Chapter 54: Chapter 54: As evil as his father Chapter 54: Chapter 54: As evil as his father Cherish Turner was completely dumbfounded. Where did this little guy come from?
âMom, listen to me, itâs not what you think, he and I, weâ¦â
âAuntie, thatâs not what you said when you came to our house!â Lewis immediately corrected, glaring at Cherish.
âYou little thing, donât talk nonsense!â This father and son pair was simply a bane of her existence. Who had she provoked?
âLittle friend, come here, grandma will give you candy to eat. Tell grandma how you and Auntie Cherish know each other?â
Mother Turner showed a kind, sweet smile, looked at Cherish, then led Lewis by his chubby little hand and settled him into the sofa.
The freshly cooked rice porridge this morning smelled delicious, tantalizing the little guyâs taste buds.
âGrandma, havenât you guys had breakfast yet?â The little one didnât answer Mother Turnerâs question, and changed the topic.
âUh, not yet. Your Auntie Cherish is such a lazybones, always waking up so late!â
As she spoke, her eyes darted like small knives towards Cherish!
Cherish was scared, and used a towel to block her motherâs sharp gaze!
âWhatâs cooking that smells so good?â Hmmm, this family was just like Auntie Cherishâsimple-minded, unable to grasp the important point when people spoke, leaving me no choice but to shamelessly guide them.
Since birth, Lewis had been pampered with the best of everything â imported milk powder, the best food, and luxuries. But he had never tasted a warm, ordinary family breakfast.
Cherish couldnât stand it anymore. She scooped a bowl of porridge from the kitchen, found a small spoon, sprinkled some preserved egg on the porridge, added a few freshly fried peanuts, and brought it in front of the little one.
âMom, heâs hungry and wants to eat. Canât you wait until heâs done before asking questions?â
As she spoke, Cherish picked up the child and placed him on the dining table!
In a low voice, she asked, âYou little rascal, how dare you come to my house and make a scene? Whereâs your father? Doesnât he watch over you?â Lewis flashed a look identical to his fatherâs and grinned sinisterly. But then, he suddenly changed his expression and cried out, âGrandma, Auntie Cherish is scolding me!â
âWhatâs wrong? Whatâs wrong? Cherish, come out here and stand by the door! Are you rebelling against me, even threatening a child now? I have questions to ask her, and sheâs not getting away today!â
Father Turner had been watching for a while and found the child to be adorable. But since the boy claimed Cherish was his fatherâs girlfriend, it meant she was attracted to a married man, which was not a good thing!
âYour mother is right. Stand aside for now and later, we will question you slowly!â
Cherish felt like fainting. The darn kid was intentionally talking nonsense â he was just as bad as his father!
Mother Turner held a small bowl in one hand and a small spoon in the other, feeding the child bite by bite. He was simply too adorable! She had never seen such a cute, fun-loving child, and it made her fall in love!
âWant more? Lewis, is Grandmaâs breakfast so delicious that you like it so much? Oh, take it slow, take it slow!â
Mother Turner lovingly fed him, completely forgetting about her plans for a thorough interrogation. She had been completely captivated by Lewisâs adorable behavior!
Just at that moment, the Turner Familyâs doorbell rang againâ
