Chapter 7: ♔︎|𝐅𝐢𝐯𝐞

Vincentius Dante

"BELLAMY ROSE Valentino, I've met her," Lukas said with a smirk. I didn't know that the Ex-Alpha had a daughter.

"Daddy, daddy play with me," Vincent's five-year-old self said to his father who was busy with the Kingdom's paperwork, sparing no glance at his son who watched him with a plea in his eyes as he tried to grab his father's shirt.

"Get away from me. What a hassle! where's your mother? Aurora get him away from me, he's disturbing me," Vincent's father said while pushing him. Vincent fell on the wooden floor injuring his leg which had a big deep scratch.

Poor Vincent still stood up and with wobbled feet and went towards his father again to show him how painfully he was hurt, "Daddy it-it hurts, it hurts so badly," said Vincent trying hard not to cry but his eyes soon said otherwise as tears started to fall. He tried to reach for his father's hand which was on the office table but luck didn't take Vincent's side as he knocked the glass of water onto the paperwork.

"You swine! How dare you! You're not a boy Vincentius and can never be,'' Nicholas said and slapped Vincent's face. Little Vincent could not handle such crude words and ran away from his father who shifted in his beast form, huge red hawk-like eyes glared at Vincent as the beast growled. Vincent ran as fast as he could to try and find some sort of protection from the beast. Nicholas purposely stayed behind his son to make him more afraid, it was a sickening game for Nicholas.

Nicholas within seconds changed into his human form and grabbed poor Vincent's arm severely as he dragged him towards the cave where lifeless people were half-buried. The stench of the rotten bodies could be smelled from far away, it was a nightmare for Vincent.

He tried and cried to his father, apologizing for a mistake which he wasn't even accountable for but Nicholas didn't even hear a single word. Vincent cried and screamed on top of his lungs hoping someone would hear him but no one did. Vincent's mother was not around to save him too, neither were Lukas or Hernan, baby Genevieve wasn't even born yet.

Cries were heard in the hallway but no one dared to even lookup. Little Vincent was dragged towards the cave which was his most fearful nightmare. As he arrived at the cave, poor Vincent collapsed at the sight of rotten bodies scattered about.

"Wake up you filthy boy! Look at them, here lies your past, your present, and your future. You will never forget that you were born and raised here, these dead people represent you, represent a failure. you're that failure, you worthless stiff. Raising a pig would've been better than raising you," Harsh words were spoken from the beast, a beast which not only little Vincent was afraid of but the whole kingdom, every single pack feared the beast.

An abomination they called him, an insult to the werewolf gene, to their existence. No power on earth could destroy him, not even the wonder witches, no spell controlled him. But then there came a mighty witch, Aura who cast such a spell that stopped his ability, an ability to age late. He was cursed to age early hence within a few centuries he got sick, tired and most of all weak and old.

Every night he waited for Vincent to come and sit beside him to show some sort of remorse, to care for his dying father but karma never spares anyone and it didn't even spare Nicholas. He had sown his seeds, seeds that destroyed hearts, destroyed his relationship with his family.

And just like that years passed and Vincent never came to Nicholas. While on his last breaths, Nicholas's last wish which was not accepted which was to see Vincent's face for the last time, to apologize but faith tricked him and he died.

Death of the beast was celebrated worldwide, then Vincent had to take over. There is no doubt that people fear Vincent. But deep down people know that each of their breaths is due to Vincent's mercy, people fear him but they know he's their only source of survival. Without the mighty Vincentius, there would be no pack on the face of the earth.

"King when are you planning for your revelation and how shall we plan it?" Asked one of my generals waking me up from one of my dark phases.

"Soon. I will reveal myself soon. And in time you all shall know my plan too," I said monotonously.

Bellamy Rose

"Ah, come on Belle stop whining let's race," Sophia said while running around in circles like a madwoman while I sat on one of the tree's broken branch as I inhaled the smell of forestry rain.

