Afternoon â Forest Clearing
After countless attempts, Bobby finally completes the task. He holds the leaf steady through his entire course, not letting it falter even once.
Garron (nodding): "Good. Take some rest, and weâll begin the next step."
Bobby (exhaling): "Fine."
Later â The Next Task
Garron: "Now we move to the next stage. This oneâs called... the Resonance Pulse Sprint â The Dual Element Test."
Garron (explaining):
"Youâll run through a winding forest path, but this time, you must maintain two resonance flows at once:
A flickering flame balanced steadily on your palm â thatâs your Fire Vein.
A circular breeze spinning around your ankles â from your Wind Vein.
Both must flow together. In perfect harmony.
While doing so, youâll need to:
Dodge through trees
Leap over logs
Maintain balance across uneven terrain
If the flame extinguishes... or the wind breaks... even once â you fail."
Bobby (nodding slowly): "Understood."
Garron: "Then letâs see if youâre ready for this. Focus. Let your body adapt to both elements. Control is everything."
Training Progress â Across the Village
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
As Bobby begins his Resonance Pulse Sprint training, others around the village push themselves just as hard.
Lara trains rigorously with her uncle, refining her lightning control. Her uncle watches her stance carefully and offers guidance.
Rael (Laraâs Uncle): "Youâre rushing your flow. Let the current build first â then strike. Timing is just as powerful as raw force."
Lara nods, determination blazing in her eyes.
In the Dusk sector, Shade spars against his fatherâs elite guards, practicing evasive movement and precision.
Meanwhile, Joran tests his brute power on boulders, each strike from his lightning-charged fists leaving cracks deep in the stone.
Beyond the village, Elyse watches the camp from a quiet hilltop, her expression unreadable.
Marin moves along a flowing stream, controlling water currents around her arms and legs, perfecting her flow control through breathwork.
And deep in the forest, Lian stands still â focused â attempting to refine his control over the Oblivion Storm Reaper. Each pulse of wind-light blend tightens as he works to master the forbidden art.
Fifth Day â Forest Clearing
After five days of relentless effort, Bobby finally completes the dual task. The flame stays lit, the wind stable â and he runs the entire path without error.
Garron (impressed): "Very good, Bobby. From now on, your resonance training is complete."
Bobby (blinking): "Wait... what does that mean?"
Garron (grinning): "It means you've reached the foundation. Now come, letâs head home."
Bobby (hesitating): "I have something I need to do first."
He suddenly bolts off.
Garron: "Waitâ!"
Bobby (calling back): "Iâll see you later! I need to find those two."
Later â Garron's Home
Garron steps through the door into his home.
Garron: "Iâm home, Ryn..."
Ryn looks around and notices someone missing.
Ryn: "Whereâs Bobby?" Garron: "He dashed off â even though I called him." Ryn: "Any idea where he went?" Garron: "No clue. He just said he had something to do. But knowing him, heâs probably training all night." Ryn: "Training... at night?" Garron: "Thatâs how he is. He works harder than anyone Iâve seen. If he keeps this up, heâll be something great one day."
Meanwhile, inside her room, Lara overhears the conversation. Her jaw tightens, anger and frustration quietly simmering.
That Night â Treehouse Bench
After searching across the village and nearby outskirts, Bobby finds no trace of the ones heâs been seeking. Exhausted and frustrated, he walks back to his treehouse.
He slumps down on the wooden bench beside it, eyes heavy.
Bobby (thinking): "No matter where I look... I still canât find them. But I will. Very soon."
He glances up through the branches.
The moon hangs high, soft and silent.
