i groaned in pain as i sat up in the hospital bed. the room was pretty dark but across from the bed a see mattia sleeping. i looked next to me and my baby was there.
i wanted to get up and take a look , so i quietly swing my legs over to the edge and scoot up. i winced a little at the pain but it wasn't that bad. i finally gained enough strength to push off and stand up.
i walk over to her and just admired how beautiful she was. she looks so much like mattia it's actually scary. i pick her up and watch as she slowly opens her eyes.
" hi baby its mommy , you look so beautiful." i smile as we rock side to side. " your gonna meet daddy once he wakes up,"
i walkover to the large window in the hospital room as a play around with her little fingers. " did you just smile at mommy?" i get all excited.
i watched out the window as rain starts to fall. the glass starts to fog up and the sky grows darker. thankfully the low lights kept the room light enough for me to see.
i felt a pair of heavy hands grab my shoulder lightly. " should you be standing up so soon?" mattia whispers in my ear.
" no but im hard headed," i chuckle and turn around. mattia looks down and smiles at our baby. " she looks just like you."
he nods his head and takes off his shirt. mattia holds out his hands and i place the baby in them. " her name fits her perfectly,"
" yeah that's because i picked it," i smile and watch the two just stare at each other. " lia valentina polibio"
" hi lia , it's daddy." he says as she holds onto his finger.
i sit back on the hospital bed and as i do the door begins to knock. mattia looks out the window and see its the doctor. " come in,"
the doctor comes in with pink scrubs and a clip board. " hey avery , im here to check your vitals and then you have some guest out there for you." the doctor informs me.
" ok,"
she takes my weight , height, and blood pressure and puts it in the computer. " alright so how is the pain on a scale from 0-10?"
" i would say a 5 ," i answer her.
" alright your all set , your due to go home tomorrow. your babygirl is all healthy , the head doctor will come in with the birth certificate for you both to sign." she says and gets up from the chair.
" any questions?"
" no thank you,"
" ok once again congratulations," she smiles and walks out of the room.
the doctor exits the room and as she closes the door it opens again. half of the crew came in and they immediately looked for the baby. " im here too you know?" i state.
" how you feeling?" camila questions me. " good now that she is out , delivering her wasnt as easy as i thought." i answer her.
" you're finally a mommy av , im so happy for you!" she holds my hands and smiles at me.
" thank you , oh-" i groan in pain while i hold my stomach. " are you okay whats wrong?" camila worries as she garbs my hand. i start to huff from the uncomfortable pain im feeling. she puts her other hand on the small of my back.
" mattia get over here please," she calls for him. he walks from behind the chrtainn smiling but it immediately drops once he sees me. " hey what happened? whats wrong?" he places lia back into her sleeping bed. he walks back over to me and examines me.
" holy fuck , is it hot in here or its just me?" i believe im starting to sweat . i feel so weak in the knees and like my gut is about to explode. i squeeze camilas hand in pain and yell out a ferocious scream. " hey whats going on - oh my god , are you ok?" niall and the rest come around the corner.
" are you fucking blind? obviously she is not , call a god damn nurse." camila yells at him. " mattia , what the hell is happening to me?"
" i dont know baby, but hold on until tthe nurses come ok." he tells me and places me back onto the bed.
the nurses barge into the room and ask us to step away. she takes a look at y/n and examines her from underneath her hospital dress. " ok we are gonna have to take you back to the delivery room immediately." the doctor states.
" wait why?" mattia immediately questions , simply reading my mind.
the doctor stays quiet for a while the looks at me and finally answers. " your going into labor again , it looks like we have another baby in there."
everyones mouth drops to the floor andi dont even know what to say. the doctor plugs out all the machines and takes me out of the hospital room. " so you're basically saying i have twins?" i gulp and she nods her head frantically.
that's impossible, i literally never missed an ultrasound and the doctor said its only one baby.
this is so unexpected....