The Eastern forest is by far the most beautiful forest amongst all the other side's. High tall trees stood next to each other preventing the east from strong destructive winds coming from the Northern mountains. Streams and rivers are running in every corner of the forest. Just in the middle of it had a beautiful waterfall that was covered with rainbows and fog looking like a part of heaven.

Sophia stopped right Infront of me and grabbed my hands to make me stand up with her. "Shift Belle, come on, I am bored now," she whined.

I nodded while rolling my eyes. We shifted together and I howled at her signalling her that I am up for the race. We started the race shortly. I ran as fast as I could, dodging every branch that came in my way. The forest had many wild animals and just in front of me stood a deer who was eating grass. It must've felt our presence as it looked up with wide eyes. I ran and ran and jumped over it, landing smoothly on the land.

We had to finish the race In front of the waterfall, just after jumping over the deer I stopped right In front of the it. I was shocked to see that I was the first one there and as I looked behind me I saw Sophia coming shortly after, she whined yet again with her wolf-like voice.

We both shifted back to our human forms and sat at the edge and right In front of the waterfall. Different types of butterflies were flying around us and sitting on beautiful plants. Plants of all types were growing here, they smelled so beautiful that I felt as if I'm flying in the air.

"Hey Belle, we are nineteen now and we haven't found our mates yet. I feel so embarrassed In front of other couples, are we cursed, Bellamy?" She asked, hurt evident on her face.

"No Soph, don't say like this, moon Goddess won't disappoint us. Maybe there's someone else out there that's waiting for us, just as we are," I explained patiently to her hoping it might change her mood.

"Our mates aren't from the Eastern side, they belong to different sides. When we find them, will we have to leave?" she asked. Even though the answer was clear yet whenever I think about it, it makes me sad. It makes me want to stay with papa for the rest of my life. But I know that the bond is way too strong for me to just reject it or ignore it for that matter.

"As much as I hate to admit Sophia, I think we'll have to. From what I've heard from people the bond is way too strong for us to ignore. It takes so much will power, so much for a person to let it go."

While we were talking, my phone started to ring and Dominic's name flashed on the screen.

"What's up?" I asked over the phone.

"Where are you guys?" he asked, "At the waterfall," I replied and he ended the call abruptly.

"Well, I guess Domi is coming," Sophia muttered. Her mood was still off and she was sulking over the fact that we haven't met our mates yet. But in time we will. I know we will.

"I knew you guys would be here. I just wanted to confirm," Dominic said from behind us. "Oh and Sophia I have to tell you something," he said wiggling his eyebrows at me.

"Speak," she said raising her eyebrows at him. I nudged Sophia to chill and lighten up her mood.

"I found my mate," he said. Sophia's face lit up with happiness. She started to stand up to hug Dominic but instead she fell in the water splashing it on us. Dominic and I laughed our hearts out. I stood up and made my way towards Dominic, little did he know that I was about to push him. I went behind him and pushed him with great force.

And that is how we ended in the icy cool water, let's just hope we don't end up getting sick.

"Okay okay, that's it I am out. I don't want to get sick," I said surrendering myself. We all got out of the water and tried drying ourselves but failed badly.

"Aachoow." Dominic sneezed while running his nose harshly, someone did get sick after all.

"Aww, poor baby. What is he going to say to his mate now?" Sophia teased him and pinched his cheek. Dominic slapped her hand away and glared at her.

"This is all because of Bellamy right over here, you shouldn't have pushed me, Belle. You know how my flu takes ages to go away. What am I going to say to her? We have a date and all I'll do is rub my nose," Dominic said with a sad face.

It made me feel guilty, I was so caught up in the moment that I didn't realize how badly Dominic had gotten sick. "Oh, I'm so sorry Domi. I didn't mean to do this. I was just trying to have some fun. I'm sorry," I said guilt evident in my voice. Dominic just shrugged and said it's okay and hugged me. We decided to go to my place to relax for a little bit.

"And please don't call me Domi," said Dominic feeling annoyed. And we just laughed it off.
