Three days later.)
Iken: *at her house* Hmm... healing? Interesting... I thought physicians studied physics... they are very smart...
Iken's little sister (Hazomi): TEEHE! *bouncing cutely* ^^ BIG SIS IKEN HAS THE BEST JOB IN THE WORLD!
Iken: This is not my job...
Hazomi: Uh-oh, so I was wrong. I really thought you were a physician!
Iken: It's nothing important. *she slightly looked away*
Iken's mother: What are you studying at such a time?
Iken: I am studying about the role of physicians and the School of Medicine's accreditation standards.
Hazomi: *excited*
Iken: *still studying*
Hazomi: *is jumping on the bed and yelling*
Iken: Shush! Do not yell! You'll wake our aunt!
Hazomi: Aw... would auntie still be asleep if I jumped on her back?
Iken: No.
Hazomi: *cries intensely, pouts a lot*
Iken: Fine. There. *gives her an eclair* I just finished making them for her but there are way too many of them left, now eat.
Hazomi: *eating the eclair* Mmmm.... *blushes, eyes shining* Soooo tasty! Auntie! Mommy! Iken gave me an eclair! Iken gave me an eclair! *her hair antenna goes high then left*
Iken: *leaves*
Hazomi: Oh, hey! I'll keep an eye on your washed clothes and smooth them like a grown-up!
Iken: That's great, Hazomi. Thank you, but I have to leave now.
Hazomi went to do so but her smoothing-iron was overheating just in time.)
Hazomi: Eeeeeh!
Iken: Oh my goodness... not again..
---
Iken's mother: *entering the room* So... what do you want to do today before going to our appointment with the physician?
Iken: I don't... know.
Iken's father: You're going to the physician? I swear, I believed we were free from things today.
Iken: But we are always busy most of the time... *she posed her second finger next to her lips* We have a meeting to do with one.
Iken's father: Okay...
Iken: For real.
---
The next hour, Iken and her mother arrive where the physician is.)
Iken's mother: Okay, so this is the place. Looks like we're still on schedule.
Physician: Your knowledge is impressive, Miss Iken. We are here today to make a point of your current situation and a diagnosis.
Iken's mother: Hmm... excuse me, but... what is the current situation about?
Physician: I'll explain it to you. The current situation is that... I am still trying to figure out the exact reason why she's here but I've got the idea of a general outline. I have some questions. Miss Iken, how many friends do you have?
Iken: I don't have friends. Not many that I could remember.
Physician: Do you have any siblings?
Iken: Yes, a younger sister.
Physician: And she is your only sibling?
Iken: Correct.
Physician: Alright. I understand. Now, Miss Iken... do you feel like there is a part of your life that has not been fulfilled yet?
Iken: I haven't...
She then looked away.)
Iken: Recently, I've gotten an allergy... and that makes me feel miserable.
Physician: I see. Allergies, huh?
Iken: That's right.
Physician: What have you been exposed to?
Iken: I think I have an allergy to flowers.
Iken's mother: But... flowers are beautiful and smell good.
Iken: Not for me. I was just born that way, mom. I can't smell anything strong enough, and now, I'm having trouble breathing near them.
Physician: *he nods* It is a very rare allergy indeed, and a very difficult one. I don't have anything in store, so I'll try to see what I can find.
Iken: O-Okay.
---
Arigaoa: Where is Iken? I've been looking for her for so long...
Shikuna: She has something important to do, she said she can't join us right now.
Arigaoa: But I discovered a new openinger, and I just saw it in the central office.
Mine: That... sounds like an unconventional place for an item to be here.
Arigaoa: Yeah, I guess you could say it's weird, and the place is famous for its bizarre visitors. The office has seen some peculiar things in the past, I heard.
Mine: I meant "unconventional" in a way that an office isn't fitting for this thing but what you said improved my point then.
---
Physician: I'm afraid there's not much we can do here, Miss Iken. I cannot give you something to relieve it since you have such a severe case of allergic rhinitis.
Iken: It's okay. I don't mind being without medication.
Iken's mother: Oh, and I thought the physician would give you something for you to get over the allergy.
Physician: Unfortunately, I have nothing to offer. I will see if I can find something that will be able to cure the symptoms, and it will take time, but for now, it would be best to avoid places where you are exposed to flowers.
Iken: I see. Thanks, doc. *she smiles, then leaves*
Physician: Wait, we are not finished yet.
