IT HAD BEEN five days of intolerable anguish due to Luciano's presence. Nonstop, he had been chasing after my mate. My temper had now toppled over its limits, and I was burning with the insatiable urge to kick him out of the castle and from our lives.

I was currently in my office discussing the plans with my beta, Dorian, and my head wolf general, Damien.

"King, I think that you, Prince Hernan and Lukas should keep your eyes on all sides," Damien said as he examined the files that had a record of each side.

"The southern Alpha is being unreasonably stubborn. Yesterday, I sent Adrian to collect the economic record and the Alpha didn't let him enter. When Adrian said that you've sent him, the Alpha explicitly told him to tell the King that he should personally collect the file from him," Dorian told me.

Great, now the Southern Alpha was becoming difficult.

"How's the Eastern side doing?" I asked, fully knowing that Bellamy belonged to it. A lot recently, Bellamy and I were getting along.

Yesterday, the wolf members and I were discussing the Luna ceremony, and it seems that I'd been unaware of how quickly the time had been drifting because, at around midnight, Bellamy stepped into the office with a cup of tea in hand. It'd been charming to see her in her nightgown. And not to forget, the tea had been out of this world.

"The Eastern side is by far the only side which is wholeheartedly accepting your orders. The rest are accepting them too but sluggishly. I agree with Damien, you should go and check on the sides," Dorain enunciated.

I nodded. "Okay. Tell the driver to be ready at exactly seven in the morning. You two are coming with me." With that, I stood up and made my way to bed.

It had been a long day and I felt my muscles aching slightly. I decided to go for a warm bath to clear my mind. As soon as the hot water touched my skin, I was coated in bliss. It was stinging at first but later it felt very good. After the bath, I wrapped a towel around my bare torso and I caught a glimpse of the deep scar that sat just above my heart, and I was reminded of many casualties that I'd had to surpass in the past.

The mirror was foggy with vapor that had sat on it during my bath. I brought my hand to its surface and swiped the moisture away. With every squeak on the glass, my reflection became clearer. The hair on my head was a wet tousled crown and the rest of my body seemed to be blurring away. A yawn slipped through my lips, and I remembered that I had an early morning.

But then another thought occurred to me; I'd be gone for a whole week, and I couldn't leave Bellamy alone with Luciano. Before I knew it, my robe was on my bot and my feet were carrying me to the room across mine. I knocked on the door twice feeling guilty that this might ruin her sleep.

When the door opened, I was met with the sight of a sleepy Bellamy, and her lips stretched open as she rubbed her eyes. When she saw me, her eyes widened a little bit. She started smoothening her hair and clothes. I allowed myself to smile and shake my head.

"It's okay, you look good. I shouldn't have woken you up at this time but I need to tell you something," I explained and she nodded awkwardly, gesturing for me to continue.

"Tomorrow, I'm going on a trip to all the sides. I'll be away for a week, and I figured you would want to come with me since you haven't visited your home. So what do you say?" I asked, waiting eagerly for her response.

"Yes, of course. I would love to." She eagerly responded. I could tell how excited she was upon hearing the news.

Through the little spaces, the blinds couldn't cover, slivers of sunlight broke through. I covered my eyes, wanting to sleep in more. But I realized that I had a trip to attend, and Bellamy was going to be there.

Bellamy. Her name brought a smile on my face as I remembered her sweet smile and melodious voice. I sobered up quickly though when I realized that I was behaving like a love-struck puppy.

I got up and changed my clothes on time. I was about to go out of my room when a knock sounded at the door. I pulled it open and there stood my mate, Bellamy, and the sight of her was stunning.

"You look really pretty, Bellamy,'' I said as I caressed her cheek.

"Thank you," She mumbled as a blush rose to her cheek, adding more beauty to her.

Together, we walked in the dining hall where everyone was already seated.

"Before I forget, Bellamy and I are going to go visit each side for a week," I said as I sat beside my mate.

