Chapter 123

He'd planned to give her a break tonight, but after what happened... sleep was out of the question.

Alicia still had no idea what she'd done to upset Tyrone. He carried her into the bathroom, only to torment her there, then brought her back to bed and kept at it until dawn was breaking. She'd cried herself hoarse and still couldn't figure out what she'd done wrong.

All the while, Tyrone wouldn't stop asking if she knew her mistake.

Was it that she hadn't pleased him enough? Was she lacking in effort, skill, or experience?

Clearly, she needed to ask Felix's celebrity friend for some pointers tomorrow.

After all, if there was one thing Alicia had learned from her time with Vincent, it was that men think with their bodies more than their heads.

"Tyrone... please, I'm begging you." Alicia's voice was raw as she pleaded with him.

But Tyrone had made it clear—he wasn't letting her rest tonight.

After spending this time together, Alicia had figured him out. Tyrone was, at heart, a classic proud aristocrat—soft when you're gentle, immovable when you're not.

Finally, completely overwhelmed, Alicia burst into tears and called out, "Tyrone..."

He paused for a moment, and Alicia thought maybe her plea had worked. But instead, he only pushed her further. "What did you just call me?" His voice was low and rough.

"Tyrone..."

"Not good enough."

"Tyrone..."

"Try something else. Call me by another name. If I like it, I'll let you go." Tyrone's voice was hoarse as he kissed the tears from the corner of her eye.

Alicia gazed at him, confused. "Tyrone..."

He just waited.

She tried again. "Ash..."

None of it seemed right.

Sobbing, Alicia clung tightly to him.

She couldn't understand—why did Melanie claim Tyrone was disinterested in women? Why was Serena so sure he'd never touch her?

Her head was spinning. She wasn't even sure if she drifted off to sleep or simply passed out.

It was as if Tyrone was doing it on purpose, over and over again. Was he trying to get her pregnant as quickly as possible, or was this just who he was—someone with desires he didn't bother to hide?

It was true—never judge a man by his cover. In a suit, Tyrone was one kind of person; out of it, he was something else entirely.

...

By the time Alicia woke, it was already noon.

Tyrone hadn't called Wilma back. Instead, he'd cooked lunch for Alicia himself and left it warming for her.

He'd also left a note on the kitchen counter. "I have to step out for a bit. I'll be home tonight. Don't forget to eat."

His handwriting was as elegant as he was; even a simple sticky note was too pretty to throw away.

Alicia smiled, peeled it off the counter, and tucked it into the back of her journal.

She got up to wash, but the moment she moved, she felt a sticky mess on her thighs.

They'd passed out straight away last night, and Tyrone hadn't bothered to clean her up.

Blushing furiously, Alicia rushed into the bathroom for a shower.

All she could think about was what Tyrone had done to her the night before...

It was true: there are only two ways for a woman to forget her last love—time, or another man.

Alicia never expected she'd move on so quickly.

Maybe it was just that she'd finally had enough disappointment with Vincent.

When she loved, she loved with her whole heart. But now? When she thought of Vincent, she didn't feel a thing.

Seaview International Airport.

Jade and Nicole had just arrived in Seaview City.

"Do you think Alicia will cooperate and go to the hospital with us?" Nicole's voice was tight with worry.

"If she won't, we'll force her," Jade replied coldly. "Even if she really is pregnant... we'll find a way to get rid of that child. Otherwise, Tyrone won't divorce her until the baby's born."

She knew Tyrone would never marry her, but he had to marry “Nicole.' The White family and the Lynch family needed this alliance.

Jade was determined to make sure the White family got every advantage possible out of it.
