Song: What makes you beautiful by One Direction

You're insecure and don't know what for

You're turning heads when you walk through the do-o-or

Don't need make-up to cover-up

Being the way that you are is enou-ou-ough

Everyone else in the room can see it

Everyone else, but you, ooh

Baby, you light up my world like nobody else

If only you saw what I can see

You'll understand why I want you so desperately

Right now I'm lookin' at you, and I can't believe

You don't know, oh-oh

You don't know you're beautiful, oh-oh

That's what makes you beautiful

HANNAH'S POV

Once I was done with a long bubble bath in the one hell of a deluxe bathroom, I could easily say I'm feeling relieved and refreshed from all the tiredness. Amidst all the tension, I never realized how weighing dressing up as a bride was, the makeup, the dress, and those devil heels. But now I'm back to myself in my comfy clothes. Wearing a pair of black tights with an oversized grey sweater and white Converse, I left the room and headed towards the kitchen.

"Ah, there you are. I was beginning to think you forgot your way to the kitchen." He said as soon as he saw me entering the kitchen. "Come, have a seat. I've made pancakes." As I sat on the counter stool, I noticed then that he has now ditched his suit jacket, his light blue shirt on display with its sleeves rolled up to the elbow.

Does every person related to him have to be good-looking? Ah, never mind.

"What are you waiting for, dig in!" and I did. Man, these are some quality pancakes.

"Oh, sorry, would you like to have some?" I asked when I saw him observing me. He shook his head.

"No, thank you. But what I would like is to know what happened" Sipping his coffee he said seriously, all the playfulness gone now. Yet unlike his friend his tone isn't cruel or dark, neither it's rude.

"Umm, we got married yesterday," I stated the obvious. It feels so awkward to say this out loud. And besides, I don't know how much he knows or how much I can reveal to him.

As per the clause of the contract, our marriage is to stay disclosed from the world until the merger is announced publicly. And that will happen after approximately six months of our wedding. Meanwhile, I'll be working under Elijah on the hotel project that got me trapped in this hell hole, and I will be working as Hannah Evans, not as his wife. Other than that, no details of how it all happened can be shared with anyone else except for the people that already know this. It'll be a breach of contract. And it can prove damaging to our business reputation if anything related gets leaked.

But what happens if someone finds out? I mean,  Andy practically saw me in my bridal attire, and that too in his best friend's house. What's the point of hiding now, right? Or maybe I shouldn't go into details, just to be safe you know.

Yeah, that's what I'm going to do.

"Yeah, I deduced that much. I want to know how it all happened and why are you here?" Huh?

"Umm, where else I should be?" confusion all over my face, "Shouldn't you know everything already?" he raised his eyebrow at that.

"Why would I know about it?" He also raised an eyebrow in confusion. He did say best friend, right?

"Aren't you his best friend?" I questioned back.

"No, I'm not. Who said I'm his best friend?" huh, is he suffering from amnesia or something? Just when I was to ask this, he spoke again.

"Anyways, I'll deal with you later as you're clearly not the only one to answer all this alone. Now, where is he?"

"I don't know," I bowed my head and answered, feeling embarrassed for some reason, "He dropped me here and left." With someone else, I wanted to add but refrained.

"Huh? Let me get this straight. So, you guys got married, he brought you here, and then left just like that. Has he finally lost it?" Yes, yes, yessss! I wanted to shout at the top of my lungs but damn my luck.

"This is unacceptable," uff, a man after my own heart, "Does anyone else knows about these endeavors of yours, your families, anyone?"

"Umm, yeah, I think so?" obviously our families know, they planned it. What is he on about?

Confusion, confusion, and more confusion!!!

"You think so?" he emphasized, "You and Ethan got married and you're not even sure whether your families know or not!"

"No, I mean, yeah they do know... Wait!

What did he say?

Ethan?

Who's Ethan?

"Who's Ethan?" I voiced out what exactly was on my mind.

"Oh wow! Ethan your husband, Hannah, who else," He said sipping his coffee. He's so sure of himself that I started doubting whether I married a man named Ethan or Elijah.

Oh, shut up! You know very well who you got married to.

"What! No, I didn't. why do you think I'll marry a guy and won't know his name?" I mean, yeah, I'm stupid but not that stupid. Besides, he doesn't know me that well to know this already.

"Drop the act already, sweetheart, you can't fool me. It's okay, I know what you guys did is stupid" Ah, there it is, "but what's done is done. Don't cover it up for him."