"Eh, sounds fun. I'll come too," Luciano said as he looked at me with hope in his eyes. I was not sorry to crush that hope.

"No Luciano, come on. Don't be a bump in the boat. Let the couple enjoy alone," Mother said while looking at Luciano who looked down in embarrassment.

I was getting way too suspicious with him obsessing this much over my mate. My possessive instincts started to kick in as I held my mate's hand under the table. She jerked up frightenedly, and everyone averted their gaze to her.

"Are you okay?" Genevieve asked her with concern.

Bellamy shook her hand quickly and said, "The tea was just hot. I think I burnt my tongue, he-he," she said shyly and looked at me with a sly look.

I smirked as I sipped my coffee in satisfaction.

We were done with our breakfast and I was notified that the driver was ready to go. Bellamy and I sat at the backseat while the others settled for seats closer to the driver upfront. Our first stop was the North. The Northside was pretty close to ours, the distance only taking up two hours.

"Have you packed everything?" I asked Bellamy who was busily smoothening her dress as the driver packed the suitcases in the trunk.

"Yes. I have," she said without glancing at me.

"King, where do you want to head first, the castle, or the packhouse?" He asked from the passenger seat. A phone was pressed against his ear. He must've been speaking to the

Alpha of the North.

"Packhouse," I replied as I looked out at the natural scenery which was traveling alongside us.

"Bellamy, have you ever visited the Northside?" I asked hoping the conversation would flow.

"No, I haven't, sadly. But my father has with my mother. He told us that the Northside is like heaven," she said, and her words were a spark of lightning to my whole mood.

"Indeed. Northside is very breathtaking. The snow-covered mountains are inexpressible. It's

just like our Royal side, however, the weather here isn't that extreme," I replied.

"After the meeting and the survey with the Northside, I'll take you to a place which will take your breath away," I said as I smiled at her as she looked at me with a bright expression too.

"That sounds exciting! But where?" She looked at me expectantly.

"That is a secret. You'll know when you get there," I slightly smiled.

The journey continued with such conversations. Thankfully, the ride wasn't as awkward as I'd anticipated it'd be. Soon, we reached the north side and the packhouse.

The Alpha and some important wolf generals stood outside, welcoming us.

"Welcome, welcome. It's a pleasure to have you here, King," The Alpha said as he took a step forward to shake my hand. I accepted the genuine welcome as we headed inside.

"This is my beta, Dorian and the lady over here is my Mate and your Luna," I said making it clear to every wolfman who stared at my mate with awe.

"Oh, that's a lovely surprise!" He said." Go call Hilary, tell her that the King and Luna are here." The Alpha ordered his wolf member.

"Let's have a seat, King," he said as we sat in the office. By now, the Alpha's mate had come too, and she and Bellamy were talking a distance away from us, but I could hear every word they uttered.

"It's a joy to have you here, Luna," the Alpha's mate said as she offered Bellamy a cup of coffee.

"Please call me Bellamy," my mate said shyly. The Alpha's mate chuckled lightly and Bellamy looked at her dumbfoundedly.

"You're quite different, Luna. Us Alpha mates proudly declare ourselves Lunas, and here you are the mate of the king but you're saying that I mustn't address you as Luna." She stared at Bellamy in awe.

"King, I must say, you've got excellent leadership skills. Our pack is running very smoothly and no one seems to complain. However, the Southern side is raising trouble," The Alpha pulled me away from my eavesdropping.

"I would like to see the North training center when your wolves are trained," I said as I stood up from my seat.

"Yes, the training area is inside the packhouse. Come, I'll lead the way," he said. I looked at Bellamy and gave a nod.

"The training area was established mainly for the young adults who are striving to be a part of our wolf army," the Alpha told me as opened the door and we entered inside.

I was very impressed when I took in everything. There was a battle arena in the middle of the room, the room itself was massive to fit in all the machinery. There were bodybuilding

machines, weight losing ones, and as well as different sorts of punching bags according to the body type of the wolf.

