Song: 'Baby' by Anton Power and Pixie Lott

If you love me show me

Don't say a single word

(Don't say a single word)

Cause these thoughts of mine

Are telling me to go

(Telling me to go, woah)And the night so cold

Nobody to hold

Are you coming home?

Are you coming home?

I'm gonna need to know now

If you say to me we'll be alright

But I need to know you'll hold me tight

(Baby, baby, baby, baby)

If I say to you we'll be okay

We can make it through another day

(Baby, baby, baby, baby)

No one does it better

When we are together

(Baby, baby, baby, baby)

I love you more than ever

Baby it's forever

HANNAH'S POV:

Days after days passed but things didn't get better... at all.

In fact, they got worst.

At the office, he was giving me the hardest time.

And at home... his house to be précised, well let's just say that there's no evidence found that whether it is his house or not, since I've never seen him here ever, except for that one time.

One thing I've realized in this period is that loneliness is not as exciting as I used to think it would be. I never cherished the loudness of the people around me up until now. It feels stupid now to think that once I looked forward to being so independent thinking that I won't miss all the people that mean the world to me.

Ding...

Dinnnggg...

Do people not know that he doesn't live here?

You might wonder how I know that it's someone not for me but for him.

Because I know the exact whereabouts of all the people that are associated with me, so it has to be someone he knows.

Ding, ding, ding...

The bell rang again, but this time a little longer.

Putting the largest bag of potato chips aside, I got up from my bed.

Opening the door I saw two new faces that I'd never seen before. Two beautiful faces, I must add.

A boy and a girl. Both look like they've directly come here from a red carpet.

"Yes?" I questioned them with total admiration in my eyes.

"It's true then?" said the handsome boy leaning a little forward, with amusement evident in his tone. Meanwhile, the girl didn't say anything but kept looking at me as if x-raying my soul.

"What is true?" I mimicked his actions and leaned a little myself.

Who are these people, they seem familiar but I don't know them. Am I supposed to know them?

The guy snapped his fingers and tried to enter making me take a step back in the process.

Hey, hey, hey, that's not a way to enter someone's house.

"Um, excuse me, you can't enter my house like that, who are you guys, what do you want?"

"Your house?" said the guy with the same amusement as before.

"Seriously, you don't know us?" the girl asked with a raised eyebrow, her scrutiny gaze still intact.

"Have we met before?" I questioned back knowing fully well that we haven't.

She, too, shook her head negatively.

"Well, then, I seriously don't know who you are." Folding my hand in front of her, I stood my ground.

"Cut it, ladies, enough. Let me make the introductions, maybe then you'll remember who we are."

"Hey, I'm Ethan, and this is Elena", he offered me his hand to shake with a breathtaking smile plastered on his face. Hmm, why do feel like I've heard the name Ethan before?

I accepted his handshake and just as I was to say my name, he beat me to it.

"And you're Hannah, we know." Kissing my hand he said with smugness in his eyes.

"Where's Elijah?" The girl, Elena, interrupted before I could react.

Okay, so, clearly these people are his pals and they also seem to know who I am. But do they know what relation I have with him?

What do I do now?

Think, Hannah, think, how to handle this?

That's when a neat little idea popped into my head.

"Ah, yes! So silly of me, of course, I remember now." I pretended to remember them all of a sudden.

So, the strategy is that I'll act as if I know who they are but won't reveal who I am until they won't say it themselves. And since Elijah isn't home so they'll leave and I'll be safe.

Brilliant plan, Hans, now hopefully it'll pay off.

"How could I forget, I've heard so much about you guys." They both eyed my sudden enthusiasm with different expressions, the boy had a joyous grin that almost felt humorous. And the girl's face had skepticism written all over it.

"You don't know who we are, do you?" said the handsome boy with unhidden mischief in his voice.

"Obviously, I know who you are," I added a fake laugh to make my claims more authentic, "but I'm so sorry, Elijah isn't home right now. So..." I left the rest so I won't have to spell it out for them to leave.

"That's no problem, we can wait for him." Said the gorgeous beauty while sitting on the sofa as by now we're all already in the living room.

"Umm, he'll get a little late," I said now panicking a little as my plan isn't working as well as I thought it would.

"Oh, that's no problem, give him a call and tell him we're here. I'm sure he'd like to meet us." Just when I was to make another excuse, the boy continued, "no more excuses please."

"Of... of course, why would I make excuses, let me go and get my cell phone" and I tried to walk out of the room.

"On the table," the girl said looking straight into my eyes.

"Huh?"

With her eyes, she pointed towards the table, and there it was... my cell phone in all its glory.

Giving her a confused fake smile I picked up my phone and dialed his number for the first time.

Please don't pick up, please don't pick up, pl...

"What?" came out his ever-so-loving voice.

Who picks up a call so fast?

"Um, I... I wanted to ask,"

"Speak up, I don't have the whole day," and speaking up is what I did.

"When are you coming home?" I said it in one breath, doubting if I was comprehendible or not.

"Excuse me?"

"He he," I laughed awkwardly as I saw two pairs of eyes noticing every action of mine, "your friends are here" I continued smiling at them.

"What friends?" I don't know, the ones that have your address I wanted to say.

"Your friends, Ethan and Elena," if I didn't stop smiling now, my mouth will definitely have a muscle spasm

"Fuck!" I heard him say under his breath, "I'll be there in 10 minutes."

What?

"Don't say a word until I'm there." And he cut the call.

But what am I to do meanwhile?

And him coming here... feels like a weird concept, when was the last time I saw him in his own house?

These must be some important friends of his for him to come here.

"He's coming," I informed them, no longer able to keep up the façade.

"Would you guys like to take something?" I asked so that I could leave the room, rubbing my hand unintentionally with desperation.

"Just water, thank you" oh, thank you, good Lord!

"Yes, of course," and I ran into the kitchen as if my life depends on it.

Okay, so, quick question: how long does it take to serve water to someone?

Because it has only been two minutes since the call ended. And who knows how much time he'll actually take to be here, I can't hide in here forever.

With the slowest speed possible, I filled up two glasses of water and finally left my safe haven.

Just as I was handing them their glasses, the door opened. And walked in a tired yet handsome-looking Elijah Norman. I took a visible breath of relief.

"You guys are finally back," he said as he reached near us and hugged them fondly, and kissed the girl's cheek too.

And then what happened is something I never imagined in my wildest dream.

"Hey darling," he turned towards me and hugged me then moved on kiss my cheek.

An internal shiver ran down my spine but I remained still, unable to process. He went on to then side hugging me with his left arm engulfing me.

To say I was shocked will be an insult to the concept of being shocked.

"I see you've finally met my siblings," he gestured towards the two people standing there whose presence I'd forgotten since he came.

Wait!

What did he say?

Siblings?

But,

And before I could take that in, his next words were equally unbelievable if not more.

"And this is my lovely wife, Hannah." He said, planting a light kiss on my temple.
