Luciano's POV
I WAS waiting. Waiting for the pesky little King and his mate. It's been days and I can't monitor any longer. It's quite a tad bit tempting to restrain the monster that only wants to come out and claw everyone, every skin. I know the King and the little mate will come back soon. Come back to the trap that is waiting for them.
Every time I look at their happy faces, they joyous smiles, their body radiating nothing but happiness makes my blood boil. I can physically feel the heat of the boiling of my blood. Whenever I see them peacefully breathing it makes me think about the time where my father gasped for his last breath. It's not easy for me to forget those tormented thoughts. It's more than difficult.
Currently, I was sitting in the usual Northern Parks. My infected wolves just informed me that the King and the mate are currently in the Eastern side having the time of their lives, getting comfortable in each other's warmth.
The kids over here were playing with each other. Funny, they are out here alone. No guardian watching them. They are easy targets to tone down the thirst of blood; to quench my thirst. I see them running around, chasing one another. How silly.
I smiled at one of the kids who looked at me shyly. I could sense and feel the pumping of his blood. How softly his heart was beating. It wouldn't even take a second to rip that little heart to shreds, to feel the blood, to taste it.
I can practically feel the inner monster wanting to come out and kill these innocent stupid kids into pieces. To devour them. Easy there. It's been a while since I've gone on one hunting spree and as I look here and there I don't see a single mature soul to even take down me or to save these little kids.
I caught the same kid coming towards me, waving at me as he sat beside me. He didn't look over three which was fantastic. Young blood was always a delicious one. I grinned widely. Little did the kid know that this would be his last moments.
"Do you want candy?" I smiled at him and asked him innocently.
He nodded eagerly. How stupid. The boy wants himself to get killed. I grabbed his hand as softly as I could feel his thin bones. How my monster wanted to snap them into two. I got up and motioned the boy to follow me in the woods.
"Do you know, when I was a kid my mother used to tell me not to trust strangers?" I said and he looked at me almost admiring me. Silly boy.
"Do you trust me? Do you want chocolate?" I could see the slight hesitancy in the boy's eyes but it soon vanished when I mentioned the word chocolate.
"Come," I said as we went further deep into the woods. It was isolated. No one could hear anything from here. It was my first and final shot.
"I will give you the chocolate on one condition," I told him as I brought his hand near my mouth.
"Yes," He said, his voice small and timid. I am such a monster, I don't even feel sorry for this kid.
My eye color shifted to black. The kid looked at me in horror and before he could scream I snapped his neck. And then, pin-drop silence. I started my meal.
*******
After what felt like an eternity of blissful moments. I heard a faint voice of leaves getting crunched. I got alerted. Who wanted to be the desert? I wasn't even done with my meal when the moon goddess decided to bless me with another dish as well.
I looked like a monster. Blood was splattered on my face like paint. I wiped my face with the back of my palm as I jumped on the tree and hid. I could easily sense the person coming closer and closer. Poor person, another death.
The person came and was shocked to see the corpse of the kid. I must've forgotten to dispose of the kid. Great, I wouldn't want an eye witness now. I waited for three seconds and lunged on the man. He screamed as I bit his neck. Blood came oozing out of him as I sucked and drained out the blood out of him like a vampire. One of my inner talents.
I brought my canines back. Another poor soul. I was not even sorry. And yet again, my beast came out and did his work. His work, his art and devoured the masterpiece.

Bellamy Rose
The next morning it dawned to me that Vincent had to leave today for his visit to the Westside. I groaned on the thought. Did he have to go himself? Cant he sends his beta, Dorian or third in command Damien. Now that I have been so close to Vincent, I can't see myself without him. I've become so dependent upon him. I need him with me at all times. I need his presence. Somehow, just his presence can calm and soothe me. Without him I feel empty, I feel left out.
It was early in the morning so I walked in Vincent's room. He was still asleep, of course, he would be, it's five in the morning, I thought to myself. The sun wasn't even clear up, only it's faint rays could be seen.
I sat on the bed and started roaming my hand through his hair. He has the softest hair that I could ever feel. He stirred in his sleep and I froze not wanting him to wake up or to catch me in my act.
"Don't stop?" He said in his sleepy voice. Goddess, this voice.
"Come on, you need to get up. The Mighty King has a side to visit," I joked causing him to groan.
"Earth to Bellamy," I heard him say. His face was pressed against his pillow so his voice came out muffled. I couldn't help but laugh.
"Vincent," I protested. The early he goes then early he'll come.
"Five more minutes," He said. I tried getting up but failed miserably. His grip was so strong. I huffed in response.
After counting to five, I once again started shaking his upper arm. "Vincent gets up or else I'll splash that icy cool water on you as well." I threatened.
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever. Do it," He said subconsciously.
I finally freed myself from his grip and tip-toed towards the bathroom. I closed the bathroom door and started waiting for the water to get full. I snickered to myself. I've been acting mischief a lot lately.
I once again carried a bucket full of water. And as per my plan, the water soon came in contact with my mates back. Not to forget, the water was really cold because of the weather. My mate instantly sat on the bed and winced as the sudden shiver ran down his spine.
I innocently smiled at him. I decided to run but unfortunately, my mate soon caught me. My back hit his chest as I felt his laughter. "Look what the cat dragged in," He said as tightened his hold on me.
"What shall I do with you, my mate?" He asked in a deep voice.
