avery's pov
i was laying down in the bed trying to fall asleep but i couldnt . my back was aching , just my whole body in general . the ball isnt until the next 2 hours , and mattia is in the shower.
knock knock
" come in" i say and mattia walks in with his hair partially wet and grey sweatpants on with no shirt.
" hey," he smiles as he closes the door. " what are you doing?"
" i was trying to sleep, but my body is aching," i explain .
" i can give you a massage." he says.
i scoot over on the bed to give him some room . " show me how those bad boys work" i laugh.
he moves my hair to the side so he can have a clear access to my back . he places is thumb on my back as the others grip on to my shoulder and begins rubbing in.
" this feels .... so good " i say as he continue to massage my back . " wonder what else those things can do."
" trust me baby , they do alot more than you think," he smirks . " i can show you if you like?"
" not right now maybe later," i say. " for now we can just cuddle before the ball."
i lift the covers for him to come in and he did. i layed on my stomach as he places his head on my lower back. he started placing small kisses all over that made me tingle. " that tickles"
" i know," he says . " just close your eyes and go to sleep"
ball night
mattia's pov
everyone was practically ready , the only person we were waiting for was avery . i already know she is gonna look gorgeous as always .
" why do women take so long?" kair groans .
" kairi shut up" avery says as she walks down the stairs . everyones eyes widen at how beautiful she looks and my my my does she look amazing.
" wow avery - um - wow" ale stutters.
i roll my eyes.

" thank you ale," she smiles . " you look stunning your self"
i walkover to her and grab her hand, i place a small kiss on it . " may i say you look amazing in that dress."
she smirks , " you just cant wait to rip it off."
" you teaser , lets go. we cant keep the people waiting," i smirk . " gaurds are the cars ready?"
" yes sir"
" alright lets get this show on the road." i say.
every separates into groups and goes into their designated car. me , avery , ale , kai , and noah got the same car. we get in and i put my hand on avery's thigh.
" your nervous," i acknowledge . " i can sense it"
" yeah , my gut is telling me somethings about to happen," she sighs . " but im just gonna let it go."
" look i know your scared , we will be there for an hour or two then we will leave." i tell her.
" thank you" she smiles. " i feel like i wont fit in."
" trust me with that dress on ," i smirk . " you will fit in."
" hopefully," she says.
avery's pov
we get out of the car hand and hand to the entrance. i feel a huge bubble form in my stomach from nervousness. i dont know but something doesnt feel right at all , maybe its nothing .
the only person i am worried about is mya , havent seen her at all.
" you ready?" mattia whispers to me and i nod and smile.
as we walk through the door everyone's attention draws to us. there was a lot of freaking people here. besides that the place was beautifully decorated and the lights were very dim.
" wow there are alot of people here," i tell mattia . " i didnt know there was so much."
" trust me there are alot more," he says. " all over the world."
we release hands and a bunch of people call to mattia . " be somewhere i can find you"
" okay." i answer and he kisses my hand before walking away.
" dave come with me to look around," i tell dave . " as much as i love to escape id rather be safe."
dave walks up to me and brings one extra solider. i walked around the banquet and saw a bunch of paintings. as i walked around i notice someone that kept staring at me throughout the night. what the fuck is up with him?
after a bit we walked into this huge library filled with old books. this was the biggest library i have ever seen.
" woah these books are really old," i exclaim .
" they are," the solider said. "these books have been around longer than matti's father."
" they each focus on all the histories of every mafia to be known," dave explains.
i walked closer to this painting to take a look before i could do anything someone grabs my hand forcefully .
" long time no see princess," elijah says . " where's your boy toy?"
the two soliders were on the floor knocked out cold . i tried to scream for help but he covered my mouth.
" behind you dumbass," mattia answered. " elijah , do we have a problem here?"
" oh , you see this little lady belongs to me," elijah smiles . " and im here to take her back from you."
" oh no your not," mattia says .
" yes i am," elijah says . " in return i want my shipment back."
" nope, thats impossible," mattia shouts. " because your not leaving with her."
" mattia you dont have a choice," elijah says . " its that or i will blow her head open."
i tried to fight him off but he was to strong. how did elijah even know i was here?
" over my dead body," mattia stands in front of us. " your lucky this is a non violent event , i would have curb stomped your head in."
" let me go elijah," i gasp .
" oh no babe your coming with me," elijah tells me .
" what the hell is going on here?" kairi and alejandro approaches us.
" elijah?" kairi gasps.
" look , i had her before you did . so under these circumstances i will be leaving here with her , whether you like it or not."
" the only thing your leaving here with is a bullet hole in your chest if you dont let her go." mattia says but kairi holds him back.
"quick question, how did you know she was even with us?" alejandro asked .
" i may have a little bug in your house , you might want to exterminate her." elijah smiles .
" fucking mya " i yell .
" thats it let me take the girl peacefully or i promise tommorrow there would be a bunch of dead panthers scattered all over jersey."
" give it your best shot"
" you dont want to challenge me , i will reign hell fire on the panthers."
" mattia we cant risk it," kairi whispers . " sorry but we will be sacraficing thousands of people for one person . i wouldnt even let you do it for me or alejandro." kairi looks at me .
" y/n im really really sorry , but we will get you back as soon as possible." kairi says.
" mattia please" i cry .
" ill be back for you okay? you just wait for me please?" mattia glares at me . " i promise"
" yeah right , lets get this show on the road boys," elijah pushes me in front of him. " see you soon."