Iken's mother: It's because of her personality.
Physician: Her... personality?
Iken's mother: She always says 'It's okay' or 'It doesn't matter'. She is not as cheerful as other people, either.
Iken: Please, mom... I try to be... cheerful.
Iken's mother: Really?
Iken: N-No...
Physician: That is interesting. I am very concerned. I would like to know more about the relationship between her and her family and friends.
Iken: *blushes* But, but I have none...
Iken's mother: Aw, you're blushing. You look so flustered, my dearie.
Iken: I'm not! Huh... *sighs* sorry for my sudden reaction.
Physician: Don't worry, it's fine. You have every right to say what's on your mind.
Iken: It's not fine. I just had no reaction like this.
Physician: You can leave now, but don't forget to come back when the time comes.
Iken's mother: Yes.
They left the clinic.)
---
Iken: That went worse than expected.
Iken's mother: Don't worry. Everything will turn out alright.
Iken: I hope so.
A few seconds later, she then noticed a flower.)
Iken: *sneezes* Ah-choo!
Iken: Flowers are... everywhere...
Iken's mother: Well, this is what you get for having an allergy.
Iken: Ugh, not again...
---
Iken went back to her house.)
Hazomi: Hi, Iken!
Iken: Oh, Hazomi. Hey, are you feeling okay?
Hazomi: Uh-huh, yup, yup!
Iken: I'm still not feeling good...
Hazomi: Why? What's going on?
Iken: Nothing.
Hazomi: But you sound down.
Iken: I don't care...
Hazomi: What happened at the clinic?
Iken: Nothing, they didn't find anything.
Hazomi: Really? Oh... I'm sorry.
Iken: Yeah. I feel miserable.
Hazomi: Maybe that's not all bad, though. You can get to spend more time with your family and friends!
Iken: No, I can't.
Hazomi: Why not?
Iken: Because nobody cares about me.
Hazomi: I know somebody who does.
Iken: Oh, yeah? Who?
Hazomi: Me! I mean, if you don't count anyone else.
Iken: No. Nobody cares about me.
Hazomi: I bet if you gave someone a chance, they would.
Iken: No. And that's that.
Hazomi: Why do you have to be such a jerk, sis?
Iken: *stares*
Hazomi: Why aren't you nice to anybody?
Iken then started crying somewhere else.)
Iken: (thinking: I'm sorry... I'll try to be better.)
---
Outside.)
Arigaoa: Are you okay, Iken?
Iken: I think I've gotten an allergy.
Arigaoa: An allergy, huh? That sucks.
Iken: Y-Yeah...
Arigaoa: Well, if you're looking for someone to hang out with, you can always come over to my place.
Iken: Is everyone else here?
Arigaoa: Yep.
Shikuna: Hey, Iken! What's up?
Iken: Hi, Shikuna.
Shikuna: Come on, you gotta tell us about what's been going on lately.
Iken: I already told you, you're not really listening.
Shikuna: Oh. Right. Sorry.
Iken: It's okay. I have nothing better to do today anyway, so I guess it's cool.
Arigaoa: That's awesome, 'cause we have a gaming event going on at our place, and we're gonna throw you one, too! We're going to make sure you're entertained the entire time!
Inuyama: Oh yeah, we have so much planned, you won't be bored for a second!
Iken: *blushes again* You girls... *hiding her face behind her hands*
---
The group began to play games for hours. Iken was getting tired of losing to the other three girls.)
Iken: *losing for the third time in a row* Darn, darn, darn, darn!
Arigaoa: Don't worry, Iken! We can play again if you want. Practice makes perfect, you know!
Iken: Yeah, I guess so. It's just frustrating to keep losing.
Inuyama: Losing is just a part of the game. It's all about having fun and enjoying the experience.
Shikuna: And besides, you're improving with every round. I can see it.
Iken: Really? You think so?
Arigaoa: Absolutely. You're doing great for someone who's just starting out.
Iken smiled, feeling a warmth in her heart she hadn't felt in a long time. These girls genuinely cared about her and were making an effort to include her despite her allergies. For the first time in a while, Iken felt a sense of belonging.)
Iken: Maybe losing isn't so bad after all. As long as I'm having fun and spending time with friends, that's what truly matters.
Suddenly, a loud crash echoed from the other side, interrupting their game. The girls exchanged concerned glances.)