"Why would I do that, hunh? I don't know any Ethan. I don't think I've ever known one ever." I said now with more enthusiasm than ever.

"Really now," he said as if mocking me, "who are you married to then?"

"Elijah," I said as a matter of fact and took a bite from my long-forgotten pancakes.

Right then I heard the sound of choking.

Andy had his eyes bulged out and he was coughing nonstop. I instantly jumped off the stool and got around him.

"Oh my God, are you okay?" of course he's not okay, idiot.

He choked on his coffee, it got in his air pipe and was now coming out of his nose. His whole face has gone red and his eyes are getting watery. I kept standing near him panicking about what do I do.

Umm, how about rubbing his back, genius!

Oh yeah, why didn't I think of it before? But wait, won't it be weird?

Now is not the time for that Hannah, THE MAN CAN DIE!!

By the time I made up my mind, his coughing has slowed down already. Though, it still hasn't ended.

"Wat.. wate-r" huh? His voice is being so groggy and inaudible that I didn't get it at first.

"WATER, HANNAH" Yup, loud and clear this time.

"Oh yeah, sorry. I'll get it" handing him a glass of water I stood near him. "You alright now?" he nodded merely.

It took him two to three minutes more to stabilize and recover to his normal state. I stayed quiet.

"Hem," he cleared his throat and blinked his eyes a few times to subside the wateriness, "I don't know why I thought you said, Elijah." He laughed a little as if he found it absurd.

"Because that's what I said," I said with conviction. His eyes shot back to me again.

"Alright, enough of this now. Stop lying already. You don't look like some scammer so I assumed it's Ethan you're married to. But clearly, you're not innocent, I can see that now." His tone has now gone harsh. It's uncomfortable.

"Why would I lie to you? You're his best friend as you say so, you should know."

"For the sake of money, obviously. Been there, done that. You're not the first person I've come across to make this claim. Though, you don't look like a gold digger, props for that." Ouch!

"That's because I'm not, we did get married last night. How else would I be here?"

"That is what I'm thinking? Who sent you here?" his accusation made me feel like I was an assassin.

"No one sent me here, what's wrong with you? Do you think I'm some intruder? Have you seen the security outside? who can get past those giants without them knowing" I lashed out a bit, and he seemed like he was considering other possibilities?

"Listen, why don't you just give him a call and ask? I can't tell you more than this." I don't want to get in trouble.

He took his phone out, dialed Elijah, and put him on speaker. He picked up after a few seconds.

"Hey, dude, what's up?"

"What do you want?"

"Yeah, I'm good too" he rolled his eyes and started walking back and forth while talking, "Listen, where are you?" he stopped at that and looked at me.

"Home"

Just one word. What a shocker!

"You're home?" he repeated but with a raised eyebrow, "Okay then, I'm coming." Oh, I see what he's doing.

"Don't."

Andy is so lucky to be blessed with another word. I can't help but roll my eyes.

"Why not, I have some work I need to discuss with you."

"Dammit Andrew, I told you already! Do not come."

Woah, there! I don't know what has more value, his agitated outburst or the ability to say a whole sentence.

"Woah, bro! What is wrong with you? And wait, are you drunk, this early in the morning? It's just 8 AM yet!"

Oh yes, now that he mentioned it, he does sound drunk. Did I ever tell you he has a deep captivating voice? Now add grogginess to it because Damn!!!

My disliking for him is one thing, but that voice of his is something else! If I didn't hate him, I might have been swooning every time he opens that sexy mouth of his.

Too bad all this doesn't make up for his appalling personality!

"Listen, man, I can't deal with you now. I'll call you later." And hang.

"Well? Do you believe me now?"

Andy didn't answer, I can see his mind is still uncomprehensive.

"To say I'm shocked would be an understatement, yet I still find it hard to believe." Same feelings, bud, join the club.

"He's never lied to me before, or at least not the one I know. But if it is, in fact, the case, then Hannah, my dear, we're gonna get along so well!" he walked up to me with a devilish smile and I couldn't help but smile back.

Now that's my kinda guy, a man after my own soul.

I guess I've made a new friend already, and this friendship is going to go on for miles.

We shook hands and made an unsaid pact. A new bond formed then and there.

"Now, what say if we keep this interaction a little secret? Elijah doesn't need to know about this." I nodded happily.

well, let's hope it'll be a fun ride!
