Bellamy Rose

IT FELT like a dream. A fantasy that felt too good to be true. Fortunately, it wasn't a dream but it felt like one. I never wanted to get out of. I wanted to feel every part of it forever, I wanted to play it on repeat. Vincent's confession was the only thing that made me content. Yes, I was his mate and the bond felt wondrous too but not as marvelous as the words that I heard from his mouth last night.

After his confession, we stayed together in each other's warmth for a few hours enjoying how the sun came down and the moon came up. And I wanted to spend the rest of our lives with each other as we see numerous sunsets and sunrises. When we came back to our motel, Vincent had gone with his beta and wolf general to make some arrangements with the new Alpha Rowan.

I was glad that the Alpha was changed. I mean, the ex Alpha was nothing but a nuisance. Not only did he not imply to Vincent's order but he treated the other wolves so badly. He used to debase them a lot. The change was much needed!

It was currently nine-pm and I was tired and somnolent too. I changed my clothes and went to bed and waited for sleep to come for me. While I was sleeping, I felt the bed dip on the other side as a light touch was felt on my forehead.

"I told you, my sweet girl, you will surmount the world. And you did," Mama said as I saw myself in one of the most appealing places to ever exist. Butterflies were flying around with fog covering mountains and valleys. A huge river stream was flowing towards our side. Everything was mystic. I felt as if I was in my reverie world.

"I am so happy Mother. I feel full. I feel as if my dreams have finally become fulfilled," I said as I expressed my thoughts.

"I know my sweet child. I told you, you were going to receive your share of love. But my baby, every share comes from a price. To balance our life, we have an equal amount of good peaceful time and an equal amount of hard times," Mother said as her face stressed a look of concern that instantly made me wary.

"What do you mean, mother?" I asked as I came closer to her. She grabbed my face softly as she caressed it.

"You are going to face many hardships along your and Vincent's path. Many thorns and obstacles are yet to come," she said trying to explain to me something, trying to give me a hint.

"But Mama, the biggest obstacle has been cleared. The curse on Vincent is finally lifted. What bigger obstacle could come other than this one?" I asked the mother trying to reassure her that everything is fine.

"No, NO Bellamy. Listen to me, I don't have much time to explain each and everything to you. Now that Vincent has uncovered himself and has drawn attention not only to himself but towards you too, his demons will come. His enemies are coming. And they won't just strike him but you too..." Mother said as she disappeared into the fog like ashes thrown in the river. I tried to search for her but I couldn't find her.

"Mother, Mother. Mama come back, I don't understand," I cried helplessly before I woke up.

My eyes instantly jot opened. It was five in the morning. Vincent was sleeping pacifically beside me. I swallowed the lump that was forming in my throat. The dream that I had with my mother was yet to make sense to me. I couldn't understand what message or hint she was trying to give. I tried to recall the dream but it was so lucid. However, I only remember one thing that my mother said.

'Now that Vincent has uncovered himself and have drawn attention not only to himself but towards you too, his demons will come. His enemies are coming. And they won't just strike him but you too.'

I started stroking my head because it was slightly throbbing- I decided to take a shower which could somehow put me in ease.

I came out of the bathroom and saw Vincent wide awake sitting on the bed in deep thought. As soon as he felt my presence he looked up and smiled. I realized Vincent had a small dimple on the side of his chin that looked very adorable.

"A penny for your thoughts?" I asked as I went towards the vanity and brushed my hair.

''Nothing, I was just wondering how the new Alpha would work," Vincent said. I hummed in reply.

"We'll see that. He's going to work well. Don't worry," I said as I tried to give a positive boost. He looked at me and smiled before giving a nod and going to the washroom.

Since Vincent was in the bathroom, I decided to call Sophia and tell her that I'd be coming to the Eastern side very soon. I wanted to surprise everyone but I had this funny feeling in my stomach as I was very excited. I mean, telling Sophia wouldn't hurt?

I dialed her number and placed the phone to my ear.

"Hello? Who's this? Wait I don't receive calls from a stranger. Okay, bye-bye," She said as she started blabbering.

"Oh come on, cut the dramatic act. I have to tell you something! But if you're continuing to act like this then okay fine. As you wish," I said knowing Sophia, she would instantly pull off the drama.

"Geez. Okay okay, tell me what's up," She said. I could imagine her rolling her eyes.

"Get ready. Vincent and I are coming to the Eastern side by tomorrow," I said excitedly. Sophia didn't say anything for at least five seconds.

"YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME." A piercing scream shattered my eardrum. I instantly removed the phone from my ear and groaned.

"Sophia," I whined.

"Bye," I snapped. I get annoyed when people screamed like that knowing that I was a full-grown werewolf that has sensitive super hearing.

We were back in on the road. We were currently on our way to meet the new Alpha. I was very happy to meet him and his family and most of all to thank his mother for raising such a generous man. I am sure his mate would be a lucky one.

Our car stopped outside what seemed like a small village. Feeling curious I asked Vincent as to why did our car stop here. ''Why did we stop here?" I asked him while looking out of the window seeing little kids running around with nothing but shorts on. I smiled at the sight.

"Rowan's house is just at a little distance. I was informed that people from this village were eagerly waiting for us. They've arranged a small welcome," He said as a smile danced on his face. He was happy which made me happy too.

My heart instantly warmed up as I caught little kids trying to get a look at us.

