Family Dinner.
Nicole was back, so of course Yvonne wasn't going anywhere.
She hovered protectively by Nicole's side, fierce as a mother wolf with her cub. Her gaze toward Jade and Brandon was sharp and threatening, as if she were staring down a pair of venomous cockroaches. "Stay away from Nicole. I don't even want to breathe the same air as you."
Mrs. White's hands were trembling with anger, and all her former haughtiness had evaporated.
She knew better than to provoke Yvonne, so she kept her distance.
"Nicole, they're all terrible people. They're the ones who killed your parents. I may not have proof yet, but I swear I'll see them behind bars one day,"
Yvonne said, her voice thick with emotion, her tone infinitely gentle as she spoke to Nicole.
Nicole looked at Yvonne with a hint of fear and nodded.
Alicia watched the two of them, a little envious.
To have such a wonderful aunt standing up for herâNicole was truly lucky.
"What are you staring at?" Tyrone flicked Alicia lightly on the forehead, noticing her gaze.
Snapping out of her thoughts, Alicia glanced up at Tyrone. "I was just thinking... a princess is always a princess."
There were always people around to protect a princess.
"Yeah," Tyrone agreed, offering no denial.
Alicia dropped her gaze and fell silent.
"Come on, my little princess. Let's eat. The sooner we finish, the sooner we can head back to the hotel," Tyrone said, taking her hand and leading her toward the dining room.
All he wanted now was to be alone with Alicia.
But with the old man here, he couldn't just whisk her away.
Alicia stared at Tyrone in disbelief.
Did he just... call her his little princess?
She smiled bitterly, her eyes stinging. She wasn't even a Cinderella.
...
Reginald sat at the head of the table, looking displeased. Maddox sat beside him, silent.
"Nicole is back. The marriage arrangement between her and Tyrone needs to be honored," Reginald said in a low voice.
Maddox nodded. "Yes, that's right."
"But Tyrone is already married to that Alicia girl. What are you planning to do?" Reginald turned to Maddox.
"Alicia is pregnant. For now, let's wait. Give Nicole time to adjust, let her and Tyrone spend some time together. As soon as Alicia has the baby, I'll see to it they get divorced," Maddox replied, his tone unwavering.
Reginald nodded. There was nothing else for it.
The union between Nicole and Tyrone was too important to both families.
"Nicole, don't believe everything your grandfather says. Old age makes people blind to the truth, and he's always favored his illegitimate son," Yvonne said with biting sarcasm, running her hand over Nicole's hair.
Nicole winced and looked at Yvonne nervously.
Yvonne's expression softened. "Sorry, sweetheart, did I hurt you? Your hair's so dry. One day, I'll take you to get a proper treatment."
Nicole nodded.
Leaning back in her chair, Yvonne quietly slipped a few strands of Nicole's hair into her purse, her expression thoughtful.
She didn't trust Brandon and Jade for a second. Would Nicole have been found so easily if those rats hadn't been involved?
...
Meanwhile, Maddox called Tyrone over, leaving Alicia by herself on the sofa.
Jade's mother, still seething after her run-in with Yvonne, decided to vent her frustration on Alicia.

ï¤Chapter 101 Transmigration: I Have Storage Space in the Apocalypse ï¤Chapter 760 - 756: Encountering a Man with Evil Intentions "Now that Nicole's back, if you have any dignity, you'll divorce Tyrone yourself. Don't make us throw you out," Mrs. White huffed, settling herself down.
"And don't forget to take off that braceletâyou know it belongs to our family."
Alicia regarded her calmly, recognizing the hysteria behind her words. Her voice was gentle. "Your family?"
Jade's mother frowned, her anger flaring as she slapped the table. "What's that supposed to mean?"
Alicia smiled softly. "I'm just a little confused. From what I gathered earlier, it seems you're not actually a part of the White family. If I recall, the family name comes from the old man's legal wife, while you and your husband are... well, not exactly legitimate heirs."
Even if a child born out of wedlock took their mother's surname, it didn't make them the rightful heirs of the family name. Brandon and Jade's desperation to climb the social ladder was truly shameless.
Jade's mother exploded at that, her composure vanishing. She shot to her feet and accidentally knocked a delicate ornament to the floor, shattering it.
"How dare you! Who do you think you are to talk to me like that? You're nothing but a kept womanânothing more than a shameless mistress!"
