Chapter 251

She had no choice-her employer was her lifeline. As a single mother, Alicia would do anything for her son.

"Should we call the police?" Chester asked, glancing at Alicia with concern.

He finally understood: Alicia had just escaped one nightmare with Vincent, only to find herself trapped in another with the Lynch family.

"For Tyrone's sake, I haven't called the police yet," Alicia said, her voice steady as she looked at Wilma. "But Wilma, after what you've done, I can't keep you here. Go back to the Lynch estate. When Tyrone and I married, he said this apartment was a gift to me, so it's my decision now."

She couldn't have the old man's people in her home anymore.

"Sir won't agree," Wilma stammered, anxiety creeping into her voice. "He's not used to having anyone else look after him..."

The old man had given her a task, and if she failed, she doubted she'd be welcomed back at the Lynch estate.

"This is Alicia's home. She decides who stays," came Tyrone's voice from the doorway.

Alicia turned, stunned to see him there.

Tyrone? Why was he back so soon? It had been over two hours since they'd ended their video call had he rushed all the way from Capitalis City just for her?

"Tyrone..." she breathed, overcome with emotion. Without thinking, she ran to him and threw her arms around him.

Tyrone smiled gently, the exhaustion on his face vanishing in an instant.

"Sir..." Wilma faltered, looking both anxious and uneasy.

"Tyrone, Alicia is your wife. It's your job to protect her," Chester said, frustration leaking into his tone. "Every other day it's either a miscarriage or someone trying to drug her-how is she supposed to live like this?"

He knew it wasn't Tyrone's fault, not really. But Tyrone knew better than anyone what his own family was capable of; he should've been more vigilant.

"I can take care of myself," Alicia interrupted, not wanting to burden Tyrone.

"Explain the drugging," Tyrone said, his voice suddenly cold as steel, eyes fixed on Wilma.

Wilma lowered her gaze, trembling. She'd served Tyrone for years, but she'd rarely seen him this furious.

"It was the old master..." she admitted in a small voice.

Telling Tyrone the truth meant she'd likely never be allowed back at the Lynch estate.

Tyrone didn't press further. He already understood what his father was trying to do.

"Chester, thank you for everything today," Tyrone said, turning to him. "I should've protected Alicia better. Both times, I let my guard down."

He sounded weary, defeated. He'd been so busy watching the White family, Jade, Nicole, Vincent, and Mina, but he'd never expected the real danger was lurking closest to home.

Chester nodded. Issues within the Lynch family would have to be resolved by Tyrone himself.

"Thank you, Chester," Alicia said quietly, walking him to the door.

Chester paused, then added, "Things like this are bound to happen when you're with Tyrone. He's not just a millionaire-he's worth billions. That kind of wealth attracts trouble."

Alicia nodded in understanding.

Chester hesitated, then continued, "You did the right thing not calling the police and cornering Wilma. For people who still have some conscience, don't drive them

desperation. Leave them a way out. Just make sure she never gets another chance to hurt you."

Alicia nodded again.

"Take care of yourself,” Chester said, then hesitated before adding, "And think carefully about whether you can really survive in the Lynch family. If you can't win this fight, it's better to get out sooner rather than later. Don't lose your life over it."

He'd seen too many people destroyed trying to stay.

Alicia clenched her fists. "I... I want to stay with him."

The moment she realized even Maddox was scheming against Tyrone, her heart ached for him. She didn't want him to face it all alone.

"Then get stronger," Chester said meaningfully, giving her shoulder a reassuring squeeze before turning to leave. "Don't waste time trying to be the good guy."
