Chapter 24: ♔︎|𝐓𝐰𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐲 𝐓𝐰𝐨

AFTER MANY hours later we finally arrived at the castle. Just like last time my stomach erupted with infinite butterflies. It was the same feeling that I felt last time when I came for the Ball.

Excitement rushed inside my body as I watched the whole castle in awe. The castle was so fascinating that words couldn't fill to describe it's beauty.

We had reached when the sun was about to set. The colors in the sky mingled so beautifully. I felt happier and happier just by viewing it. I didn't notice that everyone was waiting for me to enter the castle.

Shyness took over as I smiled at the ground sheepishly. Princess Genevieve looked at me and shook her head and motioned me to come inside.

This time my entrance in the castle felt very offbeat. Last time, I went into the castle as a guest but this time I'm entering as a part of it.

As soon as I entered the castle, I was met by the Queen. She instantly brought me in for a hug and stroked my face. I smiled at the warm gesture.

"Hello," I said, almost as a whisper. I didn't look at the queen because I was too afraid. She must've felt my nervousness as she brought her hand towards my chin and lifted it. I looked at her in awe by how gorgeous she was.

I didn't see her properly at the Ball but now looking at her closely made me realize that the Royals were indeed made with such delicacy and with such supremacy that it was impracticable to point out a blemish.

"You're so pretty, Queen," I mumbled, she raised a chuckle.

"Thank you, sweetheart. You're beautiful as well," she said.

All four of us sat in the living room, the King never left his gaze from me and I felt chilled at my spot. Lukas and the other brother were missing to which I was thankful because I was too tired to handle Lukas's trouble.

"First of all sweetie, I am very sorry to be the reason for your discomfort. I just wanted my Vincent to be content with his mate. I'm sorry if that's too much to ask. I promise you that the castle will make you feel as if you're in your home. You won't feel uncomfortable. I give you my word, darling," Queen Aurora said as she caressed my face and adored me.

I was out of words. I didn't know what to say. The Queen was being so generous with me, I was just a normal werewolf.

"Thank you so much," I said as I looked at her with a heartfelt smile.

"My apologies, you must be tired. Come, I'll take you to your room," She said the Queen. Princess and I stood up while the King separated ways.

Together, the three of us went upstairs from the gorgeous looking staircase. The castle was huge. I felt scared that I might lose my way when I would be alone. We stopped outside a door, the Queen told me we were in the East wing. Here only two rooms were situated.

"That is Vincentius's room and this is yours. I wanted to shift you in Vince's room but we figured it would be quite uncomfortable at first," Princess Genevieve said as the Queen nodded her head in agreement.

The room which was given to me was thrice bigger than mine. The walls were of cremé color and the bed was situated in the middle of the room with a huge dresser on the left side. There were two gigantic windows on the right side which gave such a beautiful view of the outside. A huge TV was placed just opposite to the bed.

My suitcases came shortly after. It was getting dark outside and I was too tired. I couldn't sit still with my eyes open. After bidding Goodbye to the princess and the Queen, I decided to change my attire into some comfortable clothes.

There was a separate bathroom that joined with my room. As I stepped inside I gasped, the bathroom was beyond beautiful and was so big. It was almost the size of the room. It had rose-gold marble walls along with the floor. There were a separate bathtub and shower tub. I even found a small Jacuzzi that was at the far end of the bathroom. I guess living with the royals has it's own perks.

I was very tired to take a night shower so I decided to skip it mentally promising myself to take one in the morning. I changed into my night attire and snuggled in my bed. As soon as I head hit the pillow I felt as if I was going to another world.

Vincentius Dante

I couldn't share the same room as her so I got up from my place and directly went into my office trying to divert my mind that was clogged with numerous thoughts of especially one soul.

"King," my beta and my most trusted companion, Dorian called me. I looked up and signaled him to speak.

"King, I was trying to call you and to notify you that I heard a piece of news or a rumor that some unknown wolf troops are planning an attack. Now that you've uncovered yourself, many enemies of yours have had this advantage," Dorian said as he explained to me in concern. Dorian didn't mask his expressions in front of me, he knew I could read him like an open book.

Dorian was not just my beta but I considered him one of my brothers. I trust him as I trust Lukas and Hernandez. And I know that he won't ever break my trust or deceive me.

"Dorian, don't worry, my enemies know better. They know they're going to go straight to hell if they even try to attack my territory," I said as I reassured my beta who seemed very hesitant with my response.

"You know what to do, strengthen the security, and announce a curfew for a little while," I said. Dorian nodded and exited the office.

To be honest, I didn't have any work that was left. I was staying in my office on purpose. But I realized it was of no use and I was getting tired. The journey was tiring too.

As I was making my way towards my room, I met my mother. I was quite surprised that she was still up.

"Mother, why are you up so late?" I asked her.

"I just wanted to check If Bellamy needed anything," She said as she looked behind her towards the door that stood opposite to mine.

"Mother. Where is my mate staying?" I asked now in a much serious tone.

She gestured to the door that was opposite to mine. Great, I thought. So much for avoiding her.

"Mother, Why?" I asked her.

"Call it moon goddess's work," she joked and winked at me before she left for her room.

One thing was for sure, mother was beyond happy to see my mate here. I have never seen such a glow on her face before.

I made my way towards my room ignoring the attraction and the pull that I was receiving from the other door.