"How about you let me go?" I suggested the idea of innocently as I batted my eyelashes at him. I hope my innocence free me.
"Nope, Nada those cute buttoned eyes won't melt me," He said.
I played with the pendant he gifted me yesterday. I soon realized that I haven't thanked him yet.
"Oh and thank you so much for this pendant. You don't know how much I wanted this one, my heart was set on getting it but it wasn't on sale," I said finally looking at him.
"I know. I overheard your conversation with the woman. And I read your sad expression," He said as he looked at my pendant and then at me.
"By the way, how did you convince her?" I asked raising an eyebrow.
"I may have used my power," he replied that came out more of a question.
I fake gasped and looked at him narrowed eyes. "No you didn't, Vincent," I said. I was joking which he knew.
"Oh I did," He said in the same tone.
Sophia came barging into the room as if she owned the place ruining our little moment.
I internally groaned.
"Oh Goddess, I am so sorry! Please carry on by all means," she said and scurried out of the room.
"I'll make breakfast," I said and I also quickly exited the room.
Sophia and I were all dressed up. We were in the kitchen making breakfast for everyone. Papa was reading his daily newspaper in the lounge whereas Vincent was nowhere to be seen. I still couldn't get over my little prank earlier in the morning. I was becoming like Lukas. His mischievous attitude was rubbing on me.
It's been a while since I've last contacted the family. I miss them and Lukas too. They have become a set of me now. Smiling at the thought of them Sophia decided to question me about my strange and weird situation in the morning.
Both of us starting placing the dishes on the dining table as I heard Vincent's footsteps descending downstairs. The breakfast looked delicious. Pancakes were freshly made, croissants were baked and scrambled eggs looked mouthwatering.
"Smells good," Papa said from the living room. I called him for breakfast.
All four of us sat on the dining table munching on our foods.
"Uncle Leo, I will be going to the western side for half a day or maybe full if I'm needed. Bellamy will stay here and when I come back, we'll have to leave. Mother is quite missing her daughter over here," This was the first time I heard Vincent referring my father as an uncle. And what made my heart melt was because Queen Aurora considered me as her daughter.
"Okay, not an issue. I am glad you both came here to meet this old man," Papa said jokingly.
"You sure have become an old man, Uncle Leo," Sophia said causing everyone to chuckle.
After eating out breakfast, I was in Vincent's room. I was leaning near the door frame watching him pack his luggage. He looked at me and raised an eyebrow questioning me but I shook my head.
Goddess, I am missing him already.

Vincentius Dante
I was packing some clothes and essentials for my visit to the Western side. I know I had to go and thinking otherwise will do nothing except make me feel sad. Bellamy was standing near the door and I could see pouting. As much as I wanted to stay I knew I had to do what's important as well.
After packing up, I decided to bid my goodbyes. I walked in the living room and Bellamy trailed behind. Everyone was waiting for me eagerly.
"It was nice to have you around, son" Uncle Leo said.
I have never seen a man as amazing as Bellamy's father. When Bellamy's mother died, he had the choice to abandon her or count her accountable for his wife's death but he didn't. He chose to give his daughter the life that only a few parents can imagine.
He not only played the role of a father, but he was there for Bellamy like a mother, a sibling, and most of all a friend. And I have such high regard for him.
If only my father was the same...
After meeting with everyone I exited the house with Bellamy who hadn't said anything till now.
"Won't you say anything?" I asked as I glanced at her.
"Stay safe and come soon." was the only thing that came out of her mouth. I nodded and stopped. I made her look at me and I hugged her for as long as she wanted. When she had her moment she looked at me and I kissed her forehead. A gesture that I loved showering her with.
"I will come back in no time," I smiled at her and she returned my smile just not with the same glow or extent as she did usually.
Soon I reached the Western side. I mentally noted to wrap up the meeting and visit as quickly as I could because I had a mate and a family to return to. Upon reaching there I was welcomed by the Alpha of the western side who I met at the ball too.
"It's such a great honor to have you, king. We've been waiting for this day since forever," He said as he showed genuine happiness.
"It's my pleasure, Alpha," I said. We entered inside and the interior castle looked graceful. It was simple and easily could be seen the Alpha hadn't spent much on making his castle lavish. I was highly impressed.
"King, I must say, the new security has been very helpful. Not only have the attacks been minimized and on top of that, but we can also easily detect any mysterious activities going around in the pack," The alpha said looking pleased.
"The attacks are still going on?" I questioned showing my utmost concern.
"Yes, King. They aren't as frequent as they were before. Now we have at least one attack every four to six," He said.
"But, we are always prepared and no drastic damage takes place," He added and I nodded.
"It is good that your wolves are prepared at all times but I think I need to further dig in with these attacks," I said. These attacks were odd.
"Come I'll show you the rest of the pack," The Alpha said and I nodded.
The pack was beautiful. It was seen that the Alpha had spent its money on the people more than himself. The western side's people were also quite welcoming. The security system was working excellently too.
I even saw the footage of the attacks. The attacks take place in the night where everything is dark but that doesn't matter because wolves can sense things sharply in the dark. What irked me the most was that the attackers were able to withstand silver.
Silver is the only element that can stop or halt the healing process of a wolf. And these wolves, infected wolves can withstand silver which is rare or impossible. Only the King which is me can withstand it but also not for too long.
The wolves looked experimented. Which means that they went through a process that made them the way they are. And who on their right minds would want to challenge me by going against myself? Who dared to even think about this?