We got out of the car. The elders of the village came forward and were about to bow when Vincent shook his head and bowed to them instead. "I've been taught not to let elders like you bow in front of me, instead it would be disrespectful if I didn't bow," He said as he held onto one of the elder's hands. The elders looked at Vincent with such a proud look that it almost brought me into tears. I felt a connection with the elders.

"This must be our Queen," One of the female elders came and hugged me. I smiled at her and nodded.

"She is beautiful," She whispered in my ear and I mumbled a thank you.

They ushered us inside and as soon as we stepped in the village we were welcomed with music. People were dancing with their kids in circles. One of the girls- probably in their late teens took my hand and asked me to dance. At first, I was very hesitant but later I joined in. It looked like a traditional dance as people were dancing in circles, I was hopeless in copying them but I tried my best.

The dances stopped as a very old elder came towards Vincent and me and joined our hands. The old elder looked probably in her late eighties as she was supported by another girl.

"I knew that there was someone out there handling the packs. Vincentius, do you know who I am?" She asked my mate as she gave him a sly look.

"I am sorry, I don't," Vincent said. I just noticed that there was so much resemblance between Vincent and the elder. Were they related? I thought.

"How's my granddaughter?" She asked giving Vincent a hint. Granddaughter? Who's her granddaughter?

"Oh silly boy, how's Aurora?" She chuckled. Wait, the queen is her granddaughter? What a small world.

"Madré Aura," Vincent exclaimed as he instantly brought the elder in a bone-crushing hug. She started chuckling and patting the back of Vincent.

"My boy, I feared you might have forgotten about this old lady," she joked as Vincent kissed her forehead.

"Madré never, no," He said as he ushered me forward, introducing me to her.

"Madré she's my mate," He said as the elder looked at me with shock. Instantly, her eyes filled up with tears as she brought me in for a hug.

"You were the chosen one," she whispered. Chosen one?

"Madré we are here to meet the new Alpha, Rowan," Vincent said. A man in his late thirties came forward and shook hands with my mate.

"Alpha Rowan, I need to have a meeting with you," Vincent said as he and the Alpha started going the other way. Vincent looked back and gave a nod.

"Come, sweetheart, I need to tell you some things," the elder said as both of us started walking towards the fields.

We sat at a field. Elder Aura dismissed her maid, she looked at me and smiled.

"You are the chosen one. Vincent is the King of all Alpha's, he was the chosen one. His father wasn't a king, his arrogant self titled himself as a king. Vincent was cursed which you already know, and you lifted that curse which made you the chosen one too," She explained

"You're also a witch?" I asked wanting to ask this question.

"Yes. I am Aurora's grandmother. Aurora's mother was a witch too but she died early, her name was Auriael, "

"Bellamy, do you know about the 'heat stage' when a mate goes through one," She asked and I shook my head.

Heat stage? What's that?

"When mates are introduced to the mate bond they feel attraction and desire for one another. Soon after the pairs find each other, the female mate goes through a process of heat. Now, the stage is quite excruciating. The female mate feels this unbearable pain as if her bones are breaking.

The pain can only get less when her mate is around her. However, when the mate is going under this stage, the unmated males feel this uncontrollable desire for the female going through heat," She said. I didn't feel the heat stage. Do I have a problem? A medical one? I started panicking a little bit.

"No sweetheart, you don't have a problem. You're an exception to this stage."

"How do you know all this?" I asked warily.

"I am a witch, an old one. I have some certain powers that are given to me. You must be wondering why I am still alive? Technically I was born when this universe was created. Yes, don't fear me I am that old but now I feel like an old woman," she joked which made me ease up a little bit.

"You're that old?" I said with widened eyes. She nodded as she chuckled.

The welcome was tremendous and it made me feel happy. They welcomed us because they love us.

I finally met my great grandmother, Madré Aura. My grandmother died because she tried lifting off the curse off me which was forbidden. Her coven banished her from any future magic and took away here power which was to age late. So slowly and steadily we watched her die.

"Rowan, you know why I chose you to be an Alpha, right? I don't want you to disappoint me. I want you to know that you can call me up anytime if you're having any sort of conflict or difficulty," I said looking towards him as he nodded silently making a promise with me.

"There will be a ceremony for you. My wolf general will be here and so will my beta but your queen and I have other places to attend," I continued. Bellamy and I had to go to the Eastern side so that she could meet her family and friends. We also have to visit the Western side and then we had to head home.

I even had to plan a ceremony for Bellamy. The marking of Queen. It would be grand and she deserved it.

After discussing more the Pack system with Alpha Rowan, I decided to head towards Bellamy and bid Goodbye to the village and my great grandmother. It would get dark too and the journey would also take some time.

I walked towards Madre and Bellamy.

I cleared my throat to grasp my mates attention who was busy and engrossed to what Madré Aura was telling her. Madré looked at me and smiled.

"Come, my boy," She said as she scooted towards Bellamy and patted the space next to her.

"Stay the night over, Vincent," she said.

"I would but not today, Madré. I've got some places to attend." I explained and she nodded.

"I am afraid but we'll have to leave soon. It was lovely spending time here," I continued. Madré looked at me and hugged us.

"I understand. Take care of each other. Be each other's strengths because there's more to come." with that we stood up and went towards our car.

Both Bellamy and I bid our goodbyes to the people and the kids. The village was a place that I'd come to visit.

We sat in the car and continued our journey to my mate's home town.
