Never Late, Never Away Chapter 2222
âThey're absolutely right! I still need to put food on the table! My whole family depends on me!â
The shareholders in the meeting room voiced out their frustration because they were oblivious to
the fact that Norton Corporation had reached an agreement with a foreign manufacturer.
âMr. Norton, don't you think you owe us an explanation? You're not going to tell us you have no
idea about our current situation, are you?â
"If that's really the case, don't you guys think it's about time to appoint another president to lead
the corporation?â
The cunning bunch was up to no good and seemed to be plotting against him, trying to strip him of
his position.
Larry announced, âPlease calm down, everyone. There's a reason why I did not try to establish a
collaboration with the domestic manufacturers.â
"What is it? If you have run out of ideas, why donât you let Dustin take over your position? As the
second-largest shareholder of Norton Corporation, I'm sure heâs on par with you in terms of
capabilities!â
It was evident that Dustin was colluding with the shareholders, which was the reason he couldn't be
bothered to attend the meeting in person.
Great! They're actually ganging up on me now! Larry's abysmal pair of eyes glinted when he
thought about it.
Right then, his assistant handed each of the attendees a proposal. âHere's Mr. Norton's proposal.
Please take some time and peruse the pros and cons associated with the proposal before raising
any question.â
Instantly, everyone went dead silent.
âWhat is he up to again?â
âI have no idea! I guess we'll find out soon!â
âHas he been keeping us in the dark again? I have never heard of this so-called proposal before!â
"Actually, this is the first time I have seen it as well.â
When the shareholders started perusing the proposal, they were shocked.
A shareholder asked in disbelief, âMr. Norton, are you telling us you have sealed the deal with the
largest foreign manufacturer?â
Initially, they had devised a flawless plan to strip Larry of his power as the president, but they were
rendered speechless by the proposal the assistant had distributed
Confused, they exchanged glances with each other.
Another shareholder repeated the question, âMr. Norton, are you serious?â
Larry deadpanned his reply with a serious look, âYes.â
After perusing the proposal a few times, the attendees of the meeting still found it unbelievable.
âThat foreign manufacturer is globally renowned for being the best in the industry. Some of us had
paid the person in charge a visit, yet our effort was to no avail. How did he reach an agreement with
them?"
âI have no idea! Did he resort to some extreme countermeasures again?â
"Hmph! I think that must be the case! After all, Larry is known for being a ruthless man who would
resort to everything and anything to achieve his goal.â
A few of the shareholders engaged in another round of heated discussion.
Suddenly, Larry announced, âChoosing not to collaborate with domestic manufacturers has always
been part of my plan. While we're not supposed to leave those who have supported us behind, we
can't possibly forsake our potential gains as entrepreneurs. I will never impede the companyâs
growth for personal reasons. On top of that, the person in charge of the foreign manufacturing
company has indicated the will to work with us in the long run.â
It was evident that Larry's plan had taken the shareholders by surprise once again.
One of the most reputable shareholders requested, âIt sounds like a great idea because Norton
Corporation has always been a for-profit organization. With that being said, you need to show us
the agreement to convince us.â
Larry understood that the shareholder was trying to do him a favor to stop others from getting in
his way. Therefore, he knew it was inevitable to show them the agreement.
After he glanced at his watch, he stated, âThat won't be an issue, but not today because there are
still quite a few things I have to sort out. I'll show everyone the agreement during our next meeting.
So please be patient until then.â
