The coolest person you'll ever meet

Jettson's POV

We arrive at the school and are greeted by some old teacher who tells us all to go to our dorms. I walk down the halls wondering about my roommate, I just hope I don't get some snooty ass angel or a blood sucker - can't stand them.

I finally find my door and read the name on the plaque 'Daniel Hydra'. Hydra as in dragon? Perhaps this won't be too bad.

I open the door and see a ginger boy with blue eyes sat on his bed reading, the room is decorated with oranges and reds, I don't mind those colours. I sniff the air, definitely dragon. Maybe the orange reminds him of fire, I chuckle to myself - obviously catching his attention as he looks up.When he catches eye contact with me he smiles, what?

"What you smiling at?" I question, intrigued by his cheerful reaction.

"You're eyes, they are grey! They remind me of the ash after a fireball." He happily exclaims and I give him a grin.

"I'm Jettson, but you can call me Jett for short." I state and he nods before replying,

"I'm Daniel, or Dan, or even Danny I guess." He shrugs, we'll be good friends.

"Alright Danny, I guess we should get ready for dinner?" He nods in agreement.

"So have you met anybody yet?" I ask and he thinks for a moment before replying,

"Only one girl, she's literally cold as fuck, I knew she didn't want to talk to me but I wasn't going to sit next to her in silence on the plane. Her names Rosabella, a vampire."

"Ugh I hate those blood suckers. They think they own the world and everything in it. Apparently they can switch off their humanity, like have no emotions at all. Why the hell would you want zero emotions."

"Yeah she said she switched hers off a while ago. Something about how she loves to hunt and with emotions comes remorse. A bit harsh to be fair but each to their own I guess." I shrug at his answer, this blood sucker sounds like a bitch.

Danny and I head to the dining hall and open it up. There are three long white tables down the centre of the room and another at the end were the teachers are seated. There are already many teens seated at their tables. There are three houses at this school based the the power a supernatural has; Moonspark (most powerful), Sunvalley (Average power), Starfly (least powerful).

I check my emails to see that I'm in Moonspark, obviously, I mean I will be an alpha soon. Daniel checks and sees he has the same as me so we make our way to the middle table and take a seat. Once everyone is seated I notice two seats in front of Danny and I are not taken. Next to the empty seats sits a boy with light brown hair and green eyes. I sniff the air, a hybrid. He is talking to a girl with frizzy black her and a clear complexion shows on her dark skin, I sniff the air again, a witch.

On the other side of the empty chairs sits a girl with blonde hair and freckles with hazel eyes, I sniff again, a mermaid. And seated next to her is a guy with light blue eyes and white hair, I sniff again and ugh it's an angel.

I cut from my thoughts as the door is slammed open revealing two girls, the one in a black dress has black hair with green eyes, she's hot but has nothing compared to the other. She wears a tight red dress and has long shiny brunette hair, her eyes are a chocolate brown colour. They both hold devilish smirks on their faces, knowing that all the attention is on them. They take their seats in front of the two of us but the silence is broken by the girl in red.

"Ugh it smells like wet dog in here." Her friend snickers from next to her. Wait did she just insult me?

"What did you just say?" I growl, hearing another low growl from the hybrid sat next to her friend, and she just smirks before replying,

"Calm down wolf boy, did somebody not get to go for his morning walkies?" She says, in a voice as if she's talking to a puppy. I sniff the air, blood sucker.

"Who do you think you're talking to, blood sucker?" I snarl.

"Is that supposed to insult me?" She laughs, " and I pretty sure I'm talking to you, unless there is another brooding dog around here?" She asks while looking around.

"Rosabella, nice to see you again." Danny pipes up, trying to ease the tension.

"Wish I could say the same Hydra." She replies with a quick glance.

"And who might you be?" He asks the other girl.

"Satana Noire." She states bluntly, an strong accent forcing its way out.

Well aren't these girls a couple rays of sunshine?

"Satana Noire, what type of supernatural are you?" Danny asks her, a curious look on his face while she holds her cold expression.

"A demon." She states even more bluntly than before.

"Well nice to meet you, I'm Daniel Hydra and I'm a-"

"A dragon, I know." She cuts him off, looking bored at this conversation.

"So let's go through our little section of people shall we?" Rosabella begins, "we have a brooding mutt, a blabbering dragon, my demon roomie," she pauses sniffing the air before continuing, "a witch, a mermaid, ugh an angel and a powerful abomination." And with that all hell breaks loose.

"WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU JUST CALL ME?!" the hybrid shouts causing the table to shake slightly.

"Jeez no need to burst my eardrums. I called you an abomination because in order for you to exist, that would mean a vampire stooped so low to have sex with some dirty dog." Rosabella reply's, what a bitch.

Everyone freezes, shocked at her words and the bitterness she says them in. The only sounds are the low growls sounding from the hybrid and I, his because she insulted him, mine because she called my kind 'dirty dogs'.

In one swift motion the hybrid pins her to the wall by her neck, it won't kill her because she's a vampire anyways. I notice her gasping for air however the cold expression doesn't leave her face and I can tell that she meant every word she just said. All of a sudden he falls to the ground clutching his head in pain while she catches her breath. I turn to see the witch with her hand out, she's protecting that bitch?

She stops and he returns to his normal yet calmer state. Rosabella stands and heads towards the witch.

"What's your name, you look familiar."

"Blair Lockston." The witch replies, a smirk on her face. Rosabella thinks for a moment before talking again.

"Well I'd be damned, a Lockston witch. God the last time I saw one of you was when I was hunting and stumbled across an elderly casting a spell, her name was Eliza I believe."

Blair gives a small smile before saying, "That was my grandmother I remember her taking about meeting a vamp child trying to hunt a deer in the woods. She said that you showed intense remorse once you had fed and that she helped you with your humanity switch."

"Indeed she did, it hasn't been back on since. Oh this is my roommate Satana, I know that we'll all get up to trouble in this school together." I notice a small smirk form on her lips as she talks which creates the faint line of a dimple on her left cheek.

"So why don't we all get acquainted as you all heard I'm Daniel." Danny begins, looking around the rest of the group for someone to follow his lead.

"I'm Blair." witchy says in a bored tone.

"Satana" she states.

"The names Griffin" the hybrids speaks up, still sending glares towards vampy.

"I'm Jettson" I say.

"I'm the coolest person you'll ever meet." Rosabella exclaims with a shrug, gaining a snicker from Satana and Blair while everyone else rolls their eyes.

"My names Coral, I'm a mermaid." Blondie pipes up, a huge smile on her face, jeez how can someone be so happy?

"The names Albie Gabriel, I'm an angel." Oh God I hate him already.

"Well now we are all acquainted, I'm going to eat." Rosa explains, I expect her to reach for some of the banquet but she reaches into her clutch and pulls out a blood bag and a straw before drinking the contents, gross.
