAAAHHHHHH!" and I screamed... with all my might.

The intruder blocked his ears at my screeching voice and tried to hush me at the same time but to no vein.

"Hey, hey, hey, relax! Calm down!" he said loudly but I kept screaming probably disrupting both our hearing abilities. He made some more futile attempts still not enough to make me stop.

"FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, WOMAN, STOP SCREAMING!" this time it was him who shouted at top of his lungs and I shut up. When I finally open my eyes, I was taken aback to see that the guy in front of me wasn't some lowlife scumbag but a good-looking tall fella in expensive clothes instead, who looks nothing like a thief. He's fine, like a businessman fine.

"Relax, okay, I'm not here to harm you." Out of breath, he raised his hands in surrender. I was too stunned to even react and out of breath at the same time.

"Phew! For someone as petite as you, that was one hell of a scream, sweat heart." With one hand on his waist, he wiped his forehead for fake sweat with the other and chuckled.

Once I got the time to observe him, I realized that maybe I overreacted, he doesn't seem dangerous, in fact quite opposite of it.

"Hi, I'm Andrew Cooper, Andy for short." He extended his hand for a handshake, his carefree smile instantly making me relax a little. Skeptically, I shook his hand.

"I'm Hannah. Umm, sorry for..." I was at a loss for words but I think he understood anyways.

"Oh, no, don't be. It's okay, I understand you were taken by surprise" then he looked at me from head to toe in my bridal attire and raised an eyebrow in confusion.

"Umm, if you don't mind me asking" he once again gestured towards my outfit, "I mean, don't get me wrong, you look gorgeous... well if we overlook the current state of your hair." My hand went straight up to my head and without even looking in the mirror I can tell how they must look. Though I'm sure they're still a bit intact due to the amount of hairspray Mila sprayed to hold my short-haired bun in place.

God forbid, if he saw your usual hair state, he'll be the one screaming, not you.

"Not to be rude, but who are you? It doesn't happen every day that you get to see a bride or someone dressed as one in this house." He made himself comfortable on the sofa and undid his jacket buttons making his well-toned body more visible now than ever.

Oh, so definitely not an intruder. Maybe he's a friend or relative of that bastard who deserted me in this big house or does he live here?

Wait!

What if it's this guy's house and that husband of mine left me here on purpose. Shit! What if that's true?

"Sweetheart, you're not doing a very good job at hiding whatever is going on in that pretty little brain of yours. Pity I'm not good at reading expressions." And I realized what I must be looking like with a scrunched face. I straightened it right away.

"D.. do you live here, is this your house?" I asked in confusion and hesitation all at once. He kept observing me as if trying to put two and two together.

"Interesting. Very interesting indeed" he said while tapping his chin with his index finger, I looked at him with even more confusion, "Well, sit down, we're going to chat a little longer than I thought."

Obeying him, I sat down awkwardly gathering my huge dress once again. I kept breaking eye contact because of nervousness. I'm feeling guilty and I don't even know why. I didn't do anything wrong!

"Hmm, so first things first. No this isn't my house, so you can relax. This is my best friend's house." And I relaxed then and there, I exhaled without realizing I was holding my breath.

"Now, I think I can see what's going on here but I'd rather not jump to any conclusions," he said in all seriousness, encouraging me to state my defense. If he's the best friend then I think he should already know the reason why I'm here. I mean, best friends know everything, right?

"Umm, well..." I didn't know what to tell him, more like I was confused about how to phrase it, but before I could say anything, my stomach did the talking for me. Yeah, it growled! In front of a stranger, that to an attractive one.

Could I be more embarrassed?

Mustering up all the courage, I dared to look up and found him smiling. Urgh! Kill me already.

"Well, there's no need to be embarrassed." He said kindly, "Why don't you go and freshen up, I'll see what I can do." I blushed but thanked him nonetheless and took a step but stopped not knowing where to go. I guess he saw my dilemma too.

"Let me guess, you don't know where the bathroom is?" I nodded my head in confirmation.

"And where's your stuff? In case you have any."

"I don't know where it's kept, it was taken before us."

"Alright, let's check where it is. Shall we?" he made a gesture for me to follow him and I obliged. Leading me upstairs, he opened different doors to different rooms, "No, not in here. Not in this one either." After looking for my stuff in 3 different rooms, we finally reached the one.

"Ah! Here it is!" he said while holding the door open for me. "Freshen up, and then you know where to find me" After thanking him, I step inside but stopped when he called me again, "Yeah?"

"Do whatever you want while you're here, but don't and I mean do not ever think about opening this room's door, let alone entering it," he said warning in all seriousness, and pointed to the door opposite mine. I nodded once again and closed the door.

Once I got the chance to see the room, let's just say I wasn't surprised at all this time. Until now, I'm already used to expecting nothing but the best in this house.

The room is not huge but rather minimalistic and simple, with nothing to scream extravagance yet fancy. Still, it's a beautiful room. The colors like the rest of the house are neutral. All the furniture inside is modern yet sophisticated. A comfortable queen-sized bed in the middle of the room with side tables, each containing a table lamp. Two single room chairs on the left side are placed in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows that open up to a balcony offering an astounding view. There's a door on the right side that I believe is a bathroom with a walk-in closet. The color scheme of the room is comprised of dull gold and beige. Unlike the living room, the bedroom has a warm and welcoming feel to it.

If only I discovered this room last night. Ah, what an enjoyable and cozy sleep that would've been.