Mine: What just happened?
Arigaoa: It sounded like someone is outside.
Shikuna: We'd better go check it out.
Iken: Yeah, let's go.
As the group headed towards the door, another loud noise pierced the air.)
Mine: What?! Another loud noise?! This is getting way too intense!
Shikuna: It's okay, we're going to be okay.
Arigaoa: I'll check outside first. But I don't trust if it's safe.
---
Outside, again.)
Piriki: HAHAHA! There you are, Iken! I've been searching for you! But not to be let out so easily!
Iken: ?!
Iken: What... what do you mean by not getting let out so easily? Why are you talking my language?! And how can you say my name properly?! You are just a baby!
Piriki: I just learned my first word yesterday. The rest? You will never know.
Everyone suddenly got awkward and scared. They all took a few steps away from the very young toddler.)
Piriki: I'm talking normally, aren't I?
Arigaoa: *in an uneasy tone* Sure you are.
Iken: *growls*
Piriki summoned a star Akan. The girls then transformed. Cure Intello flew at Piriki and started punching and kicking her.)
Piriki: Ow, ow, ow! That hurts!
Cure Bon: *summons her weapon* Time to teach this brat a lesson!
Cure Professional: I'm with Bon! We can do this together!
Cure Intello: You guys go on ahead! I'll hold down the fort!
Cure Smart: Good idea! Let's show Piriki who's the boss!
With the girls determined to take down Piriki, they battled with all their might, dodging and striking back at every chance they got.)
Piriki: *laughs* You're actually fighting well! I'm impressed! But you forgot that my Akan isn't defeated yet!
Cure Intello: The monster is defending her! This is hopeless...
Cure Smart: I don't think we can win against her!
Cure Logic: WATCH OUT!
Cure Intello: ?!
They were all sent flying into the air by a powerful attack from Piriki's monster.)
Everyone: Aaaaaaaaah!!
Cure Intello crumpled to the ground, defeated.)
Cure Intello: Ngh...
Piriki: *smirks* I guess it's true what they say: some things just aren't meant to be. You tried your best, but in the end, you lost. Hahahahaha! This is your fault for acting so tough, Cure Intello!
Cure Intello: *whimpers*
Cure Intello's eyes began to sting with tears, as the others rushed over to help her. Piriki was still laughing over her victory.)
Cure Smart: *defensively* Intello isn't acting tough! She's trying her best to beat you!
Piriki: Yeah, and she failed miserably! Just like you and the rest of your friends will soon be doing!
Cure Smart: She had been gone through a lot, and that's not an excuse to hurt her!
Cure Professional: Disabilities or not, there are some things we can't change. And bullying is one of them. We should accept others for who they are, not try to make them into something they aren't.
Cure Smart: Exactly. People like you shouldn't get away with bullying other people!
Piriki: Tsk, tsk, tsk. Whatever. It doesn't matter anymore. It's time for you all to be punished for defying me! Akan!
The Akan wasn't answering.)
Piriki: Akan! What are you doing?! Why aren't you attacking?!
Cure Intello then recovered and hit it with her most powerful attacking, defeating it.)
Piriki: *shakes in anger* NO! Impossible!
They then performed their group attack and purified the Akan, freeing it.)
Piriki: Noooo!!! How could you?!
She then disappeared.)
Cure Intello: Well, that was easy.
---
After the fight, Iken was alone, contemplating the recent events. She sighed deeply as she tried to make sense of everything. Was she really that special to them? She didn't know, but the way they looked at her made her feel like she was.)
Iken: *writing and taking deep breaths as she was sitting on the grass* Dear diary... I don't know how to start, but... I need to put my feelings somewhere. So, I'm just gonna go straight into it. I just met the girls... and they were the nicest, most fun people I have ever met. But they also are the reason why I am sick. My mom is the only person who understands me, and now that the girls are around, I just... don't know how to feel. They're making me feel all kinds of things, but I can't seem to figure out what's real. Sometimes I just want to be left alone. It's just so hard when you have an allergy, and nobody understands you. I have been alone all my life. All my friends had moved away or had better things to do. All I wanted was a friend, and now I got one, but they are making me feel weird. I can't explain it. I'm afraid I'll lose the girls because of my allergies, and they'll forget all about me. And that's the last thing I want to happen.
Fade out.)