Currently, two young wolves were fighting in the arena. Even though werewolves can heal fast, there was a medicare unit inside this training unit. I made my way towards the arena where the fight was taking place.

At the corner of my eye, I saw my mate entering the training arena. I whispered something in the Alpha's ear and he looked at me with a shocking look but nodded to what I said.

"Listen up everybody, the King is here. And he would like to have a one on one or a one against a group fight! This is going to be a friendly fight so don't worry. Now tell me who's up

for it?" He screamed for the whole unit to hear.

At first, nobody replied, probably in fear. My mate was staring at me with a shocked look and I couldn't help but smirk.

"I see, you all are working hard to attain a position in the army and I give you my word, the one who comes here and fights against me will have a permanent spot," I said. Only one person stepped forward.

"I will, King." A boy in his late teens came forward. The boy must've been eighteen or nineteen and wasn't properly built. The wolves around us started laughing at the boy.

"SILENCE" I yelled. "Each one of you has no right to laugh at the boy. You pathetic coward wolves should go back to your mothers. None of you deserves a position in the army except for this boy, Alpha I want this boy to be a part of the team and make him train with the best trainers you have," I said as I walked and stood in the middle of the arena.

"You can't even stand in front of me and you expect to fight my enemies? Look at this boy, he's much younger than you he's just a child yet he has the courage, the ability, the strength of bravery inside him. Instead of laughing at him, laugh at yourselves!" I said.

I stood still in front of the boy and asked him to punch, kick, and hit me as hard as he could.

The boy used all his strength and power to make me flinch. There was not a single doubt that he wasn't holding himself back, instead, he used whatever he had. I admired his strength.

"You are going to go much ahead in the future," I said as I ruffled his hair.

The journey from the Northside to the south took us four hours. Bellamy looked tired and I could see her yawning from time to time. She was forcefully making herself stay awake

which wasn't necessary, however, I didn't say anything.

I wasn't tired because I was accustomed to being like this. I am a Lycan King and I barely get tired so for me to sleep was pointless. After a few minutes, I felt a lightweight on my shoulder. I looked sideways and saw my mate resting her head on my shoulders.

She was almost asleep and I couldn't help but stare at her beautiful face.

"Don't speed the car, drive as slowly as you can. We don't need to rush things," I instructed the driver.

The speed could disturb Bellamy's sleep and I didn't want that to happen.

As the journey continued at a slow speed, I found myself thinking about the past; about when Bellamy had first entered the castle, not at the ball but when she'd come here to live.

I'd been dumb to ignore her presence. I felt as if she's the one that was lifting the curse off of me.

I was feeling emotions that I'd never felt for anyone. I felt as if I was falling in love with her. She was a dream that I never wanted to end. When she'd first come to the Castle, I'd ignored her because I'd felt as if it was pointless to acknowledge her.

But even my ignorance didn't work and I found myself getting attached to her. With Luciano around, I felt very possessive not only for my family but for my mate too. I had a feeling that Luciano was still holding a grudge and I felt as if his arrival here brought danger to my family.

By now, Bellamy had completely fallen asleep. A few strands of her hair were covering her face and hiding her beauty from me. I brought my hand to her face and placed the strands behind her ear. I caressed her soft cheeks and she snuggled further into the crook of my neck. I felt a smile, a genuine smile surfacing itself on my face. I continued caressing her face.

We were only an hour and a half away from the southern side and Bellamy woke up. She didn't move an inch from her place and her head was still on my shoulder and I didn't mind.

"Do you feel something now, Vincentius?" She asked. I saw her eyes waver down to her hands that were clamped onto each other.

My name had sounded so beautiful coming out of her mouth. "I feel more than you expected, Bellamy," I replied, surprising her.

"Really?" She said with excitement in her voice. I chuckled and nodded.

I could sense the happiness which was radiating off of her and that made me happy too. I was finally feeling happy. Genuinely happy because of an angel sitting beside me. I kissed her forehead as we reached the Southern Side.
